we enjoyed the family-friendly atmosphere, and the beautiful Norway Pine plantation. We took part in many activities you offer. Only two complaints/comments: 1) too few bathrooms for the campground 2) the battery-powered blower used to clean the grounds in the morning is VERY LOUD and REALLY disturbs the grounds.

Enjoyed our time but were disappointed with these things: Shortened hours at the red pine. No more lounge chairs by pool. No floating down the river on the days we were there. Hard to get the firewood going, wasn’t dry enough. Miniature golf not the best…

Trees were beautiful and grounds well-kept, but bathrooms needed upkeep (peeling toilet seats), staff uninformed about cost of amenities, and there was no list of prices. We had to check in to cabin an hour late as it wasn't cleaned yet. When we checked in, tables and floors were still dirty. The only friendly staff was the guy delivering firewood. Everyone else seemed confused and overwhelmed.

My family(kids and grandkids) have been spending time each summer for the past 7 or 8 years. We have enjoyed it ever year. The grandkids love to go there each year and we are booked for next year.. Most of the kids have camp sites but we usually rent one or two cabins and here is where I have a negative comment. We are seeing that the cabins need some TLC. The outside chairs are unusable. $$

The kids love staying here. We participated in crafts, the wagon ride, water slide, pool, bounce pad, treasure hunt, smores and movies. They kids love playing in the park and riding their bikes around. The only thing I would change is having the movie in the field/ park area again. Not as many people can fit in the pavilion and the soda machine was bright and made it hard to see the screen.

Cabins and grounds were clean and well kept. The futon mattress was thin and uncomfortable but worked fine. The only other side note is the prices for the mining rocks were miss marked. Staff was friendly. We will be back next year!!

We really enjoy the KOA , but this stay was a little off. There were way too many stumps next to our lodge! Now that we got my email fixed I would surely hope I would hear of all the changes before I get there!

Couple of oddities. Windows in deluxe cabin would not stay up. Door to bathroom would not lock or even close all the way. Awkward!

Booking was easy. The camping and deluxe cabins were as described and had everything we needed. Check in was equally easy. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Brian (manager) and all staff went above and beyond to keep everything in tip-top shape. I was especially impressed they had a dog play area and how well all the dogs in the campground were received and were well behaved!

We have been coming for many years. We have stayed in KL9 for the past 2 years. This year it was extremely dirty when we arrived. Also, the pull-out couch needs to be replaced it is virtually unusable to sleep on. There were only 2 trash bags in the entire cabin we had to ask for more twice. When you have 6 people staying in a cabin for 4-5 nights we need more trash bags, please.

As always we had an amazing time. The only problem we had was we brought our new dog camping with us. She does bark a bit. One of the workers came and told us some people had complained about her barking. He was very nice, and didn´t say we had to leave or anything. But this caused me some anxiety knowing people were complaining, so we had to drive her 1.5 hours each way to my sister´s. :(

While the accommodations in our cabin were nice (clean, everything working, etc) when my group arrived for our stay a few employees made us feel unwelcomed. Simply being a group of young adults doesn’t mean we’ll be disrespectful or need to be reminded numerous times to “behave”.

Went on a Monday-Wednesday and it was pretty quiet so i enjoed that. Lots of fun activities for kids and staff was wonderful. Cabin was nice. Wished ice cream shop was open though or be able to purchase ice cream in main shop :) thanks for good time!

The cabin we rented was having trouble with the electrical breaker. They switched us with no hesitation and didn’t charge us the difference in cost. Wound up with a fabulous house/ cabin. Would definitely recommend staying at this campsite.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin sleeps 8.nice cabin but a little tight. The Roku TV with satellite did not work well as when we came back to the campground we couldn’t have a fire as it kept raining We did get to use the pool for a little bit which was nice. Very family oriented and activities to participate in.We’ll definitely be back and try our camper and cabin. Loved being in the pine tree

Was a little disappointed that the movie for kids is no longer happening. We didn’t really notice cleaning crews around like in past stays. The cabin we stayed in was shifting so it had large crack that bugs were getting into all night. Past stays I just felt that it was better taken care of and more geared to kids.

Really enjoyed the cabin and pool. Water slide was unfortunately broken but they did a good job of keeping us notified. Not much for activities during the week which was a little disappointing but as this was our first time, so we didn’t miss it. Would recommend.

Myself, my son and his friends had a great stay! All the staff were polite and cordial. The only downside I have is the small electrical fire on the 2nd to last day in my son and friends' room, but it was handled immediately. That is the only reason I am rating it 4/5.

We've been many times though the first time staying in a cabin. Great experience and really appreciated everything that was available for our 3 year old to do. The only thing that could have been better were the shower and bathroom facilities.

The staff was all exceptional and friendly. Cabin was cute and clean. Pool was very nice. We are used to camping in our tent with much more space and lots of nearby places to hike so nothing against the KOA, this just was not the right place for us. We would highly recommend to anybody with RVs and children!

We've been staying here for 20 years and things are going downhill. The grounds aren't as nice- there used to be a lot of flowers and things were better maintained. Staff not as friendly. Showers were cold. disappointing after mtb race. disappointed that late checkout wasn't allowed on camping cabin. It must take max 10 min to clean. It had dead bugs & spider webs so not doing thorough clean anyw

Other than a slightly negative check-in experience with a cranky front desk person and a couple of other families staying there whose kids were very rough on the playground to our little ones, the facilities, activities, cabins, amenities were all amazing. Our family had a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back.

Grounds were taken care of well. Our cabin however was disappointing. The interior was old and very dirty. That place needs a real scrub down and a big hole in the wall up the staircase needs to be fixed. Over good besides the condition of the cabin. We would not stay in that again.

Rented a cabin, costly cabin! Arrived to find no toilet paper or soap for hands. That was brought to us but then after told the pool would be closed all weekend due to waiting on a part! Come to find out that management loves to blame everyone else for mistakes or things they haven’t done!! Very disappointed with nothing offered but a sprinkler, the pool is the reason we go! Hot water in cabin did not work-they fixed it. We got a text message as soon as we arrived the pool was not going to be open due to a problem. They ran out of craft supplies for the craft they were doing with the kids. Our futon in our cabin was broken and the best they could do was put wood blocks under it for support. It felt very unorganized and some staff seemed irrited to be doing their jobs

Very disappointed with our stay. The campground failed to let us know that the pool and water slide were going to be closed for the weekend. Had we known that we would not have come with all our kids. Those are the main reasons we come to the campground and to not be warned about that was a dirty trick and bad business. We had friends that we encouraged to go and for their first trip/last trip!

We had a great time. We enjoyed the Mario Bros movie under the stars and all of the new experiences since we were last here. Cabin and facilities were clean. Staff at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and non-attentive at times. We do wish that we had been notified that the pool and water slide weren't going to be open for Memorial Day weekend instead of needing to ask when they'd open.

This is a spot we go to every year as a tradition for memorial day. There were a few things I noticed that have changed. The pool was not working, they apologized and said it might work. My kids were pretty disappointed by it. There was very rude employees employees in the gift shop. I left like we were a burden to them. I come to Hayward annually to ride MTN bikes and gravel, and just recently bought an EV. Hayward is short on reliable EV charging stations, and the closest supercharger is close to 140mi away. The staff were so gracious to let me charge my car and keep me from having to wait over 24+ hrs while charging on a household 120V plug! Even though I wasn't staying at the campground. I love people who continue to pay it forward!
