The campground has a good layout and the accommodations (store, pool, etc.) are good, but the location on Rt 178 is not great. There is no convenient access to the lake or river. Additionally, the camp ground dump station is out of order, which made check out from a non-dump spot difficult, They up charged me for the entire stay to use a station at a full service site.

Stay was just ok, only one unisex bathroom, and large group loud parting all night long. No enforcement of quiet hours. Not the KOA’s fault but the wind never stops blowing dust

Great experience and service and location! Only “complaint” is that I called many times and wasn’t able to reach anyone and didn’t receive a call back for a few hours but overall I would stay with them again in a heartbeat

Overall the experience is fun and enjoyable. I have nothing bad to say. Nice campsites. Nice staff. The campground looks a bit worn down in some places but the amenities are nice to have. I’ve stayed here twice and will be back.

I take my family to camp walden-Lake Isabella/ Kern River KOA 2 times per year & we make great memories. The fun-tivities: Ice Cream and pancake breakfast were the cherry on top. The staff are all so kind to my family and I. Stephanie and another young lady were amazing with my children and dog. Can't wait to go back! :)

Situated in the Kern valley makes a peaceful place to stay with the mountains as a backdrop. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the sites are well shaded. We found it very relaxing.

Free pancakes were awesome and the view was killer. Bathrooms were being remodeled so using only women's bathroom, which is fine ,but at least keep the hand drying towels and soap filled.

Our spots were plenty wide for our trailer and tow vehicle. Convenient location to Kern River and surrounding towns. Plenty of trash cans available, however general litter was present. Examples are chicken and other bones that my dog gravitated to, cigarette buds, general plastic bottle tops and beer caps. Saloon was good and staff very friendly.

Great spot between the cottages for a smaller RV. Friendly staff and the laundry facilities worked well. The campground is a bit far from the lake.

The advertised Ice cream social was not available and the Sunday morning pancake breakfast that was not available either. Not a big thing yet if it is offered, it should be available. The staff did find some ice cream but it was not what is used to be.

The campground is rough around the edges. The staff were amazing and very helpful. There is some work being done to update the facilities but the whole site needs a lot of work to update.

We were told that they had one restroom that was unisex been over six months. The restroom location was on the other side of the site from the regular cabin we were staying in. My wife said that she had a bladder condition and the man that checked us in said to her that she had a problem and laughed about it. The restrooms were always in use by someone. We drove to the lake to use the restrooms.

The back-in sites are small, but they are level and well-maintained. The camp is off the lake, so you don't get the constant wind. It backs up to a wash where there is animal life, mostly birds, to entertain you. They have just refurbished the womens room and will soon be done with the mens room, so that is nice. The pool looked inviting, but we did not go in.

Cute cabins/staff was very friendly. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Terrible bathroom situation. One restroom. Host was encouraging people to lock the main door behind them, meaning one person at a time. Lines would form esp. when folks took showers. I really had to go many times and couldn't. Plus was late in the morning when I couldn't get in to shower. Please don't lock the main door!

The water wasn't drinkable or potable. Thank goodness we had enough water in our water tank. The gate to the dog area was very difficult to latch so the gate was easy for the dogs to push out of it.

We had a good stay no problems, a bit pricey we thought but with diesel at 6+ per gallon everything is going through the roof. Let’s go Brandon.

The staff and managers were wonderful! The grounds were always clean and well kept, but, being in the desert/mountain area, there was no grass. The hookups all seemed to work fine, the water pressure could have been a little better, except for the WiFi. The WiFi a constant struggle and such a hassle! I've had to deal with Tengo systems before, and they're always a pain, but this one was terrible

We absolutely love it at KOA Lake Isabella. It is so quiet, and there is plenty of room to play at the playground for the kids. Thank you for having us again! We cannot wait to go again soon.

Very friendly staff and the campground and facilities were very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were being remodeled but it was a small inconvenience.

The cabin was great. Easier than pitching a tent, especially in the wind. Glad to have coffee available. Did not like the bathroom situation. But better than no facility.

Strange this campspot can be KOA seen it's poor quality. During our travel in the usa by far the worst camp spot we used... seems to be renewed but badly done and only 1 shower available. We really thought booking a KOA is always guarantee on a certain level of quality, but that seems not the case

Fiz uma reserva com meses de antecedência e no dia do checkin recebi a informação que os banheiros estavam interditados em razão de reforma. A localização dos pontos de esgoto no fundo da vaga obriga a utilização de extensão da mangueira. Cheguei às 23pm e sai às 6am bastante decepcionado.

We thought from the brochure and pictures it was on or near the river, it wasn’t. The water was NOT potable in the whole park. We used the laundry and the dryers took $2.00 of quarters, which did not even begin to dry the clothes. After $4.00 we had to hang the jeans out to dry. If we would have gone just another mile or two down the road we would have had better alternatives.

Staff wonderful and if not for them I'd give "1" rating. Park itself is nice--EXCEPT for restrooms under construction. Nightmare. Men and women jostle for entry, toilets leak onto floor, showers are closed. We reserved 8 person deluxe/ full bath. Cabin switched to 4 person cabin--complained got a 6 person with half bath and no sink in bathroom. I had to sleep in another cabin. very disorganized.

Stayed here for one night. I was not expecting sites to be as close together as they were. My main issue was our neighbors. Quiet hours start at 10pm and they were still chatting/cursing loudly by 10:30pm. There were signs that the quiet hours were "strictly enforced" but no one was there to enforce them. We ended up moving to a different site so not sure when they stopped. It was just bad luck.

The campground was clean, and all of the employees and owners were kind and helpful. The pull through spot we booked was spacious. All of the spots and roads are dirt, so it was a little dusty, but not too bad. The restrooms were being renovated, so that put a slight damper on the stay, but overall we enjoyed it.

Site cannot provide city water as it exceeds nitrate limits. Clearly not coming from an EPA certified treated source. Dog park has an adjacent bulldog that threatens all dogs.

We enjoyed the cabins and the area. The staff was fantastic and friendly. We brought our sxs and other off-road toys on trailers. The host was very accommodating giving us a place to park our trailers on premises, very convenient!

One cannot drink the water… it’s unsafe….the womens bathroom was closed, forcing the mens bathroom into a “unisex” status…but they still tore that one up for repairs…. Only one soap container had any soap in it…the pool water was freezing. Dirty and dusty.. dog park had no doggie pads…. Does not back up to the river preserve, no way to get there…. Really run down and no acces

Very clean, little campground . The proprietors are very friendly and caring. Restrooms are clean and all in working order. The children enjoy the playground. The pool, winter time is clean . The store is well stocked. We had a glass of wine in the bar. With interesting and fun talk , I wish I got her name, the sweet lady that takes care of the campground. We stay there during Whiskey Flat days. It's in a perfect location.
