good camp ground with pretty scenery

The facility is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful and kept everything very nice. The only thing we didn’t really understand was that part way through our stay a burn ban notice was put up however no such ban was ever announced by the county. So we unfortunately had no camp fire for most of our stay. That was disappointing.

The owners were very welcoming and our cabin was spotless. Since we were without our RV, we felt most comfortable in a cabin at a campground and found this one to be just what we needed. We were even treated to wild turkeys walking by!

Great KOA to stay when touring / visiting the Black Hills and Custer State Park. Close to all kinds of amenities. CG is well run, clean and the sites are dispersed. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The people working at the office are extremely helpful - both visits recently, I was very impressed with how they offered to go out of their way to help me! I appreciate that! The campground was also clean and pretty, lots of trees. And everything was clean, the bathrooms included.

Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant and the cabin was cozy. Could use a dust mop for the top of the beams and under bed as there were many millers inside. Bathrooms were immumaculate and always fully supplied and the laundry was handy. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed at the Hot springs KOA. Staff and owners were very nice and accommodating. The grounds is surrounded by pine trees and gives a very cozy mountain feeling.

Nice they had trees by most sites. Clean, activities available, nice store. Road noise but it tended to quiet down at night so not a sleeping disturbance. Easy to jump on the highway to go to Custer and beyond and not far into Hot Springs itself. Friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were very friendly and just superb, campground was quiet, quaint, clean, and had lots of activities. We stayed there 6 nights in a cabin and it was amazing- thank you for a wonderful vacation and wonderful memories of Hot Springs, SD.

Excellent location and excellent KOA. Everything was perfect from the moment we checked in until we left. We were greeted by a very friendly man and he made us feel like valued customers. The bathrooms were very clean and the property was well maintained. Great job! Thank you.

Lovely campgrounds, great hosts such as Susie and Wenda. The breakfasts were wonderful and we're sorry we missed the last day after having breakfast the previous two days. Very clean and we watched staff visit campsites immediately after guests would leave to clean up and check everything so it was ready for the next guest. All of the staff were helpful and anxious to take care of guests.

Friendly staff, beautiful landscape. Gravel sites, but pretty level. Guest need to clean up after their dogs!! The help was careful to make sure there wasn't droppings, but did step in some, not all of us enjoy your dogs!!

Amazing! Had Site 60- best site we’ve ever had! Had 15 wild turkeys walk through our campsite! Very friendly and helpful staff!

Nice friendly folks! Pizza for dinner and a great breakfast in the morning! Fantastic place, I upgraded from a campsite to a cabin which was fantastic - it had an AC unit! One of the few KOAs that does breakfast, they had lots of stuff but for me it was pancakes and bacon since my wife wasn't there to supervise me :-)

Very nice folks. Very scenic with reasonably sized spots. Great KampK9 facility. Enjoyed our brief stay so much that we have already booked a return visit in 2023.

We have stayed at many KOA but this is the best! The owners were so welcoming and went out of their way to help. The cabin was fantastic! It had TV and aircon, all very unexpected for a basic cabin but greatly appreciated. Wonderful cold local beer too. Thank you for the best stay!

Staff/hosts were above and beyond… park had lots of trees and shade… plenty of space… nice hot clean shower‘s ….pizza was delivered to your campsite. Enjoyed it so much I finally bought a KOA membership…thank you

This was our second summer coming to this KOA and we’ll be back next year!!! Close to CSP and other fun activities!!! My one suggestion would be to keep breakfast until after the Rewards Appreciation weekend!!! It’s one of the best things about the campground!!!

It was a blast! Thanks to the entire staff - and a big shout out to Pete - for getting my husband out of his chair frequently so he didn't sleep all day. Hahaha. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the peace and quiet. We love it there and working on one more trip before y'all close for the season. "WE'LL BE BACK!"

Family of 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs and our stay was September 9, 2023 to October 8, 2023. All utilities were still on and working great. The site we stayed in was #18 which was a gravel pull through. The hosts and their family were very helpful, friendly and great! The laundry room was good but due to us being a large family we went into Hot Springs (short drive) and used the Hot Springs Laundromat, and it was great. Hot Springs has everything you need but a bit pricier due to the touristy nature. We used the dog park (which was great f/the dogs to run), mini-golf and playground. Pool was closed to being off-season. You can purchase firewood at the front office, and they will deliver to site and also cleaned out all pits early in the morning (had never seen that before). We will definitely stay here again should we be traveling through.

Stayed here in September 2023. The cabin was clean, and the breakfast served was very good. Staff were friendly. It was nice having breakfast at the campground as options nearby are limited.
