The words of wisdom in the bathroom were remarkable with their signs and posters. the flowers train cars and the the fountain give it a personal touch that makes you feel at home. One of the best koas I stayed at.

We spent 3 nights in the La Junta KOA. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The facilities were unique and very nice. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

I am up Set with My bill I call in for a campsite I was Quoted a price from Jim around $44.00 for the night. But then I got there He add $5.00 more because I was a Walking in. He a at least 9 campsites not use that night. HE should of been Happy I came and giving me a $500 discount. I am Expecting a refund of $500 from them or KOA Headquarters. Nice sized sites, interesting train restorations going on. Would stay here again if passing thru. Employees were great and very helpful.

Just passing through but the owner/manager was super friendly and helpful with my late night checkin. The park is clean and well taken care of and the Wi-Fi was superb

Place has great potential, looks as if has lots of in/out traffic but it’s the only place to stay. Needs more grass and fewer weeds that have burrs, the spaces are narrow and close together. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put big rocks and boulders around sites 40-42 needs to consider a new line of work. While there (site 40) they decided to burn debris at the Pullman car and smoked us ou

This was our first KOA introduction, and we’re sold! What a great experience. My kids loved the playground, putt putt, and pool! I completely lost count of the number of times my kiddo went down the water slide. The bathrooms were clean, water was hot for a good shower. The staff in the office/store were informative and super friendly. Our pup loved the KAMP K9 area as well. Thank you!

Disappointed that the recreation center is still closed. Staff said it was due to Covid, which at this point seems ridiculous.

Overall good stay. The mattress is a little lop-sided and the shower drain needs cleaning (slow to drain). A lot of burs on the ground that got stuck in our dogs paws but not much can be done about that. Service was friendly and we would stay again.

My group of 5 had a great stay during the Tarantula Fest!! The hosts were all very friendly and helpful! Love the amenities and it's a very clean campground! We will be back!! Thanks

We stayed for 4nights all the staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed. The owner is a cool guy that has a passion for trains, the grounds are well kept. All and all would stay here again.

Brad made our stay! His energy and pride he showed on his KOA was outstanding! We absolutely loved the trains!!!!! It was so fascinating! The pool was excellent! We were greeted warmly! Definitely would recommend or stay here again! Can’t wait to see the train cars finished!

This KOA is very overpriced for the value. The entire campground and amenities have a worn or rundown appearance and the back portion of the campground looks like a dump.

The owner of this KOA takes pride in their property. The nicest Journey we've stayed at. It was so colorful with the flowers, decor, playground, etc. The gentleman who checked us in was so welcoming and friendly!! Wish more were like this one!!

It does seem that KOA camping has gotten quite expensive. Families struggle these days to have the extra funds for travel. Hope costs to camp don’t go any higher for awhile. Tough on pocket books.

Spent 4 nights in one of the tiny houses. The space was clean and fresh. Great supplies. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially appreciated Brad. Can’t wait to go back !!

Charge for kids, charge for golf, the course sucks, unkept, dirty. Can’t even get the ball in the hole because the cups are up to high. Misquotes are horrible and could be mitigated. Can’t even swim because the misquotes are so bad.

pool was still open, wonderful! very accommodating, pleasant!! spot was level and we didn't have to unhook, bonus for a 1 night stop on our way home. Thank you!

It’s a mud pit. The only good thing is the updated restroom in the main building except that you have to avoid the puddles to get there.

The only reason this location is getting a 4 star rating is their location. It’s right on the highway, has a train running by it and it’s next to a vet/boarding facility. (Think dogs barking) The park is clean, well kept and employees are awesome.

First time to stay at a KOA--- stayed in a Kamping Kabin....perfect for our purposes-- Staff was very helpful whenever we had questions or needed something. The park was well kept and quiet--the pool was great and clean--As always, maybe some more frequent cleaning of the shower/bath house (because of the volume and frequency over Labor Day)--overall great stay--Highly recommend.

Very helpful and accommodating for a late arrival. Great campsite in South Park. We have stayed before and will request site 44 again or sites 40 thru 44. Suggest more trash bins. Propane grill on the patio needs to be cleaned please. We burned off a lot of grease and scraped debris before using. Thanks!

We stayed one night at the KOA and rented the caboose for the night. It was a really fun experience. They have done a great job decorating the caboose. The bed was comfortable and the space worked out great for the 4 of us. We checked in right after they closed for the evening and it was so easy. We picked up our check in packet and got right into the caboose with no issues. The staff was friendly and they have a small store with a few essentials in case you need to purchase anything. There's a nice playground for the kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend our friends to check it out.
