General Campground Information

Can I bring and use my ATV or Golf Cart in the campground?

All slow and medium speed vehicles are required to remain on roadways. All vehicles require insurance and licensed drivers. Proof of insurance, financial responsibility, and Driver's License must be presented to Security and/or staff upon request. Speed limit is 5 mph throughout park. ATVs can only be used exiting or entering the property.

What type of RVs can stay at your campground?

All RVs must be RVIA certified. RV Condition must be well maintained, but it is at our discretion as to if the RV does not meet acceptable standards to stay in the park

Can I bring my own firewood?

No, state law and local ordinances prohibit transportation of firewood unless certified kiln dried. Bringing outside fire wood to the campgrounds transports bugs and tree-borne diseases that kill our trees. We love our trees and are in fact home to some of Oakland County's longest standing oak trees! (Including one that is 250+ years old!) Please keep our trees safe by purchasing wood from the campground or buying only kiln dried firewood.

Can my friend check-in for me?

The person checking in must provide a government issued ID and match the name and address on the reservation. If there are multiple sites reserved under the same name for a group, that person must check-in for all of the sites and assume all responsibilities of the reserved sites.

When is check in Time? Can I check in early?

Check in time is 3pm. If you would like to check in early, you need to call us the day of arrival to see if we have sites available for early check in. Early check in is only available for RV/Tent sites and has a fee of $5 per hour early.

For visitors fee, do you charge per car or per person?

Visitor fee applies per person. Must check in at the office, off-site parking will be assigned.

Are the cabins pet friendly?

Each type of cabin has some pet friendly cabins with a pet cleaning fee. At the time that you make the reservation, you will need to say that you are camping with your pet.

I am camping with friends, can we get sites together?

The only way to guarantee sites is by using the site select feature when booking online. However, we will try our best to get friends in close proximity to each other. When you make your reservations, ALL parties must state who they are camping with and we do our best to place them in as close of proximity as possible.

I have friends coming to visit, what is your visitor policy?

Visitors must stop by the office to check in and pay day use fee. Visitors can arrive as early as 8am and must leave by 10pm.

Do you have a curfew or quiet hours?

Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am. All children must be on-site during these hours or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Playgrounds are closed at dusk. Bikes are not allowed to be used after dark. We do not have a fire curfew, however, we do require that all campfires are under the watch of an adult. If there are any noise complaints, fires will need to be put out at the request of security.

What time is check out? Can I check out late?

Check out time is 12pm for RV/Tent sites and 11am for Cabins. Late check out is sometimes available for RV and Tent Sites. Please ask the front desk on the day of checkout at least 30 minutes prior to check out time and fee does apply for all late check outs. There is no late checkout for cabins.

What if we arrive after the registration office is closed?

If you are coming after hours. Please inform the front desk before closing time, we will make sure there is a map and directions to your site posted at the night registration kiosk. If you do not have a reservation, there is a list of available sites at the night registration kiosk. If you need additional assistance at arrival, please call our customer service line.

Do you have grills?

Each site comes with a fire ring. A grill top can be purchased from the store.

Do you allow drones on property?

Drones are not allowed due to privacy concerns.

Are fireworks allowed on the campground?

Fireworks are not permitted on the campground at any time. Handheld sparklers are allowed in regards to state laws.

Are Chinese Lanterns allowed?

No, Chinese Lanterns are a fire hazard and considered illegal in this area.

How many tents can we put on one site?

On tent sites, we allow one large tent or two single-room tents. On RV Sites, we allow only a small pup tent for children. A pup tent is a one person tent.

What is the topography of your campsites?

We have some RV sites on gravel and some on grass. If you have a preference, please mention that at the time your reservation is made.

How many cars can we put on one site?

One vehicle and one camping unit is allowed per site. In some cases, a site may have additional parking available for an extra charge. There is a free parking area available for additional vehicles. All vehicles must be registered at the office.

Can we book a specific site?
