This year was our third time visiting and we enjoyed it again as usual. Perfectly clean and convenient to all the activities in town, we will of course be back!

We stayed in a tent in spot 30. It was beautiful! Really long walk to the bathroom but the spot was so nice.

Firstly...the furniture was unsafe. Youngest grandson sat in metal chair and it folded on him putting him on the concrete patio. You could plainly see when inspecting it that it'd been broken for some by the rust at what was the leg joints. luckily, he was not seriously hurt. Same with the metal, round table...not useable. And...pricey. We've been there 3 times and have never paid so much.

We love this KOA. Sites 14-16 are really small and way to close together for trailers. The super nice maintenance guy Kip helped us cover the death trap fire pit. They should at the very least have grates. We had friends next door but if it had been someone else we would barely be able to walk in between. I get that money is the goal but those sites are way to skinny, and poorly planned.

We loved our spot backed up against the rock wall, facilities were clean, location was PERFECT, neighbors were friendly and a blast, the hot pot was such a neat treat, and we absolutely loved our stay. We will be returning!

This campground is always so clean and so fun. We stay here every July with our whole family. We would never think of staying anywhere else in Lava. The location is unbelievable. Walking to the pool and to town is so easy. Staff has always been amazing to work with our large family and multiple sites and cabins. Just all around great place to stay!!

We stay here every year and we love it! The location is perfect. The koa is nicely taken care of and the camp hosts and office are very helpful.

This campground has definitely changed over the last few years. There is less to do without the food truck or jumping bag. The staff doesn’t seem to know much about things going on it town either. At one point in time I went into the office to an employee and his girlfriend making out. We used to love this KOA but are looking else where for our next stay. Definitely could use some repairs on roa

The staff was very friendly. They were helpful. The park was clean and well taken care of. The site was beautiful. We want to return in the future.

Campground was clean and close to many activities. The only problem I had was when they allow 5 cars and 15 people in one spot and only one car has a pass displayed. I pay a lot of money to stay there and do not appreciate that it becomes a parking lot with overcrowded camping spots.

Much better than we anticipated. We thought a KOA would be campsites packed-in like sardines. This campground is beautiful, alongside the Portneuf River and walls of lava rock, and we had good room for us around our site. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and maintains the campground very well. Also, our dogs loved the K9 Dog Park. We hope to be back soon!

We had a great time at the KOA. It is the perfect location for being able to walk around the town. The bathrooms are very well kept. The campsite was ready and clean when we got there. We just wish the tent campsites were a tiny bit bigger.

I rented three cabins and an RV site. Very clean and beds were comfortable. I brought a mattress toper because I thought the beds in the cabin might be too hard. I quickly took it off. The beds in the cabin were very comfortable. There is a train close by that you hear during the night, but with the AC on- I did not hear it at all. I love this campground and always stay here.

Everything was great , once the young man Jack at the desk let us check into the site, I had reserved and paid for. We got there at 12:45 and he sent us away for an hour and a half” until they could clean it “ which was being done as we pulled away . After that our stay was pleasant. They keep it very tidy everywhere.

Loved being by the river but the train noise all night long was a killer. Office staff very nice and helpful. Loved the little town, grocery store and gift shops. Train horns all night long were the one deterrent.

This is the first time in Lava and we absolutely loved it! The two office workers were so pleasant and helpful when we checked in. We enjoyed being so close to the pools. The campsites are so well taken care of and it was just such a peaceful and enjoyable few days for us. We are definitely planning on reserving several sites next year so all of our family can join us! Thank you! Thank you!

It was good however our original spot was given away when we checked in. We had to stay one night in a different spot and then was asked to move the next day. It was inconvenient to have to move everything when it was not our mistake. The office people were very friendly overall.

We booked our stay over a year in advance, and when we came to check in apparently terms had changed and the things that were included the time before were not. They would not honor the original booking terms/costs and I felt that was unfair, especially considering our group had over 70% of the spots! We love coming for our annual trip with all of our friends and this makes it very unaffordable.

Was quiet and pleasant. The lot we were in had sewer hookups that were low to the ground and at an angle so we had to do a little digging to clear it enough to use it. Otherwise, was excellent.

Nice clean RV Park. Pet friendly. Great sites. I did get charged extra for my towed vehicle after we arrived, even though it states in the agreement that base fees cover 1 rv, 1 tent, 4 people and 1 vehicle...

Great place to stay if you are visiting the hot springs. Pools and Waterpark just across the street. Easy walking to any if the great shops in town. Back-in sites alo g the river are great. Owners take pride in the campsites and property. Clean showers and laundry. Beautiful cabins!

They have new RV pads just off the river, clean bathrooms and sits in the middle of town.

Very cool location next to the rumbling River. Has a barbecue on the back porch and a natural gas fire pit as well. The rooms were clean. If you visit lava Springs you must check out the Mercantile store on Main Street they have really cool handmade items. Found a good little coffee shop and pretty much everything is walking distance. The pools were busy however we visited on New Year's Eve and there were fewer people at the pools in the a.m. will definitely do it again.
