I love the La Junta KOA. I like the fact that the pool is warm enough to swim in and enjoy. It would be good to see the recreation hall open and be available too. I will be back again

We stayed four days, and thoroughly enjoyed the site, the cabins, the pool, the friendly, and very helpful staff. We loved the balconies, and the variety of housing options. We toured several units, all our questions were graciously answered, and we felt everybody was patient and very accommodating. We will be back, maybe even to stay in the renovated caboose, hopefully, with snow on the ground!

It was really good. Only complaints I have is that the pool was very chlorinated to the point that it was burning our eyes and the putput golf course needs a lot of attention. Hole 7 was missing everything except the hole (no grass, boarders,etc). Other than that it was great and will probably go again.

We loved our cabin and this is the second time we have stayed in it. We are from Kentucky and traveled a long way to get to La Gunta, we called to see if we could cancel our reservation we made that same morning and move it to the following day so it wasn’t going to cause it to push hard and drive 600 miles in one day to get there. He would not try to help us with this and told us it was policy.

Have stayed 20-30 times. Improvements continue. Friendly people. A bottle of Ice cold water is given upon check-in. Is great on a hot day

Staff is always friendly, we have stayed there at least 3 times a year since 2015. The grandkids enjoy the pool. The property is always clean.

We stopped here on our way to western Colorado. The cabin was very clean. Everything was in working order, and the grounds were very well-kept. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Will stay again!

Our family spent one of the most memorable 4th of July weekends at the LaJunta, CO KOA. Both Brad and Wendee Patterson run an incredibly clean, organized, fun, and relaxing campground. We were lucky enough to stay in their newest addition, a caboose that was transformed into a living quarters, which had the feel of a tiny home. The attention to detail and decoration were obvious and appreciated!

This KOA was lovingly cared for! The mgr. was so very friendly/helpful. Although he was always out in the park working w/ his employees/volunteers, he ALWAYS answers the phone/was available to residents or people asking about the park. Amazing to watch manager/workers take care of every detail of the park. Loved the caboose & passenger car on the premises! The pool was great, clean, fun for kids

We stayed 3 nights over the holiday weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The owners are very friendly and the grounds are very well maintained. Pool was very nice and restroom and showers were spotless. There is definitely pride in ownership at this KOA. We would definitely stay here again.

Sites are really close together. There's a lot of noise from the adjacent street. Wifi did not work half the time. On the plus side, the bathrooms were clean and we did have nice shade.

Great place! As far as KOA goes this one was pretty cool. Unfortunately the rec room was locked up or possibly non existant, so my non swimming kid was bored and the street light through the sheer cabin window coverings made it hard to sleep.

Spaces were smaller in length than indicated… No place for check in vehicles. Small park but we’ll set-up. Nice park otherwise. Camp personnel were very responsive and helpful.

Truly enjoyed staying in the caboose. I really think a window that opens or an exhaust fan needs to be put in the bathroom. It got way too hot back there. Also the swing doors need to be lower for more privacy.

Site that was assigned was very much damaged. Picnic table, on the ground, literally destroyed. Site had a deep hole that was not marked with cones. Very dangerous situation. Called management and he was unaware of the picnic table. He said the hole was for a tree they were going to plant. There were multiple holes on other sites NOT MARKED.! He was kind and we were moved. Dogs not on leash

Office hours are short. asked the person at the desk about local restaurants. The didn’t seem to have any idea where to go or how far. There is BBQ place in front of KOA that is not affiliated with KOA in any way. We tried to go there seemed like we were bothering them, just looking at the outside menu. The other places we have stayed in Colorado are following suit KOA or not unhelpful zero effo

Mini golf course was torn up. Showers were mediocre at beat. Laundry was cheap, but only 3 of 4 washers worked.

This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. The staff is great and we had a very clean and level spot with a quality electrical hook up and good water pressure. Also, there are several very good eating spots within a few miles drive.

I liked the campground area, the amenities were nice, the little store/check in area were nice, and the staff were very friendly and responsive. I thought the cabin was a bit cramped and the bed was so hard that it was like sleeping on a floor, didn't like the plastic cover over the entire mattress either.

When we arrived, we were upgraded due to the Kabin we reserved was in a construction zone, and were provided with 2 "free" bottles of water. Come to find out, there was renovation and construction being done on a train caboose right next to us. Workers there from early a.m. throughout the day. Days later, after checking bank account, we were charged for those "free" bottles of water. How rude!

La Junta KOA has clean bathrooms and showers. The site was pretty level and had a tree for some shade from the hot sun. Have stayed here before and will again when in the area.

We stayed one night at the KOA and rented the caboose for the night. It was a really fun experience. They have done a great job decorating the caboose. The bed was comfortable and the space worked out great for the 4 of us. We checked in right after they closed for the evening and it was so easy. We picked up our check in packet and got right into the caboose with no issues. The staff was friendly and they have a small store with a few essentials in case you need to purchase anything. There's a nice playground for the kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend our friends to check it out.
