Campground Cancellation Guideline

Campground Specific Cancellation Policy

HOCKING HILLS KOA POLICIIES FOR HOLIDAY & SPECIAL EVENT DATES:

The following dates are considered HOLIDAY or SPECIAL at Hocking Hills KOA during 2024:  

5/23-27 (Memorial Day)7/4-7 (4th of July)8/29-9/2 (Labor Day)10/4-6 (Fall)10/11-14 (Halloween / Columbus Day)10/18-20 (Halloween / Fall)10/25-27 (Halloween / Fall)

Any reservations for stays including any of these dates will follow a modified minimum night requirement & cancelation policy as stated below:

Deluxe Cabins will require a 3-4 night minimum stay, depending if it is a Holiday (4 night) or Special Event (3 night) and must notify to cancel 28 days or more prior to arrival for a cancellation fee equal to 1 night deposit with any balance refunded. Any cancelation notice within 28 days of arrival will forfeit deposit in full. Full Hookup Sites will require a 3-4 night minimum stay, depending if it is a Holiday (4 night) or Special Event (3 night) and must notify to cancel 14 days or more prior to arrival for a cancellation fee equal to 1 night deposit with any balance refunded. Any cancelation notice within 14 days of arrival will forfeit deposit in full. Camp Cabins, Non-Full Hook Up RV Sites & Tent Sites will require a 2-3 night minimum stay, depending if it is a Holiday (3 night) or Special Event (2 night) and must notify to cancel 14 days or more prior to arrival for a cancellation fee equal to 1 night deposit with any balance refunded. Any cancelation notice within 14 days of arrival will forfeit deposit in full. 

HOCKING HILLS KOA POLICIES FOR STANDARD RESERVATIONS  & CANCELATIONS 

RV SITE & TENT SITE reservations require notification to cancel 48 hours or more prior to arrival for a cancellation fee equal to $10 with any balance refunded. Any cancelation notice within 48 hours of arrival will forfeit deposit in fullCAMP CABIN reservations require a 2 night stay & notification to cancel 7 days or more prior to arrival for a cancellation fee equal to $10 with any balance refunded. Any cancelation notice within 7 days of arrival will forfeit deposit in full. DELUXE CABIN reservations require a 3 night stay & notification to cancel 28 days or more prior to arrival for a cancellation fee equal to 1 night deposit with any balance refunded. Any cancellation notice within 28 days of arrival will forfeit deposit in full.

* One change of dates allowed as long as reservation is not within cancellation period and sites are available during current camping year. Deposit paid becomes non-refundable at time of date change. 

National Cancellation Guideline

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Deadlines:

  • RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.

Cancellation Details:

  • Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
  • Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
  • No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
  • No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
  • The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.
  • Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.
