It was a great place and off the beaten path. It was close to things to see and trails to hike. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We definitely would come back if we were in the area.

We liked the campground. The restrooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was nice. Our tent site had some "widow makers" - dead trees that need to come down, all along the wood line. We made it work but if it had been windy we couldn't have stayed. I know they had some storms recently but these dead trees need to go. We hope to camp again some day.

We have been going there for quite a few years, and have always looked forward to returning. This time was totally different. The new owners were not very cordial and the campground is getting worn down. We tried to use the laundry 45 minutes before closing time, but they shut down early and refused to open. This wouldn't have happened with the old owners. We will not be returning �

I have stayed in KOA’s since I can remember. The campground was not very full at all. Of all of the cabins we could have stayed in, we were located right next to the road. When we asked to move to another further into the campground. We were told no unless we were staying for more than one night. Also, the restroom walls looked like they were about to fall in and just all around in need of TLC

Large shady sites in close proximity to bath house. Easily backed in, level site. Pool is very nice. Staff is super friendly. Would stay again.

Great place to stay near the Allegheny National Forest

This is a nice, quiet campground that's close to Jakes Rocks and Kinzua area of the Allegheny National Forest. My girlfriend and I stay here with our dog whenever we travel to the area. The people running the campground have always been present, friendly, and accommodating (they've allowed us to pick our own camping cabin a few times). And the facilities are clean and readily accessible.

Called enroute to check cabin availability and one was available.Got there, checked in and was assigned a cabin right next to a cabin occupied by a family with a dog.Nearly every cabin was vacant! Why not allow some separation? We asked to move, which they allowed.Firewood is overpriced at $10.50 a bundle, roughly 5-6 pieces. Bathrooms closed from 10-11a.m. for cleaning!Why so early! RETRAIN MGT!

It's a nice clean ,and the lots are very level. Nice pool.

People were very friendly. Facilities were nice. The main problem was the low voltage coming from the electrical connection. It was below 105 volts at times causing the loss of power.

not KOA standards. Pool was filthy and freezing. Bathhouse not cleaned for ages. Moldy. deserted sites through the grounds, random rotting tables and cabins buried in overgrowth.

Some things need updated or fixed. One toilet was cracked in various places, and it rocked and felt like it could tip over. Not as clean as other KOAs. Staff (Bob) was excellent and went above and beyond!

Disappointing stay. We were charged $64 extra for our 2 kids that were already paid for. When I asked about overcharge I was told it was correct. Playground equipment was old and a little scary. The site was not ideal. Overall upkeep of the campground was lacking. The owners were and staff were friendly.

The staff were great. The campground needs some TLC. I love trees but sometimes they need to be cut because they are dead or a safety hazard. We had a great spot but there was a tree that made it difficult to get out. The bathroom near our site was ok. The toilet was cracked and the seat moved. On the other side the toilet was not attached to the floor. It is basic camping with a pool.

This was my fifth stay at Kinzua East KOA and I will be going back next year. The owner/operators are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for lots of bells and whistles this campground is not for you but if you want a peaceful and laid back camping experience, then Kinzua East KOA may be just what you are looking for. Thanks Bob and Ann for a great week. See you next summer.

Stay was pleasant but playground and some facilities need updated. Also there needs to be more bathrooms then just 2 for amount of cabins. We would stay again but not for an extended period of time. Great for a night or two.

Quiet, woody and peaceful campground. Off the grid for technology which is fine for us! Large site and not too difficult to pull in with our medium sized trailer. Very friendly staff. Nature all around the area of the Allegheny Forest. Would definitely visit again.

Campground is great. Simple. No wifi or cell signal. Staff was helpful and full of information! Staff cares about the campground. Great spot to explore Kinzua, Allegheny reservoir and national park, or Bradford, PA - home of Zippo.

This KOA leaves a lot to be desired. When we got there the pool was green which they said was a pump problem so I was ok with that BUT there was literally nothing else for the kids to do. The basketball hoop was beyond repair. The volleyball net was shredded. The playground was awful. We made the best of it and of course our family always makes it fun, but I would not stay there again. Do

LOVED this KOA!! No WIFI service, spotty cell service, that's my speed!! I came here to camp, not to be connected! Our site was in the trees and it was great!!

Everyone in the office was so helpful!!! Just my husband and I this time- we will bring the grandkids back here though. We enjoyed the clean grounds, fire pit and friendly environment!

Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Nice treed and secluded sites. Very friendly host who suggested we visit the sky walk before we set up camp, worked out perfectly!

This will be my second year fall camping at this KOA. Great place to get away for a weekend especially when I leaves are changing! Staff was extremely friendly and very pleasant this year and last (I only stayed one weekend and it felt like they knew me this year). Some of the sites can be challenging to a new driver, but staff is always more than happy to help get you setup. I would highly recommend as it's family friendly and all around a good time.

Update: I originally gave this place a 4 out 5 4 years ago because of it not being updated... this was the beginning of our travel trailer experiences. After visiting over 20 campgrounds since my original review I am upgrading it 5 stars. The people that own this place are an example of the original campground experience. Quiet. Wooded. Peaceful. Hard working. The real "salt of the earth" people. These place is a piece of heaven. Do not give notice to the bad reviews. Those reviews are from people looking for the galmping experience. This is not that. This is camping. Go enjoy it. Thank you for having us. We will return. God bless. Original review: The only reason I'm giving it 4 and not 5 is because it has not been updated in a long time. Other than that, everything is in good order. Clean campground. Exactly what a camping trip should feel like. Middle of the woods. Gorgeous. So isolated that you feel a little nervous in the pitch dark woods. Great experience
