Southbound from Anchorage: At the Seward cutoff, go right toward Homer/Soldotna/Kenai through Cooper Landing to the end of the road. KOA is at mile 169, the first driveway shared with the Tesoro station. Keep right. If you crest the hill, you've gone too far (but the view will be spectacular!).

Homer is having it's own fun this summer. The Government decided to upgrade our airport, without proper notification to our town including our City Council. Our airlines have been greatly disrupted and air travel into Homer is minimal. One airlines, can't even land anymore. We learned about this project a week before it started. We can hear the nightly construction all over town depending on the wind direction.
You can still have a wonderful time here. Just be prepared to experience an Alaskan Construction Summer. Look forward to the adventure as it is Alaska.
