We loved the cabin! It had everything we needed for our 1 night stay. It was also very clean and the bed was soo comfortable! We would definitely stay here again for a future trip!

My husband and I stayed in the same cabin last veterans day weekend. And are now making it a reoccurring hunting trip, the cabin is perfect for me and my husband. It doesn't even feel like you are next to the highway. Peaceful and cozy. Having a hot shower after being cold all day is just what we needed. And the staff was very friendly! We will definitely be back next year!

Very friendly owner! Cool railroad cars and other smaller bits of mid-twentieth century nostalgia. Clean restrooms. I'd love to stay here again!

This is a very unusual park. It utilizes old cabooses as cabins as well as different style cabins that gives a less regimented feel to the park. Sites are spacious and ours was long enough for our motor home and enclosed car hauler. There was also parking at the side for our car. Some sites had shade but most were sunny. The playground was large with lots to do and the pool had a slide.

Stayed in the Caboose and it was awesome! The entire park is very well kept and the staff was very helpful.

We came in after a long day on the road. The people could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Next time this way, we’ll certainly drop back in.

We had a great time staying at this KOA. The staff was helpful and friendly. The campground was well cared for. The bathrooms were very clean. Highly recommend this KOA!

We have camped there twice on our way to an event. The campground is well managed and the hosts are friendly and have a plethora of information about the wildlife, sightseeing, and shopping in the area. We were able to tour the unreserved train caboose that was recently added to the property. It has been fully renovated and is very cute. We may reserve it for an overnight visit next time.

We stayed in the Orange Cabin and our stay was great. Very clean and cozy. The cabin had everything we needed for a weekend stay and we will book again for our future trips to La Junta.

the stay was fine Burt I have a 45 ft motorhome and the site I was in was tite and I scraped the side of my motor home when treeing to leave need to have more room on the ends . Ronald M Merkel

When you pay a deposit 7 months in advance you expect your site when you check in at 1pm. Not to be told the someone is in your site until 2pm because they asked and paid that extra for the time.

We were allowed to park in the closed site and use the open sites electrical. This allowed us to sure the common space with our family in the other site. Thank you for allowing this, it made our stay so much better.

The staff was very helpful and the tiny house we stayed in was very clean and nice. Would stay again if ever in the area.

It is a very nice place to stay. Every time we stay, the owner is working on something else to improve the place for his guests. This is an older koa, but he has done a great job redoing water, electric and sewer on the older sites. You won't be sorry chosing LA Junta KOA for your stay.

I’ve stayed in two different cabins here. Both clean and lively. Staff is great and facilities are great. Only thing I can say negative is wifi to the blue cabin was terrible and only worked sporadically

Super nice owners and the little cabin was a perfect overnight spot out of town for my wife and I! Cheaper than a hotel with WAY more activities on site. We want to stay in the caboose next! Can’t wait to see the rest of the train projects once completed! It’s great for the whole family! Come stay at the KOA for a family fun filled time!

Perfect stay with affordable prices. We booked the Green Cabin last minute and were very well taken care of. My fiancé loved the little cabin and wishes we could've stayed more days.

I would give a 5 but the bed was far to crunchie and hot with that plastic cover. The people running this place are on top of everything and are amazing!!

We stayed one night at the KOA and rented the caboose for the night. It was a really fun experience. They have done a great job decorating the caboose. The bed was comfortable and the space worked out great for the 4 of us. We checked in right after they closed for the evening and it was so easy. We picked up our check in packet and got right into the caboose with no issues. The staff was friendly and they have a small store with a few essentials in case you need to purchase anything. There's a nice playground for the kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend our friends to check it out.
