Not bad, sites could be more level- appeared we had one of the more level ones and we still had some to do. Neat location on a farm. Road noise was not as bad to us as others say. Lots of shade on the upper lots which was very nice. Wi-Fi was less than fast but also this is a rural area of Ky so we expected that. Saw turkeys and ducks walking around and this was a nice touch! Close to lots!

Arrived on 7/26 - arrived just after 10 am. The lady kept repeating that checkin is 11, I wasn't aware of time change and asked could I set up to make an appt. She couldn't tell if my spot was open, I drove there and it was - couldn't set up, #84 wasn't level in the least, so went up to #41 and after trying to back in, got it in but NOT LEVEL - never AGAIN!!

We had a great stay! Would definitely stay again! The only complaint would be that the rocks around the cabin were super sharp on my dogs paws so maybe a different kind of smooth rocks would be better and with out a lot of shade being able to let the dog swim somewhere would have been great, wanted to let him swim in the fish pond but the lady at the desk said the owners didn't like it.

Wonderful campground !!!!!

The pool needs work. Everyday we went it was extremely cloudy and full of bugs, hair, and grass. The putt putt needs work. It was falling apart. The stay was nice and we enjoyed ourselves.

Super nice restrooms and showers!!! 5 star accommodations for a campground

The pad we stayed at wasn't level requiring me to use leveling equipment. I was expecting full hookups like every KOA I've used but it was water and electric only. No big deal except the dump station is on a hillside requiring me to leave the park and reenter to even access it. Hooked up on the side of a hill didn't feel safe so we departed without dumping. Nice staff.

We had a 10 year old grandson who was very entertained and loved all the amenities. It was close to the caves and the zoo which we all enjoyed. We would recommend to friends.

Really enjoyed the stay in the Conestoga wagon. Our granddaughter really enjoyed it.

What a fantastic facility the most well-maintained KOA campground I have ever been to the staff is wonderful. The owners have done a wonderful job with this campground.

Nice kampground

Some very nice things about this park for families with children but we found it to be not big rig friendly. Their largest spaces which accommodate big rigs have no sewer and are very hard to level. We never got level there. Just doesn’t accommodate big rigs well.

The teepee had the perfect amount of space for us to stay in with my in laws and toddlers! We had a wonderful trip and love all the exciting things to do at the campground.

Clean and friendly. Little too close to interstate though. Will stay again

Great stay. We tent camped. Would love to see water available near the tent sites. Also, electric there would be nice too. Friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the pool and jump pillow. Thanks for a good stay!

We had the best time so many fun amenities!!

The restrooms were disgusting. After arrival, we reported to the office that one of the showers appeared to have feces in it. It stayed that way until the restrooms were cleaned three days later. We stayed seven nights and only saw evidence cleaning happened once as the trash was removed. The stocked pond had very few small fish and selling worms in the office for fishing was a scam. Disappointing

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our bathhouse is cleaned daily. We do get alot of sand in showers from the jump pillow.

Most pleasant! The Gedda’s at Horse Cave KOA are the best! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Reserved a back-in full hookup site several months ago, received a call about 4pm on the day of arrival that the site I booked would not be available for some reason and I was being put on a electric/water only site. Received a small discount, but in my opinion it should have been free. Sites are small and cramped, showers & pool was nice, staff was friendly enough, but I doubt we’ll be back.

The sites need more thought out into them . We were on site 31 this weekend & we couldn’t even extend our awning out because we were too close to the roadway & there was really no place for our children to park close to our site . We loved the shower / restroom area it was very clean !! On Friday afternoon around 2:30 pm our granddaughter wanted to swim but they had the pool closed til 4

This was our first time to stay at a KOA Campground. While we only stayed one night, when we looked around we felt that the facility and grounds are very well maintained. There are a lot of child friendly oriented activities. The staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. We will be sure to let our camping friends know about your campground.

Nice campground with good facilities. Very close to I65 so noisy all the time. Made it difficult to sleep. Would probably stay somewhere away from highway next time

The treehouse cabin was wonderful and we loved the patio below. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend the treehouse and the Horse Cave KOA.

