The campground is an open lot with RVs everywhere. We rented one of the tiny houses. There was a picnic table to sit at and that was the highlight. Nothing exciting about this place. Just somewhere to spend the night.

Grandkids loved the cabin and the whole experience. Everyone was very nice and helpful since this was our first KOA stay. We are planning a couple more stays this summer!

I stayed in one of the rustic cabins and it was perfect for what I needed. I just needed a place to stay and a fridge was nice to keep road food cool. The shower and toilets were close by. I love the local themes incorporated into the stay. The old caboose used for lodging was a really cool idea. I will try to stay in that next time through.

Such an incredibly amazing place to stay in a renovated train car! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The campgrounds are very clean, well maintained with extra amenities. It is peaceful and quiet. Loved being able to sit outside on a secluded patio with both grill and firepit to enjoy a meal and the cool evening air. The renovated caboose is such a delight w attention to historic detail

The cabin was clean and the one I had was the closest to the bathroom/shower room. The bed was too firm for me and I was aches and pain in my shoulders and back. During the night I was woken up several times from some load noises. Additional Info= The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The cabin could accommodate 1 adult (only a full size bed) with 2 kids (bunk beds). .

Had a wonderful visit! Very friendly staff. I appreciated having laundry facilities available and the bathroom/shower spaces were always really clean.

We stayed in the Cool Caboose for the first time-so very neat and way cooler than a regular motel room! Appointed very nicely, we had everything we needed for the 4 of us. Will definitely stay there again!

We have stayed at this KOA several times and it never disappoints. The staff at LaKunta KOA were awesome! We love the train memorabilia. The campground was clean and easily accessible. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the "cool caboose" Santa Fe. It was so nicely renovated and snug as a bug in the 20 degrees temps we were experiencing. Brad the owner was personable and shared some history behind the project. We loved our short time there!

Cabin was cold. Steps were snow covered icy and slippery. Water froze up even though heater was on and cabinets under sink were open. Otherwise good.

The campground is right next to highway 50 and very close to a Walmart. Lots of hotrod noise and sirens. The cabin is 1/2 of a duplex, so not a cabin. The bathroom is right next to the kitchen and shares a sink. It was a simple room and clean. The woman in the office was very nice and friendly. Check in was easy. I'll stay in one of the tiny houses next time if available.

This campsite is amazing and very clean. So close to all amenities and food options. We stayed it one of the Cabins and it was our most comfortable sleep all across the USA so far. The caboose was booked but if we come back we will definitely stay in it as it’s very cool and interesting. Absolutely loved this place and the staff was fantastic.

Stayed in the Cool Caboose. Really enjoyed it. Quite a novelty. Can’t wait to see their passenger train cabin is completed. Only recommendation for the Cool Caboose would be better interior lighting otherwise it was fantastic.

My wife and I have never been to a KOA before. But I must say we where pleasantly surprised. It was all around a enjoyable experience. The only down side and this is on us more than anything but the bathrooms are separate from the cabins. It reminded me of a high-school gym locker room a very clean and well kept gym locker room. Overall the people were very nice and helpful and would return again

The cabin was comfortable and well equipped and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The grounds were really clean and well cared for and all the other guests were quiet and respectful. It was a great stay.

We thought we would be staying in a cabin. As it turned out, we were put in a converted camping trailer. The last day, we were without water and were not offered any compensation. Also, very noisy next to major highway and railroad. Lastly, the two fold out sofas could not be folded out at the same time because of space.

We stayed in the caboose! It was amazing. They did an awesome job on the caboose. It was like staying in a fancy hotel with all the amenities! This is a must stay! The campground was very nice and the employees were awesome. This is far nicer than any other KOA journey that we have stayed in. This is more like a holiday on its way to resort! I highly recommend!

We come to the La Junta KOA because of the Tarantula fest. This stay was our first time staying in a tiny home. We were excited. Unfortunately our Tiny Home wasn't level and there was excrement in our toilet from the previous customer. We advised the staff. We were disappointed about the toilet and were a little concerned about the cleanliness of the rest of the tiny home, hence the 3 out of 5.

Great lodging with great customer service! We were traveling through town late and pulled in hoping they would have something open. Not only was the service great, our cabin was too. 20/20 recommend!! I already shared with all my friends to make sure and stop in La Junta at KOA!!!!

What a wonderful place to stay! We were in the Orange Cabin, which was just perfect. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet. And we were warmly welcomed. We will definitely be back.

Our second time staying here. Has great camping cabins with a bathroom and kitchenette. Perfect for traveling in the winter when we don’t want to walk to bathroom in the middle of the night.

We stopped at KOA Journey on our motorcycle ride around Colorado. Brad was friendly and helpful at the check-in. He delivered some firewood while we were at dinner. We stayed in the Cool Caboose, which was, in fact, very cool! I'll stay here again.

nicest people i deal with them for my propane needs they are professional and compassionate i had limited money to fill my tank they went ahead filled the tank to the amount of money i had which worked out great
