All of the staff are very accommodating! Thad, owner is great; breakfasts are excellent. Park is well maintained and great for large dogs. Good off leash areas surrounding the park. Close to many of the areas you would wish to visit, yet not in the middle of the excitement, so you have peace and quiet. A great place to stay!

Beautiful park with alot to do while there. Location to siteseeing is great. Only issue is tight roads for bit motorhomes but is passable. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

Some sites are not as spacious as others, in the trees and only about 15 minute easy drive to downtown Hot Springs. Good cell reception, FHU all worked as expected. Stayed here multiple times over the past few years and campground is well maintained and a solid choice when traveling on the east side of the black hills.

What a lovely campground, the staff were very friendly. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable with the surrounding area and sights to see along with directions.

New owners and manager are doing a great job! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We visit the Hot Springs KOA every year. We can't wait to return in "2024".

We have stayed in this KOA twice now,and both times love the feel of being camping verses in a RV park. Lots of pine trees, tall enough not to cause damage. Staff is very accommodating. Close to all the attractions that South Dakota has to offer. It’s not ideal for big rigs but it’s manageable to get in and out of the sites.

Met the owner, he and his staff were very pleasant. We found the campground clean and well maintained. The only negative was the rain, but the staff could not change that no matter how hard they tried.

The 4th star is entirely for the staff. Lots of recreational opportunities on-site for kids. RV sites are tight and not necessarily very level. Probably would look elsewhere because of tight sites.

KOA used to be top of the line but not anymore. I seriously don’t know how this campground keeps its affiliation.

I think the R V sites are a little tight and need some improvement.Probably a little hard to try to make more level.I would check around more if I was going to stay in Hot Springs again.

Great location, easy access to many of The Black Hills Attractions. Bath/showers could use an update but certainly clean. Sites were narrow and long term sites should be grouped away from vacationers. Friendly staff and nice camp store.

Sites aren't level and are too close together. The guy at the desk was really nice. We didn't use any of the facilities but there was workers going around doing maintenance and clean up every day.

This is a truly beautiful camp ground, quiet, with beautiful trees everywhere making you feel like you out in the middle of no where camping yet with great amenities. Appreciated an easy late check in. All staff members were extremely friendly and so kind to us first time campers.

A wonderful stay thanks to the attention given to get us a spot short notice and finding a pull thru long enough for our 65 feet. Very friendly hosts and the park is beautiful and clean. We wished we could have stayed longer and we will return again. We stayed for 2 nights during the ‘off season’.

We loved Hot Springs!!! That is the greatest staff working there. They signed us up for KOA membership and gave us information for our next stop and a book to find different KOA’s. Will definitely visit them again.

Glad this location is open during the colder months. Not as close to Rushmore as represented in the name (hence the 9 and not 10). Team on the ground was nice and they did turn on the water for us in the middle of our stay. Easy check in and out.

This was one of the few campgrounds open in the area during the winter. The cabin that was open for campers to use was kept very clean and warm. Thank you so much for having a place available so we could take one of our most memorable vacations!

The Hot Springs Holiday KOA, with genuine hospitality displayed by Suzanne, Todd, and staff provide me and my guests the very best KOA and campground camping experiences ever. I can’t wait to host future guests in the deluxe cabin while I continue to migrate to the comfort of the teardrop camper experience from my former tent camping. I LOVE this KOA environment and experience.

Great owners! We had to shift our dates twice due to a breakdown and they were wonderfully accommodating. Sites aren’t overly level but they also gave us a 2x8 to help level rather than using our own levellers. Quiet even though near the highway. Clean washrooms and laundry facilities.

planned on only staying 2 nights but ended up staying 4. Todd and family go above and beyond what is required of them. Will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. Shower stalls could be a little bigger but they do the job.

Family of 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs and our stay was September 9, 2023 to October 8, 2023. All utilities were still on and working great. The site we stayed in was #18 which was a gravel pull through. The hosts and their family were very helpful, friendly and great! The laundry room was good but due to us being a large family we went into Hot Springs (short drive) and used the Hot Springs Laundromat, and it was great. Hot Springs has everything you need but a bit pricier due to the touristy nature. We used the dog park (which was great f/the dogs to run), mini-golf and playground. Pool was closed to being off-season. You can purchase firewood at the front office, and they will deliver to site and also cleaned out all pits early in the morning (had never seen that before). We will definitely stay here again should we be traveling through.

Stayed here in September 2023. The cabin was clean, and the breakfast served was very good. Staff were friendly. It was nice having breakfast at the campground as options nearby are limited.
