Bennett Spring State Park lies minutes away, where clear spring-fed streams flow through a shady hardwood forest. Anglers seek out these prime trout waters, stocked daily during fishing season. Hikers can also explore 12 miles of trails leading past natural rock tunnels and through an oak-hickory forest.
Area outfitters rent canoes and rafts and offer guided tours for scenic floats down the Niangua River. Historic Route 66 passes through nearby Lebanon, where you can browse flea markets and antique shops for nostalgic souvenirs. Pool open from Memorial Weekend to September 30.
