Site 50 was ridiculously small, and a mud hole, it was a mess. The table was behind the trailer on the rocks and the cost was $78! The location to town was great, about a 5 block walk to the state hot springs.

Nice campground, right by the river. Located in a small town, was able to walk to the sweet Shop and restaurants.

It was nice. Wish there was someone to inforce common scense rules with other campers. Such as kids constantly zooming around camp on motorized bike. Loud. Annoying

Accommodations clean and comfortable. Staff very nice and helpful. Had a wonderful time. Really liked the place that dogs could go off leash for a little bit.

Loved the location across the street from the Lava Hotel, we purchased passes to use the mineral baths. Easy walk to town restaurants and shops.

The KOA is clean and a convenient location. But there is nothing special about it. This was our second year staying there. When I went to book for June of 2024 the cost per night went from $75 to $137 for the most basic small site. For that reason we will be booking at another campground that will cost us significantly less.

We have stayed here before so we were somewhat familiar with the layout, but it seams more cramped in. We had another group with us but we weren't able to be close together. Our site had a big mud hole with standing water that was not pleasant and attracted the little kids to get muddy in. When we asked them to fill it with gravel or more dirt they said they wouldn't be able to without a tractor.

We had a wonderful stay. We like all the improvements that have been made at the campground. We just felt that the spots were a little close together. Our neighbor's awning was nearly touching our motorhome. But all in all, it was a great visit and a wonderful weekend.

I had an unfortunate event at the KOA. A tree fell and hit my trailer breaking my awning and almost taking out the trailer next to me. It was a very frightening experience. Both me and my neighbor packed up at 10pm on a holiday weekend and I headed 3 hrs home.

The camp ground is nice and clean, but I do think it it over priced and the camp sites are very close together if you want any space at all you have to rent a double spot and that raises the price.

Great KOA, easy access to Olympic pool, and only a few blocks to the main hot springs. Only problem is the train…but there is no way to avoid the freight trains in Lava Hot Springs. Would definitely stay at this KOA again.

The camp itself was great, but we felt mislead in the camp amenity pictures. We thought the pool and hot springs were included with the camp. Camp was very overpriced

The site itself was awesome. But no mention was made that we would be camping in a construction zone. We woke up to concrete pump trucks and were unable to leave until they had finished cleaning out their trucks. There was no word from the manager that this would e the case even though he was on site.

I have a 38 foot fith wheel and full size 4 door pickup and they put me in a spot with construction didn't have any room got the workers to move trucks still didn't have room with stakes in the way finally got it moved so tight scratched the side of my brand new camper stuck between 2 trees with 3 slides and open spaces that would have made life alot easier not sure how they pick spots disappointe

Beautiful place we’ve stayed at both of the east and the west KOA’s and really enjoyed them. Very clean and the staff was very helpful. Thank you very much.

The campground is really nice with grass, trees and the Portneuf River flowing through. There are hot springs and pools within walking distance and plenty of other things to do within walking and biking distance. The KOA is quiet and scenic with friendly staff and nice facilities. We would stay here again.

Extremely disappointed with this campground. There is a $6.00 per night charge per pet. The sites are way too close together. The playground is bare and the jump mat was deflated. This is by no means a normal KOA holiday. Also, there are trains running very loud all night long.

Stay was good - site we were at was not the best but there were many other sites that would have been a lot better. We will be more selective the next opportunity we have to stay with KOA.

Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating! Lovely sites and some of the cleanest showers/restrooms we've used. I would recommend this campground to everyone and look forward to be able to return to it!

Very friendly staff when we checked in and explained everything well. Finalized billing and took payment. Offered services available, firewood, etc. Staff was friendly around the grounds during our stay as well. We stay at least twice annually and love it.

We thought the site we chose was too small even though it was for a 25 ft. trailer. We went to the office and was able to upgrade to a pull through site. This was early spring so they had available places. The clerk was very nice and helpful.

Traveling and enjoying the beautiful country. Stopped for 2 days. This was absolutely the BEST KOA ever!!!! Because of Dave and Jenny, campground hosts,were courteous and pleasant. They have done an excellent job!!!! Kudos!! The ebike experience was fun!!

We enjoyed the location and our cabin was clean and comfortable! Though I would say it’s only for sleeping 3 unless you bring a 4th bed. The futon is only suitable for 1 person.

Comfortable and well located. Visit was excellent and xampground is very well done. Little expensive especially with extra charges for extra family members or vehicles. Feels a bit like being nickel and dimed for everything. Enjoyed it a bunch though.

Great place to stay if you are visiting the hot springs. Pools and Waterpark just across the street. Easy walking to any if the great shops in town. Back-in sites alo g the river are great. Owners take pride in the campsites and property. Clean showers and laundry. Beautiful cabins!

They have new RV pads just off the river, clean bathrooms and sits in the middle of town.

Very cool location next to the rumbling River. Has a barbecue on the back porch and a natural gas fire pit as well. The rooms were clean. If you visit lava Springs you must check out the Mercantile store on Main Street they have really cool handmade items. Found a good little coffee shop and pretty much everything is walking distance. The pools were busy however we visited on New Year's Eve and there were fewer people at the pools in the a.m. will definitely do it again.
