The campground is well maintained and has great spots by the river. The only negative of the campground (and Lava Hot Springs in general) is the road and train noise at night. Otherwise its a first class campground and is close to some of the best soaking on the planet!

They need to level the pads as they are overly uneven, making it difficult to level a motorhome. Otherwise, everything was nice.

Nice level site, cute store, nice staff, close to town. The big bummer is what others have said the road next to it is loud with trucks jake braking and an occasional loud train. Shade in the premium spots is non existent. Our premium site did not have a propane grill.

Campground is great. Wide variety of site sizes to fit everyone. River sites are beautiful. Walking distance to town. Extremely clean and well kept. Two major downsides- which aren’t the fault of the owners - the proximity to the highway and railway is intolerable; and the bugs (some sort of creepy flying beetle) by the hundreds , mostly in the afternoon.

I enjoy the clean facilities at this KOA. The only down side is it being so close to the highway and the loud trucks all day and all night but not the facility faultZ

Our Site #14 was very nice, but they assigned Site #1 first which was awful. It was right up against the office building & by the trash for the garbage truck to pick up, & it appeared to be something they just added. People actually parked in front of it because it just appeared to be a regular parking space. I recommend getting rid of that as a camping spot. Site 14 by the river was wonderful!

The best spots in town are sites 12 - 16. We stayed in 15 & 16. It was so pretty and calm. Great access to town and walking trails. We'll definitely be back!

Can't say enough good things about this beautiful KOA. What a spot! Loved the scenery and the drive to get there from the I-15 was beautiful. The bathrooms were great. We stayed at the East section and the sink, toilet and shower were in their own rooms, very private. Absolutely loved our stay here. The older gentleman at check in was very friendly and it was an all around great experience. I

One of the nicest Koa's we have stayed at! Our spot was big and had a parking spot. We had a nice patio with grass. The dog park was very clean. The bathrooms/showers were amazing. Individual bathroom with plenty of hot water. The staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Most of our stay was great. A little narrow but nice RV spaces, nice fire pit and hookups. The only complaint is the young man at the office was somewhat rude and acted like customers were a bother.

The campground and facilities are nice. The location of the campground is very noisy. We were placed in a site beside the highway. No barrier to protect us if a car were to leave the Hwy. We were also directly across from the railroad tracks. From the hours of 11:30 at night to four in the morning, nine trains went by. Very expensive campsite to listen to Hwy and train noise all night long.

Loved this location! Absolutely beautiful, affordable, & conveniently located. We live only 15 miles from here, but decided to camp at the KOA rather than the mountains since it is hunting season and we wanted to get one more little family adventure in before winter. The staff were awesome! So helpful & friendly. Whitney & Jim especially. Great job guys! We’ll be back!

We asked for a back-in site to accommodate our 38' 5th wheel without unhitching ... and the new receptionist said we would need a pull-through. After setting up, we noticed a couple of back-ins on the east end that would have worked. Also, we usually avoid RV parks that charge a pet fee ... bit of a rip-off in my opinion

Thank you for rating your stay. Guests are always welcome to upgrade or change their site to one that meets their expectations through the office upon their arrival. The campground provides doggie bag stations and a paw pen area where guests can let their dog(s) off their leash to exercise and play.

fThe place looked fairly good but it needs work .. our space was muddy by our front door, and you have a serious infestation of little flying black bugs.. They covered our hoses electric cable, and were all over our trailer, awning, and several came into the trailer. you need to do something about them soon.. if I were to reccomend your place I would have to also mention the bugs.

Sorry that we did not meet your expectations. The stink bugs are a seasonal autumn occurrence. They are a state wide nuisance. As temperatures drop they congregate seeking food and shelter before going into their diapause life cycle. We work hard to keep their short visit tolerable.

The welcome staff were very kind and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, the price was high for the accommodations, since we don't use any hook-ups.

We had an amazing experience. We got high centered on a curb taking the corner tight. Your staff and host were amazing at taking care of us. They spent over an hour jacking us up and getting us off the curb safely and without damaging our trailer and without anyone getting hurt. We felt pretty stupid about the issue and they were so kind and understanding. This is our 2nd time staying here!

There is a lot of noise from the highway but the campground was very nice. Clean and well played out. Our site had a dog run for our pup.

We stayed in L46 and patio is facing the river. Very nice night bbq and fire pit experience. Close by train tracks and freeway is the downside though. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Kids loved the bunk beds.

The cabins are very cozy, close to the Portneuf river across from the cabins. It runs by some great RV parking spots looking at that river. I gave them 2 stars for service because no one is around Monday to Thursday, along with limited working hours Friday- Sunday. If you want something, you have to get in your vehicle and drive about a mile away to their other office in a different area of town. I find that ridiculous or even worse, asinine, not sure what the owner was thinking of that concept. Everything else was great. Some people might have other opinions about driving away to check out, they should have a drop box located around the office area to drop off the keys where we were staying at, instead of us driving to the other location drop it off, I found that to be very inconvenience for us.
