This campground should NOT be associated with KOA! The property is in poor condition, no attempt to cut weeds from the property or maintain this campground! Sites are very tight, my picnic table was under my neighbors slide out.

The KOA is a little run down for the money you pay. Bypass if you can but for the power needed, it was HOT, then ok.

Overall disappointment for KOA & price,one of the most expensive in our 3 mth. cross-country, FL to Alaska trip. Zev was great at check-in. Bathrooms & showers were nice. The bathhouse fence is rotten & needs painting and there was miscellaneous stuff laying around under stairwells. Just not neat & professional looking. Disappointment to us and KOA. We have stayed here over the past 5 years and on this trip I was very disappointed in the campground. No mowing, trash cans full, dog park was terrible, plus no wifi and no cable. Hope it gets improved soon.

This park needs a new KOA flag. Doggie dump stations should be removed if the staff is not going to empty. Not too much attention to detail as though some sites cannot be used. They are totally overgrown. Nice pool. Staff friendly.

The hook up’s were ok, no Wi-Fi and there was a dead tree at our site. Made reservations a couple of hours before arrival but they said nothing about the Wi-Fi not working.

Just an overnight stop. Bathrooms a little dated but very clean. Friendly staff. Grounds need a little tidy up. Couple of big dead branches on the ground covering sites. Watch the water pressure! Still for our overnight needs it was just fine.

The location was good for a one night stay as a traveler passing through Limon. Men's bathroom had a problem with a standing water puddle in front of half of the bathroom sink. Also noticed a water leak through the wall of the shower adjacent to one of the toilets. Would recommend repairing these maintenance items. In spite of these items, I would consider visiting again.

This was an older campground that needed some maintenance. The pool was cloudy and unclean. The landscape around the pool and elsewhere needed trimming, weeding and general cleanup. Overall, not what we expected.

Staff was nice and campground sites were clean and level. Unfortunately there was no cable, WI-FI was down and their hose to refill propane was broken so a little frustrating.

Limon KOA fulfilled our need for a one-night stopover in route out west but otherwise the lack of trees/vegetation, privacy/space and proximity to the highway would keep me from returning. We did not use any of the facilities (laundry, pool, restrooms) so no opinion on those amenities.

This place was a nightmare of ownership not caring at all about representing KOA or this location. The dog poop stations had NEVER been emptied and bags never refilled. The weeds were relentless in the campground. All posted complaints from 2 years ago are still in affect. The management doesn't keep the hours posted on the internet. The men’s bath/shower facility had an inch or so of water covering the floor and one of two toilets was clogged with feces. Just after arrival I told the clerk at the desk that it needed attention. It was still in the same condition the following morning.

No charcoal in store. We were told that there was 2 restaurants on the premises, but then were told that neither one was open at 3pm. No cable TV. No wifi. Place needs major updates!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The available sites were not well kept and most importantly overpriced. Usually Koa’s maintain a certain standard, we chose this location over the neighboring campground due to our experience with Koa. It was mainly a hub occupied by local construction workers. Limon KOA was sufficient, full hookups worked, check in went fine, pool was cold but clean. No trees really but great location near the highway. Seemed expensive since we paid $20 less in Salina KOA and had a bbq gas grill, patio, table, umbrella and chairs next to our spot and a nice pool. A bit disappointed with Limon after a great stay in Salina.

Arrive shortly before 5pm and the office was closed, website says they are open until 7pm. Sign said they were closing early. This campground has been the worst kept KOA we have stayed at. Tall weeds everywhere, gravel sites had potholes, dog park was weed filled. Difficult maneuvering in and out of campground. Luckily we were only staying one night.

The “yard” for all the sites is nothing but overgrown weeds. The “doggie” dumpsters for waste collections were overflowing and looked like they hadn’t be emptied for quite some time. The picnic tables were either warped or broken, but not useable. DEFINITELY NOT worth $67 a nite.

We only stayed one night. The weeds were all grown up around the water hydrant and sewer pipe, it looked as if maybe a few sites were grown up in the middle, all the others looked nice and clean. The laundry facilities were nice and clean.

The entire staff was kind and courteous. And friendly. Outstandingly helpful when I had an issue with my rig. I would stay there again.

Good for an overnight stay. Our site was close to dog area and people obviously did not feel the need to clean up after their dogs in route to the area. Found a few piles of doggie doo at the site which made quite smelly. We were only overnight in route so was ok but I wouldn’t stay more than a night, too many obviously living in park long term.

The Limon park was convenient for a short stay and worked well for us. It has a pool, store, and a "Bounce Pad" and other amenities. It is in the middle of the sparse eastern-Colorado farm belt. The staff was welcoming and there is a small store where we registered. The greenery was sparse with young trees. There was no fire-pit, but they did have a grill on a post and a tired picnic table.

We feel this KOA is a good place to stop for the night or spend several days here as a base camp. We felt the upgraded tent sites are worth traveling extra distance to stay here. This KOA is no secret as it is always quite busy. Reservations during the warmer months are strongly encouraged. We visited May 2024
