Some of the amenities were closed. Camp sites were not very level for larger RV's.

We stayed in site 43 - a back-in site with a concrete pad. I have a 33 foot Class A. This site, and several next to it, is frightening. The slope is steep and my rear wheels would need to be off of the ground to level my coach —- the same wheels needed for braking. Wheel chocks are not enough to protect from 21000 lbs rolling off the cliff. And hydro jacks aren’t made for that. Not safe.

My grandchildren enjoyed the playground.sad that the jumpy was in need of repair. The facilities were excellent. Our only issue was the pull through site was not level.

Horns on cars blowed all night. Noise campground.

The dump station was poorly designed. Once we turned around at the very bottom of the hill and came back uphill it was much easier. Other than that it was a great experience everyone was super nice. It was clean, the bathroom design was amazing, and it was a beautiful campground.

Great place. Nice view, clean campground & right off highway.

I made error of reserving site w/o sewer so I tried to change it @ arrival. They said they couldn't help me. I was there 3 weekdays and the campground was never half full and there were plenty of sites. I was supposed to get a pull through but couldn't pull in my site due to a huge hole where they were working on drain lines. Their dump station is on steep incline so you can't empty your tanks.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am sorry you feel like we couldn't help you. We did not have any full-hook up available during your stay. We would of been more than happy to upgraded you if it was possible.

Nice park - very friendly staff. Why no cable TV?

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are talking to a company to see if cable for RV can be ran into our park.

Everything was fine. Need a better store. Jump pillow was not blown up for kids.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your feed back. Sorry the jump pillow got a rip in it. New one on ordered. Our camp store is under a remodel to make room for new items.

All very nice!

Having camped for decades this is easily one of the nicest we’ve seen. we got a big pull through spot. They have so many options if you don’t have an RV, such as Conestoga wagons, 2 teepees designed by the owners and built by the Amish, 2 tree top rooms and cabins. I would send someone there if only to see how wonderful their public bathroom is. I can’t explain it to you.

Beautiful place, lots of road noise.

My 1 night stay was very pleasant. This is an older park that someone has spent a lot of money upgrading, and it shows. This park has a lot of different accommodations…tent, rv, various size cabins, Conestoga wagons, tree houses, and even teepees. Workers were friendly and helpful. Bath house facilities was extremely nice and plentiful!

What a lovely KOA. If this one hasn't won park of the year, it certainly should. The views, the sites, everything. This is a KOA I would seek out to return to!

WIFI was a bit flaky. Location near freeway was convenient, but a lot of traffic noise from trucks at night. Clean sites and cheerful staff.

Narrow spots. Not very level. Road noise. Great laundry!

We were only there one night as we were passing through. But the campground seemed very clean and had a lot of amenities. It had a beautiful view of the mountains and the sunset. Staff was extremely friendly.

Site 44 concrete was pitched too greatly. Also should have some type of curbing on the Clift side for safety. Lack of clothes dryer quantity a problem.

Nice facility but pull thru sites are on gravel, without trees, quite short in length. Staff was WONDERFUL

Noisy from the hwy. Sites for pull through not level at least 16 in. Off. They sell levels at the hardware if you want to fix it.no tv service at all. Wifi did work good.

Very helpful

Sites are uneven and making it hard to level the trailer. We pull a 5th wheel and found it difficult to level. Other than that it’s a nice campground. The staff was friendly and Whitney actually called me ahead of our stay to inform me that my package had arrived, which that kind of customer service is rare. We would stay here again.

Beautiful campground, that is well maintained. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The best campground bathrooms ever. The variety of places can stay that create experiences. The variety of activities around was perfect.

Lot 45 had a picnic table over spot that is eroding away. I have young kids and small dogs wasnt great spot. Over park was good. Check in easy. Expect better over all but not disappointed

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The eroding spot is not eroding that is a new drain system being put in. That is why it is covered until it can be completed.

Read the fine print. NO SEWER hookups at most sites. NO cable. We left and came down the road to CCRV the BEST!!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We due have full hook-up but had none available during your stay. We do not advertise cable.

Staff was nice, pull through sites we new so no shade. Road noise from intstate 65 made it hard to have a conversation by the camp fire. But the site is close to Mammoth cave and other caves in the area. So it had that going as a positive.
Sep 18, 2022
Very clean, especially the showers. Very nice service and excellently located for what we had planned to do.
Sep 15, 2022
Very nice setting; fresh cut green grass with farm animals nearby. Mammoth Cave NP minutes away with scenic backroads drive there. Only drawback that you can’t control is the interstate noise. Thanks for a nice visit!

Loved the remodeled restrooms

This KOA is spectacular! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and both the grounds and facilities are very attractive. The bathhouse configuration, where each person has their own full bathroom, is ideal and a gamechanger in my book. I wish other KOA's would also follow suit. We will put another trip to this location on our plans soon hopefully.

What an amazing, relaxing stay! We were in the area visiting family and decided to splurge and stay in the treehouse cabin. I didn't want to leave!!! Beautiful views at sunset, tons of outdoor space, and stunning interior. Lots for kids to do. (I had to try the jumping pillow for myself! Highly recommend!) The staff are so sweet, especially Lisa. Places like this are why we stay at KOAs and not hotels! Can't beat it!

Had a really nice, level site. Great amenities and the bathrooms are top notch! Only issue we had was with the internet/TV connection. We wound up using our phones as mobile hot spots to watch tv....

Our recent stay at Horse Cave KOA in Kentucky was an extraordinary experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor adventure. Nestled in the heart of nature, this campground not only offers the serenity and beauty one seeks in a getaway but also boasts facilities that are impeccably maintained and staffed by some of the friendliest people we've encountered. What sets Horse Cave KOA apart are its unique accommodations, particularly the teepees and tree houses, which provide a one-of-a-kind camping experience. The teepees offer a fun, traditional, yet comfortable camping vibe, allowing you to connect with the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort. On the other hand, the tree houses are an absolute dream for those looking to elevate their stay—quite literally! Perched among the branches, these accommodations offer stunning views and a tranquil setting that makes you feel as if you've stepped into a fairy tale. The cleanliness of the amenities here deserves a special mention. Whether it was the restrooms, the common areas, or the accommodations themselves, everything was spotless. The proximity to local attractions adds another layer of appeal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The Horse Cave KOA provides an unparalleled camping experience that combines the beauty of Kentucky's natural landscapes with the charm of unique accommodations and the warmth of exceptional service. It's a perfect spot for families, couples, and solo adventurers seeking a memorable escape into nature.
