I was extremely quiet and relaxing; convenient to downtown Montgomery. I highly recommend a short stay at Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA.

There needs to be more shade over the play areas/pool, and along road to enjoy a walk. Hard to enjoy outdoors and that was why we wanted to be there. This location didn’t live up to my expectations as other KOA’s I’ve stayed before. First time in a cabin and I’d give it 4/5 stars for the cabin. Great AC. Very nice place. Yes, i t was extremely hot. wWe enjoyed the Ducks and babies. Also the big Turtles. Host were very pleasant and helpful. We were in town for a funeral. Conroe is a nice town. Everyone was helpful.

Cabin 10 was very nice, although we had to call someone to show us how to get good channels on the TV and show us how to lock the door from the outside. They should have told us these things when we checked in. Otherwise we had a great time!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was so disappointed in the lack of repair needed throughout the park. The grounds was a hit and a miss with upkeep. (Mostly missed) We have stayed here several years before, so sad how it looks now in comparison. Even buildings closed and the parking lot looked like it is used to park tractor trailers. Sadly, no plans to return.

The only part of the cabin that stayed cool was the main living area. The bedroom and bathroom were almost unbearable. The pool by Sunday looked like it had not been cleaned in a week.

The cabins on the lake are acceptable and updated. The bed are very comfortable. I would Not recommending staying in the cabins up the hill. They are desperately in need of repairs, updating, and deep cleaning. The flooring has old roll-out vinyl covering, old appliances, and bug stains in the refrigerator. The staff is polite and helpful. The camp does offer a variety of things to do.

It was a great experience will love to visit it again, I did NOT like that they did not switch out our towels but other then that we had a great 3 night stay there.

My stay at KOA camp grounds was fantastic!!!It was my first time there and everything was good.The employees were so nice and friendly!! They always greeted you with a big smile � They were so so helpful oh my so polite.My Father forgot one of his prescription they called me and said it would be there when my brother comes to get it.l think that was so wonderful!! I would recommend it.

Good stay....a bit messy with occasional trash. Came in on July 4thnas per their text the night before that there would be treats at 9:00 am in the office for the 4th but both ladies at the desk initially ignored me & then didn't know anything about it. One of the men though thought about it & remembered. Enjoyed the various activity texts. Dog walk door needs to be repaired as it can't be latched

We had a great site with back end to lake. Our granddaughters enjoyed the swimming pool and the ducks (2 sets of ducklings). The 4th of July festivities had just begun with train rides and face painting. There was also movie night with popcorn. I would definitely visit here again

The staff at this location is amazing! We had some car trouble after arriving and Kenny was a huge help with a recommendation to have our car looked at. Every employee we encountered was friendly. I especially enjoyed speaking with the store staff.

The female staff members were very rude and not very helpful. They had things they would do everyday for the kiddos but we never got a list of times when things were taking place.. the pool was not great. The grass was taller than my 2 year old. There was a very nice man that helped out alot. I unfortunately did not get his name but he was the best thing about this koa. 10/10 don’t recommend

The staff was absolutely incredible. I would suggest planting more trees for the summer was way too hot. The only thing negative was the pool was not claimed the entire time we were there. The day we arrived it was clean by the time we left it was disgusting. You could tell it had not been cleaned or shocked.

The lack of shade is the only reason I am rating the location so low. With the heat, it is just too hard for the a/c to keep up.

Staff is always so friendly..... but the pool needs help. It was like swimming in filth, discolored water. Night and day from the last management. The pool was sparkling clean. On our last day we went for one last dip and t h e pool deck was littered with soda cans and water bottles at 9:30 in the morning not too clean.

Had an issue with 30 amp breaker tripping. Talked to office had a couple guys come look and loaned us a 50 to 30amp pigtail to get us going and had a great stay.

We arrived at our pull thru site and set up our RV in a patch of stickers and weeds! We complained about the condition and were able to move to a back-in site . that looked presentable but was not what we had wanted. we were not offered any compensation for all our troubles of setting up, taking it down and then finding a decent spot and resetting up again It is not by the lake,

Nice & spacious pull thru site. Only drawback is the entrance/exit off of Hwy 105. Steep & we dragged the back bumper of our 33ft Motor Home. Tried leaving at an angle but we still dragged the bumper. We were also towing a Jeep.

KOA was nice & big. However, we were placed in "no man's land" with a lot of vacant sites between us & the office and amenities. Our location in the campground was too distant to make any of the amenities convenient to use. Other than when we checked in, we saw no staff around the area we were camped in.

Cabins are HOT! who's idea was it to remove the central a/c units and replace them with window units was insane, reason being the people in the bedroom of the (1) bedroom units may want privacy, no air circulation in the bedroom. sofa bed(mattress) are trash, no extra pillows or blankets for sofa bed, saw roaches, no ice trays, no rods to open blinds. wash your dishes " GERMS" people SANITIZE.

Peaceful, clean and quiet. The only drawback was 20 amp breakers in a 30 amp plug. It tripped constantly when we tried to run the microwave with air conditioner. Told maintenance, they did not fix it.

Stayed at the Lake Conroe KOA for about 5 months in my fifth wheel RV while working in Houston. Great location with plenty of restaurants/shopping just a short walk or drive away. Very spacious sites through the park compared to other KOA's. All sites are paved and mostly level, definitely big rig friendly. Staff was great! Very responsive to inquiries and requests for maintenance (had an electrical pedestal issue early during my stay that was quickly resolved). As the weather started warming up, the maintenance team got busy with lots of little things around the park… repainting site numbers, fixing water leaks, etc… Only downside is that they don't really have a “Store” like other large KOA's. They have a few items but with the large office they have, there could be so much more. I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

I recently stayed at this campground and overall had a pleasant experience. The place is very well-maintained with great amenities, and the sites are spacious and well spread out. The customer service and employees were excellent, providing a welcoming atmosphere. However, the only downfall for us was the presence of unsupervised children. While there are multiple families living there full-time, their children roam freely around the campground. Our lakefront site seemed to be a popular hangout spot for them, leading to some inconvenience as they left their bikes, scooters, and toys near our RV. I even had to politely ask a child to refrain from climbing the ladder on my RV. If you're considering booking a lakefront site, I recommend requesting one on the south side of the park to avoid the children's high traffic area, particularly site 192, which seems to be a pathway for them to the lake. 25 feet to the right of this site there are no rv spots or cabins and community lake access. Unfortunately the children prefer cutting through occupied sites and hanging out in the driveways of the sites. Overall, it's a lovely campground with some minor considerations regarding children's supervision.
