We only stay here when we visit Lava, and we have been coming for years! We love all the cabins we have stayed in, as well as the campground. Such a charming place!

We stay in lava Hot springs one to two times per year. We either rent a hotel or stay in Pocatello. Staying at this KOA deluxe cabin was the best time we have ever stayed in lava Hot springs! Excellent service excellent cabin. Clean and tidy.

We’ve stayed here several times and love it! However, last weekend we booked one night in one of the small cabins. My wife and I happened to be in separate vehicles, and even though we were literally the only ones in the whole campground, they made us purchase a 2nd vehicle pass. We’ll keep going back because we love it, but it seemed like a bit of a money grab.

We loved staying here! We came for the weekend to celebrate Veterans Day weekend and my husbands birthday. It was the perfect getaway for our family of 4. The view was perfect, and the setup was great. The staff was very friendly too. I would highly recommend!

Host was delightful, helpful and kind. Providing supplies as we were not prepared for camping on this journey, was our first time staying at a KOA. A bit noisy as hi-way is close by otherwise peaceful and beautiful. Very walkable and pleasant to town. Everyone was friendly and relaxed.

Stayed 1 night in a cabin overlooking the falls! It was a cute cabin with many amenities that we did not use but grateful that they were there. We enjoyed watching people go down thw falls and the fire table on our deck. We will definitely be back with our kids to stay here

Facilities were well maintained and staff was so nice. It was Labor Day weekend, so the campground was pretty crowded. The only downside is that it may be too popular, if you like more solitude. We had 2 kids with us, and we all had a great time. Some of the spots are close to a highway, if you are sensitive to car noise.

Comfortable stay; noisy street after 10 pm but the trains did NOT awaken us. Too out of the way to recommend to others—maybe the KOA in town would eliminate the noise issue. The on site staff were quick to take care of trash problem and we appreciated that!!

We paid $290 for one night. At home we pay $300 for 3 months of Dish. At LHS East KOA we got NO Dish No TV. The sheets & blanket were tucked SO TIGHT, my wife could not pull them out. I pulled a muscle in my calf trying to get out of the tucks! This cabin was rented to us as a Deluxe thus a higher price! KOA should put one fitted sheet on each bed & a nice Austrian style comforter instead! NO TUCK

We loved our stay! We arrived a couple hours early to have lunch, but it was a busy weekend right before school was starting. I called EAST KOA to ask if we would be able to possibly park on their premise and walk to go have lunch. The lady was awesome and said our cabin was actually ready if we wanted to check in. Cabin was clean and beautiful area! THANK YOU!

This is our second time staying in the loft cabin we love staying at the East KOA. The staff is always friendly and so helpful. The view of the river is so pretty and the sound peaceful and relaxing. It is close enough to walk to all the attractions. We will be back.

We stayed in L46 and patio is facing the river. Very nice night bbq and fire pit experience. Close by train tracks and freeway is the downside though. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Kids loved the bunk beds.

The cabins are very cozy, close to the Portneuf river across from the cabins. It runs by some great RV parking spots looking at that river. I gave them 2 stars for service because no one is around Monday to Thursday, along with limited working hours Friday- Sunday. If you want something, you have to get in your vehicle and drive about a mile away to their other office in a different area of town. I find that ridiculous or even worse, asinine, not sure what the owner was thinking of that concept. Everything else was great. Some people might have other opinions about driving away to check out, they should have a drop box located around the office area to drop off the keys where we were staying at, instead of us driving to the other location drop it off, I found that to be very inconvenience for us.
