When our reservation was made in February we requested a handicapped cabin. When I called to check and see what I got I was told they only have 2 handicapped cabins and we were assigned KTG13 as KTG14 was taken. The bed in the cabin is one of the double ones with a sleep bunk on top. The couch isn't safe for any handicapped person to sit on or get out of.

If we weren't in a bit of a rush to get home, this is a place where I would loved to stay for a few more days. It's a really nice park - nice amenities, and super nice people. We felt like Leah (Lea?) went the extra mile for us, and we just loved her. Someone like that makes me want to come back again. Super nice KOA.

Very nice camp, well groomed lawns, hostas everywhere! Great staff! Lots of activities for kids to do in season. We were a little disappointed with dog hair on the rugs, flattened out cushion on the futon and a door that would not lock until my husband did some adjustment on the door jam. We were there early in the season so staffing may have been light. Even so, I still recommend this campground!

The two room cabin was perfect size! It had a mini fridge and microwave that were bonus amenities! Lots of activities! Everything at this location was clean and the staff was very friendly! It was a very relaxing stay!

Mothers Day weekend. Loved receiving a carnation upon arrival. Sunday breakfast was fantastic. Pancakes had a cinnamon flavor, very surprising. We really enjoyed the scrambled eggs. Oh so tasty �. All staff pleasant, helpfull and energetic. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Our stay was great! TV wasn't working but Joe spent almost 2 hours working on it! He didn't give up till he got it working! Thanks so much! We love this KOA and will continue to camp here! Love the cabins!

Wonderful location, clean restrooms, friendly staff. Campsite was very well maintained. Staff were working constantly and were more than willing to lend a hand when needed. Be sure to go into Lena while staying at the KOA. The Lena Drive In, and the Eats and Treats deli are worth the visit. The Jane Adams bike trail is close and is safe and easy riding, as is the Pec River for kayaking. Great Stay

Joe runs a great campground. Everything is kept tidy and in working order, the staff is wonderful, and the service outstanding. We camp there at least twice per year, and have done so for the past 15+ years.

We camped in a slide in truck camper on a water/electric site. Was worried about the noise from the highway when we saw the site but it was not an issue for us. Garbage disposal was a bit tricky, could not find a dumpster so left the trash at dump station. A nice spot to camp for a weekend or as a passing thru campground. Lena brewing and Rafters restaurant down the road mile was tasty!

We have been here several times and love every visit no matter the time of season! The hosts have well planned out activities, the grounds are clean and well maintained, and it’s always for peace and quiet! It’s a top choice in campgrounds!

We stayed 3 nts April 2023 in a pull-thru near the entrance. As with most such sites, there was little grassy area, and the fire pit was right next to a roadway. But, the staff were all friendly and helpful and I appreciated the local wines & beers available for purchase in the camp store. There was a nice deck next to the camper, too, so mat was not needed. Daytime road noise is real by the hwy.

All the employees were super friendly and it was nice talking to the owner. The campground was very clean. When we go to Galena for another weekend we will stay at this KOA again. Thanks for a nice time.

Campground was beautiful however it was 38 degrees, rain and 45 mph winds. But we stuck it out. Going back in July.

They made it very easy to book a weekend trip. They make sure you are well aware of all the awesome activities with texts throughout the day. Unfortunately, we did forget a bike helmet at the campground and it was difficult to coordinate with them to ship it to me, however, they were kind enough to hold on to it for at least a week until I could drive out there and pick it up. On a side note, they have an amazing selection of beverages from the local establishment that will certainly leave you wanting more.
