Finders Keepers - Glass Floats on the Beach

Finders Keepers - Glass Floats on the Beach

Be on the lookout for the colorful twinkle of a hand-blown glass float when you're exploring our beaches. As the name says, Finders Keepers!

Let the hunt begin and discover glass treasures in Lincoln City every day of the year! Our army of Float Fairies covertly hits our seven miles of public beach hiding handcrafted glass floats along their way, from Roads End on the north to Siletz Bay on the south. In addition to the floats placed on the beach daily, we place extra floats on the beach for holidays and special occasions. You find it, you keep it!

ANTIQUING IN LINCOLN CITY

ANTIQUING IN LINCOLN CITY

Antique shops and used book stores abound in Lincoln City, which was once named one of the great undiscovered places to antique in the United States. It may seem curious that Lincoln City, one of the youngest communities on the Oregon Coast, would be a good place to find antiques. But in the five historic neighborhoods – Delake, Oceanlake, Nelscott, Taft and Cutler City – you'll find a rich history and a love of fine, old things. In addition, there are several vintage book stores which deal in those hard-to-find volumes you have always wanted to display on your bookshelf. Collectors can find rare books or stock their shelves with favorite writers, regions or subjects.

Lincoln City Sandcastle Contest

Lincoln City Sandcastle Contest

The Lincoln City Sandcastle Contest at Siletz Bay is a wondrous, fun-filled day celebrating one of Lincoln City's best adventures—playing on our beaches.

Take part in the Sandcastle Contest, held at Siletz Bay in the Historic Taft District presented by Mo's Lincoln City. Watch the sand come to life and become marine life, castles and characters.
Registration for the contest begins at 11am off SW 51st Street. Registration is free, but a donation of a non-perishable food item per person is encouraged—all donations benefit the Lincoln City Food Pantry.
Only sand, water, shells and other natural beach materials found on the beach that day can be used for construction. Forms can be used in the construction process but cannot
support the final structure. Hand tools are allowed, but not power tools. This is an amateur competition—professional “sand artists” are disqualified from winning prizes.
