Pull through for larger units quite good. Service was very good. Washrooms clean. Within walking distance of state mineral pools. We would stay again.

Overall very good with a great location where you can walk right into town and access restaurants, shops, grocery store and even an auto repair shop. Only reason for 4 stars is the tight space with our slide barely clearing the pedestal.

I would have rated a 5 but the WIFI was down the whole time there. This is a beautiful campground and a great staff. The showers and restrooms are some of the best around. Even with the WIFI issue I will stay again.

Clean and organized Koa. Staff is friendly and helpful! Little store has everything you need and the grocery store next door makes it a great location. Enjoyed spot #70 with the patio and firebowl. The bathrooms were clean. We paid for premium WiFi, but it never seemed to work for us so that was a bummer, but not a biggie! The trains all night long makes for a very noisy night and the rooftop eek!

It was a very nice spot by the river only problem was the train went by about 3:00am blowing its horn not only then but again about 6:00am.

Lovely campground with shade trees, streams and rivers. Bathroom shower was a little awkward with no real space to put your change of clothes and keep it dry, and the constant train horns from the nearby crossing made solid sleep difficult. Walking distance to all town stores and most importantly the hot springs are just a short stroll away.

I know you can't control the weather. But the spots were really muddy. More gravel or possibly more cement for where we park the RV’s. That would really help. The staff was amazing. Very nice and accommodating. We will probably stay here again or use the KOA East.

Nice location. Right next door to the Lava Hot Springs swimming pool facility. Everything in Lava is within walking distance of Lava West KOA. Many of the camp sites are very nice, but a few, including ours, has neither grass or gravel, but instead was just dirt. Water and sewer hookups are very basic. Electrical was up to date. For the price, the site should have been nicer.

We were just stopping through on our long drive from Alaska to Louisiana, but wish we had known how cute this little town was! Hot springs, tubbing down the river all within walking distance! And one of the cutest dry cabins we have stayed at. If I ever end up in Lava Hot Springs again I’ll plan more than one night!

Clean, cozy, quiet little cabin . Comfortable bed - had a gas fire place and TV! Short walk to hotsprings . Definitely would stay again .

People were quite friendly and the facility was clean. My only complaint is the cost. 142 for a 13-foot RV seems excessive.

Too many dogs off leash. Did poop not cleaned up. Water hookup is 8" from the sewer! Dirt pads are way overpriced and not maintained well.

The hosts are very friendly and the koa is clean. It’s located in a convenient location for shops and attractions in the area.

Following the Labor Day weekend, we found the CG/town much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Our state was fine. The area as well kept and maintained well. When we arrived, we were given a spot that was not the one we had reserved and when we inquired about the one we reserved we were told somebody else was using it, so it was not available, and then it was not used the whole entire visit.

The first night of our stay we were talking amongst ourselves with a bluetooth speaker playing background music. Around 9:35 p.m. a KOA employee approached us and warned us that there was no music allowed after 10 p.m. The way we she addressed the issue sounded like a threat. She should have given us a friendly reminder of the campground policy. This was handled very inappropriately.

Our camping cabin was perfect for our little family! It was clean, comfortable, and in walking distance of the restaurants, hot springs, and store. The bathroom was close by and also very clean and well kept. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly! We will definitely be back again! Thank you!

Great sites and friendly hosts. Lots of shade. Small dog park was very well maintained. Didn’t sleep well because of frequent loud trains so close to site.

Lots of improvements to facility. Curbing at site is problematic when dumping tanks. Train noise is really bad...all night long. Not much the park can do about it. Laundry is excellent as well as the staff.

The cabin was clean & so cute. The bed was very comfortable. Loved sitting on the porch. The rocking chairs were comfortable.

Absolutely love this quiet Oasis in Lava Hot Sorings. Quiet campground within walking distance of the whole town. The staff are super friendly, our site was level and long enough for our toy hauler and truck

It’s ok. The tent spot we paid for the power tower was blown and unusable. So we couldn’t charge our power box or phones (needed only because we had minor friends of my children and they needed contact with their parents). The activities listed on website were different than in real life, with fun jumping pillow changed to swing set. I think we will try another campground next time for variety

Front office very accommodating and allowed moving to a more desirable site. Park maintenance personnel were extremely considerate and personably friendly. Wonderful surroundings along the river.

Our first time in a KOA cabin, the DK08 cabin at Lava Hot Springs West KOA was the nicest cabin ever. We didn't know we would need a fitted sheet & it's not something most campers bring along with them anyway. If you just add a fitted sheet on the bed it would be perfect. We always bring our pillows & blankets. From the coffee to the rocking chairs, it was a great stay.

The campsites are beautiful with full hookups but the staff is unfriendly and they charge for every last thing after paying a high price for the spot. We stayed in a larger spot Thursday-Sunday and paid almost $500. We still had to pay for our kids, additional vehicle, dogs, and tent. Why does my spot only include 2 people, I should be able to put as many kids in my trailer as will fit.

The facility was very clean and the sites were nice. The hot springs and river tubing were very close and looked like fun. We just didn’t care for the trains going by at night. We were woke up 3 times at night while trying to sleep.

Great place to stay if you are visiting the hot springs. Pools and Waterpark just across the street. Easy walking to any if the great shops in town. Back-in sites alo g the river are great. Owners take pride in the campsites and property. Clean showers and laundry. Beautiful cabins!

They have new RV pads just off the river, clean bathrooms and sits in the middle of town.

Very cool location next to the rumbling River. Has a barbecue on the back porch and a natural gas fire pit as well. The rooms were clean. If you visit lava Springs you must check out the Mercantile store on Main Street they have really cool handmade items. Found a good little coffee shop and pretty much everything is walking distance. The pools were busy however we visited on New Year's Eve and there were fewer people at the pools in the a.m. will definitely do it again.