We called about a spot while on the road. Had some severe weather ahead and decided to stop for the night. They were able to get us a great spot and had everything ready when we got there. Nice park in a beautiful part of the country. Thank You.

The park has lots of character close to the expressway for travel. Swimming pool is very lovely. Bathrooms were super clean. Just enjoyed the stay

The owner is super friendly and on-site many days. There's always somebody cleaning trimming are working on some thing there. Everything seems to be fairly high quality.

Just a beautiful campground. Best maintained I’ve ever experienced.

I was very unhappy to place our 45 foot coach longways alongside the road that people don't know the speed limit is 41/2 MPH! It felt like they would blow by us at a much greater speed! The price for the accommodation was higher than its value. Too many of the spaces did not have sewer hook up, however, we were allowed to run a connection across to the sewer and dump. Not one of the better KOA's.

You are just too close to the interstate interchange, it is too noisy with no trees to help block sound

It was a fun experience to stay in a tree house. There are only a few small challenges we faced that I would have otherwise given 10/10. Cleanliness- there was poop marks still on the toilet. Food stuck to clean silverware. A bug under the pillow- it's the woods I get it- sofa blanket was dirty/stained. 1(not full) roll of TP for 6 people 3 days. Overall my family loved staying in the tree house.

The lady who checked us in was very helpful.

The tree house was very cool in that it was unique. We had our grandkids with us and we all loved it.

Fridge leaked, ice maker didn’t work, dishwasher was broke, toilet ran after flush, had to jiggle handle to stop.Deluxe cabin is right next to highway, very loud at night when sleeping. I felt like since the cabin wasn’t what it was advertised, they should have discounted my amount paid but when I checked out I told everything except the location of the cabin and the girl responded thank you!

We loved our stay in the Horsecave KOA treehouse #1. Nicely decorated & clean. BUT I slept on the couch, and was kept awake by itching.I assumed a mosquito had gotten in & was attacking me. I awoke with 13 bites but they are diff than mosquito bites. They itch more like tick bites, but my research says they’re likely bedbug bites since in a line or zigzag. Family sleeping in beds didn’t get bi

Enjoyed our stay. We couldn’t get level in the site assigned and the staff were so helpful in assigning us a new spot.

What an amazing, relaxing stay! We were in the area visiting family and decided to splurge and stay in the treehouse cabin. I didn't want to leave!!! Beautiful views at sunset, tons of outdoor space, and stunning interior. Lots for kids to do. (I had to try the jumping pillow for myself! Highly recommend!) The staff are so sweet, especially Lisa. Places like this are why we stay at KOAs and not hotels! Can't beat it!

Had a really nice, level site. Great amenities and the bathrooms are top notch! Only issue we had was with the internet/TV connection. We wound up using our phones as mobile hot spots to watch tv....

Our recent stay at Horse Cave KOA in Kentucky was an extraordinary experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor adventure. Nestled in the heart of nature, this campground not only offers the serenity and beauty one seeks in a getaway but also boasts facilities that are impeccably maintained and staffed by some of the friendliest people we've encountered. What sets Horse Cave KOA apart are its unique accommodations, particularly the teepees and tree houses, which provide a one-of-a-kind camping experience. The teepees offer a fun, traditional, yet comfortable camping vibe, allowing you to connect with the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort. On the other hand, the tree houses are an absolute dream for those looking to elevate their stay—quite literally! Perched among the branches, these accommodations offer stunning views and a tranquil setting that makes you feel as if you've stepped into a fairy tale. The cleanliness of the amenities here deserves a special mention. Whether it was the restrooms, the common areas, or the accommodations themselves, everything was spotless. The proximity to local attractions adds another layer of appeal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The Horse Cave KOA provides an unparalleled camping experience that combines the beauty of Kentucky's natural landscapes with the charm of unique accommodations and the warmth of exceptional service. It's a perfect spot for families, couples, and solo adventurers seeking a memorable escape into nature.
