We stayed in the teepee and we LOVED it. It was very clean and was such a neat experience. We also enjoyed the putt putt, jumping pillow, basketball goals, and play area. We built a fire in the fire pit on our porch. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Horse Cave KOA! Convenient location. Front office was very welcoming and had our cabin ready to go on arrival. We stayed in a newly renovated, deluxe cabin. Camp ground was very clean and family friendly. Our kids enjoyed the bounce pillow and play ground! The thing that stood out for us the most was how friendly and attentive the staff was!

Wonderful experience, wonderful location. The noise from the interstate was minimal. The tee pee was not stocked with spare toilet paper or trash bags. Other than that it was perfect! Cozy, clean, peaceful, great time had by all!

Nice park close to all caves

Disorganized spaces, closed off dump station. I have a travel trailer and arrived late and was given a space that I had to run the power and water line under my rig. Why was I give such a stupid space for a travel trailer? Office was closed, map was NOT explanatory where things were.. Never again...

We never stayed here. Made the reservation by mistake. Just waiting on our refund.

Perfect for an overnight stop. A little traffic noise but I recommend the park.

TV didn’t work at all. I’m aware it was due to weather but for the price we paid for the one night I expected better.

Could not level camper in our site. Water would pool in our shower. Our auto levelers just couldn’t make up for the uneven lot. Had to ise rocks and boards. The bathrooms were very nice and lady at check in was pleasant and helpful considering hiw many people were in line

Convenient to Mammoth Cave National Park. Staff are friendly, grounds are well kept, bathrooms are clean and spacious, and sites are reasonably priced.

Just stop on the way down south. The campground is super clean and very nice.

Reason for giving 4stars: WIFI was off and/or inconsistent. We were in 'the valley'. LOTS of space, no shade and a bit of highway noise. On the very plus side: Wonderful staff and nice amenities!

We were in site 91 and while it was easy to get in and out of - pull through, it was very close to the expressway and it was constant car noise. I prefer less noise but other than that it was a nice place.

We stayed in one of the treehouses and it was pretty awesome! Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We fished, played volleyball, had a bonfire, and enjoyed hanging out in the treehouse.

The WI-FI SUCKS I couldn’t even book my next KOA STAY. There were no trash receptacles located thru the park like they said

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do trash pick-up. there are trash cans located by main office. We up graded our WIFI for faster service during your stay.

The camp ground is nice but it is right beside the freeway. We left two days early because of the noise and found a quieter campground. We couldn't sleep or have a decent conversation outside. It needs to have a sound barrier built.

Very nice, friendly, clean. Only thing I would have like better is a closer bathroom.

Wonderful, clean, family oriented campground. Very clean shower rooms and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Very well maintained park. The park is set up with different tiers so you aren't looking at an RV directly behind you. Our site was an easy in and out. Water connection was behind the rv and thankfully we had additional water hose. Electric and sewer were up near our rv connections on our 41' fifth wheel.

A beautiful campground but hilly. Our site did not have sewer which was no problem except for the dump station on a hill. Sometimes the bathrooms were crowded with everyone wanting to shower instead of using the toilet.

We loved our stay! The rescued horse and resident turkeys made for an extra bonus for our kids. The miniature golf was a lot of fun especially hole 16. Beautiful are and less than a mile from a cave and Kentucky Down Under. We will be back to thee area!

Very pleasant young woman working at check in and really nice bathrooms/showers. The concrete pad site we had was perfect for watching the sunset.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Teepee. The employees, especially Lisa, were friendly and kind. The only issue we had is a concern for safety in the teepee. There is a closet next to the bedroom that has a trap door that leads underneath the teepee and under the back deck .It is not locked and the door under the deck leading into it is not locked either. Anyone could enter, needs to be locked.

Nice campground that is very well maintained. Road noise was something beyond their control and was pretty loud. Staff was great. I would stay there again if I return to Mammoth Cave area.

What an amazing, relaxing stay! We were in the area visiting family and decided to splurge and stay in the treehouse cabin. I didn't want to leave!!! Beautiful views at sunset, tons of outdoor space, and stunning interior. Lots for kids to do. (I had to try the jumping pillow for myself! Highly recommend!) The staff are so sweet, especially Lisa. Places like this are why we stay at KOAs and not hotels! Can't beat it!

Had a really nice, level site. Great amenities and the bathrooms are top notch! Only issue we had was with the internet/TV connection. We wound up using our phones as mobile hot spots to watch tv....

Our recent stay at Horse Cave KOA in Kentucky was an extraordinary experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking for an outdoor adventure. Nestled in the heart of nature, this campground not only offers the serenity and beauty one seeks in a getaway but also boasts facilities that are impeccably maintained and staffed by some of the friendliest people we've encountered. What sets Horse Cave KOA apart are its unique accommodations, particularly the teepees and tree houses, which provide a one-of-a-kind camping experience. The teepees offer a fun, traditional, yet comfortable camping vibe, allowing you to connect with the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort. On the other hand, the tree houses are an absolute dream for those looking to elevate their stay—quite literally! Perched among the branches, these accommodations offer stunning views and a tranquil setting that makes you feel as if you've stepped into a fairy tale. The cleanliness of the amenities here deserves a special mention. Whether it was the restrooms, the common areas, or the accommodations themselves, everything was spotless. The proximity to local attractions adds another layer of appeal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The Horse Cave KOA provides an unparalleled camping experience that combines the beauty of Kentucky's natural landscapes with the charm of unique accommodations and the warmth of exceptional service. It's a perfect spot for families, couples, and solo adventurers seeking a memorable escape into nature.
