Campground is NOT up to KOA standards. Not even close. Needs huge investments in pool deck, playground, gravel for roads, road widening, activities, wifi..... It was more comparable to a $30 per night campsite that hasn't been improved in 30-40 years. Most Cabins looked aweful inside and out. I can't believe they still have the KOA franchise. Not a good representation of a KOA.

Sight was clean of debris, cabin was cozy. The bathrooms were also very clean and orderly.

It was a great time for my wife, my dog and myself. the allegheny forest is such a great setting. I walked through the campsite at night and i could see the stars of the milkyway. How awesome our God is to display his creation for us!!!

We rented a “deluxe” cabin, it was an old musty, dirty camp that was on the property. We booked our stay online and had to pay the full amount . We were very disappointed as we had our son and grandson staying with us. We have traveled throughout the country for 35 yrs and planned our trips around the KOA’s, their standard was always very high, what is happening?

Enjoyed our stay in the cabin until we looked under the bed. You advertised that is was sanitized after each use but it looked like it had not been cleaned under there for a long while. This needs to be addressed. The bathroom need some maintenance attention.

Terrible experience. Deluxe cabin looked like it hasn’t been cleaned at all this year ( thick dust and dead bugs everywhere). Would have thought with COVID going on that they would take some kind of precaution. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again the owners were …….. well I guess the hills have eyes would be a accurate description. But anyways was definitely not worth $150+ a night .

We paid $359.00 for a 2 niight stay in a DELUX KABIN on August 20 and August 21. The Kabin was filthy! The stove top so loaded with grease & grime it smoldered when turned on. The oven was filthy and un-useable! There was no toilet paper, no outdoor grill, the floors were unswept and dirty! We've stayed all over the country in KOA's for many years. This one is the worst we ever encountered!

We stayed at the cabin across from the bathrooms. Perfect spot! During the week, there was hardly anyone there! Nice and peaceful! Owners were kind, friendly, and helpful. Would love to come back in the fall.

The Kinzua East KOA is the most run down KOA I've ever visited. The picnic tables are falling apart, the bathrooms were filthy in the corners, and our cabin looked like it hadn't been swept out all summer. There are dead trees all throughout the campground that should have been removed years ago, which is a safety hazard.

The campground is beautiful & the people are very nice, however, we wanted to leave at 8am the day of our checkout & there was no drop box or no one to take our key till 9am. I paid a 10$ security on the key and lost out on my $$ because we had to leave earlier. I left my key with campers to turn in for us. Also the cost of wood there is ridiculously expensive!!

Dirty. Not representative of KOA. I only stayed one night instead of two because it was so bad. The water was brown coming out of the faucet. Dog hair all over our cabin and the cabin smelled terrible

I loved the peace and quiet. Also loved the fact that we were in cabin 12 right next to the restrooms. Was hoping to see a bear but we weren't there long. Maybe next time. Would love to come back but stay a couple days longer. Weather was great so that was a plus too. Cabin was clean and beds were comfortable, which made the stay that much better. First time being at a KOA and it was great.

We were staying at cabin 16 and that was fine. The family bathrooms were quite dirty. The toilet had water leaking at the base on the floor. The fan was working poorly and it felt like a sauna. It was poorly lit . I would definitely say a remodel would be your first priority. The recommendation for dinner at Tacks was a 10.

Pros: Cabin and bathrooms were very clean! Pool looksed nice and clean but it was raining while we were there so we didn't get a chance to go in it. Cons: Amemeties for a KOA are disappointing. Lack of garbage cans (in cabin and around bathrooms/campground) thankfully we brought our own garbage bag.

We were in the Danial Boone Cabin on Saturday night, June 12, our 24th anniversary. It was just the right place for us. We liked the fire pit and made a nice little camp fire. I like that at night, it was totally dark, not a lot of lights all over the place. There were many occupied sites around ours, and all of the surrounding campers were silent and polite.

Could afford to put an ac unit in a window of the campers cabin considering it’s $82 a night. Fire right with a grate would be a pretty easy and efficient investment. Maybe a little gravel for parking would be nice. Labeling with arrows to show where campsites are. Sell bundles of wood at reasonable rate and not wagons for $18. Little inexpensive things could go a long way.

The KOA itself was very nice and well kept. However, our cabin on a night where it was 30 degrees out didn't have a working heater or fire pit. Thankfully we knew the people next door so we joined them at their fire pit. I understand this has been a hard year, but it was obvious this cabin was not rented out often or checked on. The picnic table was also growing moss. I have pictures of all too.

The campground is small. Grounds not really kept up. We stayed the week before Memorial weekend. The bathrooms were ok but garbage was overflowing. The small restroom across from out site had a broken water line so we could only use the one by the office. Siteseeing and hiking was amazing around the area. Overall good stay considering time we went.

We stayed in the wooded area in a rustic cabin. If your campground is open, so should all your bathrooms, especially the ones where everyone is camping, (wood area) and where the rustic cabins are so you don't have to walk up to the front to use the bathroom, especially in the dark. That is not right. If you're open, you're open. Not too hard to turn on electric, propane and add toilet paper.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Only concern I had was I would have like for the cabin I rented to have been in a more “woodsy” area. We were in an open field which was a bit disappointing. That being said, I would still recommend this KOA to others.

It was a great weekend. The only comment is that auxiliary bathrooms at the rear of the park were not as I would have expected. The stool in the right one was NOT mounted to the floor properly and door on the left one was difficult to open and close. Also there should be an "occupied" sign displayed.

This will be my second year fall camping at this KOA. Great place to get away for a weekend especially when I leaves are changing! Staff was extremely friendly and very pleasant this year and last (I only stayed one weekend and it felt like they knew me this year). Some of the sites can be challenging to a new driver, but staff is always more than happy to help get you setup. I would highly recommend as it's family friendly and all around a good time.

Update: I originally gave this place a 4 out 5 4 years ago because of it not being updated... this was the beginning of our travel trailer experiences. After visiting over 20 campgrounds since my original review I am upgrading it 5 stars. The people that own this place are an example of the original campground experience. Quiet. Wooded. Peaceful. Hard working. The real "salt of the earth" people. These place is a piece of heaven. Do not give notice to the bad reviews. Those reviews are from people looking for the galmping experience. This is not that. This is camping. Go enjoy it. Thank you for having us. We will return. God bless. Original review: The only reason I'm giving it 4 and not 5 is because it has not been updated in a long time. Other than that, everything is in good order. Clean campground. Exactly what a camping trip should feel like. Middle of the woods. Gorgeous. So isolated that you feel a little nervous in the pitch dark woods. Great experience
