Site was long level. Had to park tow on hill. Otherwise great place

garbage full, sites very close together, very little grass

Thank you for your feedback! Sometimes the garbage cans fill up suddenly and we immediately call to have them emptied the next morning. We are new owners as of June 1. Thank you for staying with us!

It was great

The location is beautiful and the site was spacious

The campground was beautiful, very well taken care of and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. The cabin was very comfortable. The campground was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the activities and are looking forward to going back.

Proves again that KOA is the Cadillac of the industry

Wonderful experience, lots of grass and trees make it feel like camping, even though in a 35' TT.

This is the first KOA where we had really inconsiderate 'neighbors': yelling at kids and dogs, revving motorcycles (but never left their camp spot), loud obnoxious music. The rest of the park could have been restful but omg our end wasn't. i was also surprised that at least the morning coffee wasn't free. Usually there is a free b'fast.

well kept, clean, friendly and very helpful. Thank you, I will return on next trip.

Very quiet location. Hosts did a wonderful job of making me feel welcome. I am a service connected vet 100%. It is hard for me to feel comfortable at locations at times, however the climate at this locations was very laid back and relaxing.

The facilities were great, however I was disappointed in the communication. The office was locked and there was no way to "check in" when we arrived at 1:15. The store said it would open at 4, so we came back shorty before then and discovered they put the check-in key and map in a self-serve box. We never spoke to a KOA representative while we were there.

Great hosts. We'll maintained

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The charges were less than most of the KOAs we have stayed in. The internet was very good, in fact, the best of all the KOAs we have stayed. There is some road noise, but it is minor. The sites were shaded with lots of trees. Our site wasn't very level, but that is why we have blocks! I would recommend this campground to anyone staying in the area.

Nice badrooms, only the showers had pour water. Cabin bed was very hard, the matras. There was no campkitchen availeble.

Normal clean facility. Just a lot of sites that are far from level!!! I had 3 two-bye's stacked and still could not get level. We moved to a site that I could make work.

So wonderful! We arrived thinking it would be a bad camping experience because the weather was sad and rainy. When we got there, the administrator offered to upgrade us to a cabin for a great price. It turned out being a wonderful time!

This is a wonderful place to stay!

They were very friendly and helpful! They helped us get our TV working and suggested things to do in the area that were great!

Friendly personable people. A great stay in the ponderosa pines in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Easy in and out.

Convenient to Hot Springs but a very quiet location. A well run park.

This is a beautiful campground, and the hosts are delightful. Even though we had rain and SNOW and had to leave to avoid the weather on our trip, this is one of my favorite spots. Someday, I hope to go here for a longer stay. It's beautiful.

It was really great place for camping. The host is really kind and generous. My family was perfect satisfied with all things. Especially, I can't thank you enough for your advice of our trip and giving the Buffalo meat. I won't forget all happy memories that I got on your camping site.

Nice park for our one night RV stay. Friendly park staff.

I appreciate your willingness to accommodate our group on late notice! We WILL be back!

We have stayed at several KOA's and this is one of the nicest places to stay. The owners are super people and will stay again.
Oct 19, 2015
nice friendly staff, restrooms were clean and hot showers

We had a great time and sure will stop in again passing thru next year

Stayed two nights due to weather. Staff were great. Sites need grading and leveling.
Oct 13, 2015
We had one problem while staying here. The spot we were put in had loose gravel and our stabilizers sank into it. Luckily the staff here came to our rescue and helped get them out. It's a very nice park, close to everything. Staff is great and everyone was very friendly.

Very nice and helpful hosts. Sites were wooded and private. Bathrooms and laundry were clean. Great area lots to see.

Always a pleasure to stop by this campground....treated like family. Just sorry that it is fall, and the pool is closed, as well as some stuff in the store is not available, but it is fall, and they want to close, so not an issue!!!
Oct 11, 2015
Since all the extra amenities are shut down, rates should be adjusted and WiFi was very poor. Bathrooms were extremely clean.

Thank you for your comments. During your stay the only amenity that was closed for the season was the swimming pool as that had closed Labor day, 3 weeks prior to your arrival. Everything else was available - mini-golf, rec room, laundry & store. After Labor Day our off-peak rates go into effect.

Nice campground and great hosts! I'd have rated it higher except the pads were so un-level that it was impossible to level the RV. Cottontails everywhere and be sure to watch for the flock of Turkeys that call the campground home.

John and Cathy are two great KOA host. They always make our stay an enjoyable one even though we usually can only stay for one night. John always puts us in a cabin that will accommodate our vehicle and cargo trailer and we always feel safe and welcome in this KOA. Cathy always greets us with a smile and a cheerful hello. Thanks John and Cathy. See you in June 2016

Excellent in every respect!! This is the place to stay when you visit Deadwood, Sturgis and Mt Rushmore/Crazy Horse! The best!
Oct 08, 2015
Enjoyed the campground very much, it was clean, welcoming, and more wooded/secluded than other KOA campgrounds I saw in the area. I stayed in a deluxe cabin which was very nice - clean and cozy. However, the bed was so hard I've ended up with severe neck and back pain, there were several wasps in the cabin, and the wifi didn't work at all.

best koa i've been to. friendly hosts, very clean facilities, basic cabin included tv and small fridge. wildlife nearby, excellent camp site
Oct 07, 2015
Very friendly hosts/owners. A beautiful campground. Love to the wild turkeys running around. Enjoy the stay very much.

We rented a Kamping Kabin for two nights and it was EXCELLENT. The only reason this place is getting a rating of four instead of five was a small maintenance issue that had to be dealt with before full use of the cabin. The owners/staff are beyond friendly, have a great attitude, helped with recommendations and were very accommodating to our needs. Oh, and the cabin had cable TV too! :)

There are several KOAs in the Black Hills area, but this is the best for large trees sites, great owners, and proximity to Wind Cave National Park and many buffalo, elk, and pronghorn antelope. The town of Hot Springs is wonderful with small shops and friendly people, There is easy acces to the Gold Rush Highway from the East and a positive alternative to 90. Rapid City is very convenient.
