We're open for camping with limitations and restrictions based on the guidance from our state and local health officials. Most amenities and restrooms are closed, but you can still join us for some much needed R&R in the great outdoors.

More Details

Homerville KOA is open!  Please read this alert to ensure you're properly prepared for camping during this summer of COVID.

From the Responsible Restart Ohio Plan:

-Only one family household may occupy each site, with a pre-determined limit for any campsite (always ten people or fewer).

-Do not gather in groups.

-Do not allow non-registered campers to visit campsites.

-Use social distancing and maintain at least six feet between individuals from other households in all areas of the campgrounds and with other campsites.

-In accordance with current orders, close any nonessential buildings, amenities, and areas where people could potentially congregate, such as pavilions, pools and splash pads, recreation centers, gyms, playgrounds, jump pads/pillows, go-karts, pedal-karts, game rooms, basketball, volleyball, gaga ball, etc. These activities may resume, or restrictions may be eased, when current orders prohibiting such activities are eased or lifted.

-Practice self-contained camping when possible.

Therefore, in accordance with the Responsible Restart Ohio Plan, the Homerville KOA is implementing the following regulations and protocols for the safety of our staff and campers.  Please educate all members of your family to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay.

Arrival/Departure:  Upon arrival, keep right and continue to the yellow and white gate.  All members of your family should remain in the vehicle at all times until you reach your campsite.  A member of our staff will greet you and escort you to your campsite.  This will eliminate any close interaction with our staff.

Distancing: While anywhere in the campground, campers must maintain a minimum of 6 feet from anyone who does not reside in their household. This includes pets and children. For this reason, children under 14 must be supervised by a parent at all times.  Children of any age should not gather in groups that include others from outside their household without a parent present to ensure proper physical distancing.

Closures: Some common areas of the campground will remain closed. Physical distancing protocols must still be maintained in these areas. Areas that are closed include: volleyball, rec hall, game room, and pavilions.  The playground is now open, but children of any age must be supervised by a parent at all times.  The basketball and gaga ball are also open again.  Only one family household may use the gaga ball at a time and the same goes for the basketball court, which has been divided to allow for one family household to play at each end.  Currently, we are not providing balls, so please remember to bring your own.  The softball diamond is open again for groups of up to 10.  The two fishing lakes and trails are also open.  Our laundry facility is open by appointment only.  Please call our front desk staff during office hours to schedule your time.  All activities have also been canceled until we can find some that can be done at a distance.

Visitors/guests: All guests must register at the office and pay admission, which means that they cannot arrive outside of office hours (listed below).  Once registered, guests will be permitted to stay until 9PM, at which time they must return their car pass and check out.  Each guest will be given specific instructions for checking out when they arrive.  Remember that we allow no more than 8 people to be registered to a campsite per day.  For example, if you have a family of 5 on your current registration, you can have up to 3 registered guests per day.

One Family, One Site:  Only one family household may occupy each site.  However, outdoor gatherings of 10 or less, including registered campers from other campsites, may occur if proper physical distancing is observed.  No one from outside your household should be permitted in your RV.  No more than 10 people may occupy any campsite at any time.  This includes those inside and outside the RV.  While not required, masks are recommended for any interaction with members from outside your household.  It is strongly suggested that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions continue to isolate as much as possible and not interact with those from outside their family household.

Store/Office: The store and office will be closed to all foot traffic.  You can place orders for propane, firewood, ice, RV parts, ice cream, etc. by calling or emailing.  We prefer that you pay by credit card to avoid interaction with our staff and so we will continue to waive our $10 minimum purchase.   However, we will also begin taking cash and checks at this time.  In order to make it easier to reach us, we have established a new email address. This address,, should only be used for store orders.  If you have questions or need general information, please use our standard email address: You can also call the office for assistance during office hours at 330 625 2817.
