nice campground! easy setup with pull thru, level, did not need to unhook convenient shopping and eating within walking distance. Only negative- never located anyone in office the next morning.

The gentleman who runs the KOA was very nice & helpful. If in La Junta again, we would stay with our pop up. I think the unit had not been used in awhile & therefore was not clean. It needed a little vacuuming, dead spider in shower, dead bugs & hair between pillows. I used linens I brought. I had to leave before speaking to the gentleman to convey our concerns. I think it was not used for awhile

Loved the cabin (Blue), but no shade on patio. I love to sit outside. Cabin was perfect for me and my dog. Cute decor on walls. Need a more comfortable bed and heavier blanket. Wifi was very sketchy, couldn’t watch the game. Since tree was cut down, you should put up and umbrella or something. Will stay in orange next time �

We visited a couple years ago. The pool was torn apart and over all was not impressed. Now in September 2022, new pool, new sites with cement patio and deluxe sites. Added a caboose as a camping cabin and another train car is in place to be remodeled and able to rent. Good job new owners. Glad to see owners put money into their parks!!!!

La Junta KOA is one of the best sites that we've stayed at. Very friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating, the grounds were beautiful, and not so many rules that it made the stay an eggshell visit. Also, the WIFI is as good or better than our home WIFI. We will stay here again when in the area - thanks.

I give it a 6 out of 5. I am a tent camper. We tent campers sometimes get the back 40 acreage with some distance to the office and rest rooms. Here, prime. Every site had good shade, a working sink, great tent pad. Excellent staff who seemed to be working all of the time. Nice pool, playground and amenities. CLEAN. The operation just seemed a cut above other locations that I have rated a 5.

The LaJunta KOA Journey has to be one of the better KOA's we have stayed at. The ground and playground are clean and the pool is pristine. Brad and Coral's customer service skills are outstanding as they worked to accommodate our needs. We truly enjoyed our stay there and plan to return in the future.

This KOA was great! Tons of amenities! Clean bathrooms, laundry, well marked sites. The tent site with canopy was awesome! Can walk to pizza and walmart if needed. The only downside was the road and train noise, but easily remedied with some ear plugs.

Very clean. Helpful staff. Love the railroad theme. Patio site 44 is great with grassy, seating grill …. Was a last min get away and ended up staying an extra day.

Everything was amazing! We stayed in the train caboose and it was truly special and unique. Staff was friendly, grounds were clean, pool was perfect. Highly recommend, especially if you have a train loving kid like me!

This is a very nice campground. Staff is friendly. Very close to shopping in case you forgot something. I feel that the showers could use a little bit of bleach to get rid of the mold.

Nice people. They give you a bottle of cold water upon arrival which is great on a hot day. My site had some tree branches in the way. Notified office and the branches were removed in a timely manner. Will be returning.

We had a wonderful experience. Everything is very clean and maintained well. The staff are pleasant and the facilities in excellent condition. We stayed 3 nights and will return. I highly recommend this location.

Canon was fantastic and priced very well! Staff was courteous and accommodating to changes in our plans. Very nice campground even though noise from trains and highways was present.

The only issue we have is the boulders at the entrance the the sit. With our triple axle we nearly got a tire an almost hit the one at the patio with the front of truck.

We are originally from La Junta and didn’t realize the KOA existed till we got a mini RV. This was an excellent stay and we will definitely be back again! Clean area, bathrooms, showers….a thumbs up from us �

Great campground. Clean and well kept. The swimming pool was a relief at the end of a very hot day. We were motorcycle camping and really appreciated the facilities.

Need to relocate rocks/boulders at the entrance to the pull-thru sites. Not enough room to maneuver large 5ver's without rubbing your tires on the rocks.

We stayed one night at the KOA and rented the caboose for the night. It was a really fun experience. They have done a great job decorating the caboose. The bed was comfortable and the space worked out great for the 4 of us. We checked in right after they closed for the evening and it was so easy. We picked up our check in packet and got right into the caboose with no issues. The staff was friendly and they have a small store with a few essentials in case you need to purchase anything. There's a nice playground for the kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend our friends to check it out.
