We were on spot #23 and we’ve stayed there two weeks ago on the same spot,we encountered several Japanese Hornets � this past weekend was really bad because the hornets kept flying around the campsite at our heads! We took every caution we could as to not have any food out of our camper on or around the picnic table. Yet they were very aggressive!! We informed the manager he didn’t know wha

The camp store and the bath house was not what I have come to expect from a KOA, but the campsite itself made up for it. Our campsite next to the lake was beautiful. The campground was clean and quite. Had a great stay and will certainly return.

Was supposed to be water view but wasn’t. Not a lot of sites with full hookups. The chairs “leaked” rust. Thought the site would be paved. Not what we were expecting

Very nice campground, Had a great time staying! We loved the hiking trails and most everyone else staying was considerate and nice. There was one group that was noisy and left trash on the beach, but that is no fault of the campground!

We always love staying here. I guess my only gripe would be and I understand not all Koa's are the same. With that being said- there is minimal to purchase. Things you might forget. Other than that we always have a wonderful peaceful weekend here. We shall return. Julie Belval

The only issue I had was that the restroom/bathhouse, the one on the main road in, was very dimly lit. I was extremely uncomfortable when I had to go in there. Better lighting in there would make me a very happy camper and then I would rate this spot a 5+++++.

Really enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful campground with great amenities! Comfort stations were very nice. Love that many of the sites had wooden balconies. Clean park. We will definitely be back!

Nothing good, not worth the money we paid. 1-Overpriced, compared to anywhere else we've ever stayed 2-Wifi was awful! Considering the cost you'd think wifi would work. 3- Texting maintenance didnt work. Never heard back. 4- Site barely fit our 26ft camper, sold as 30ft spot. DANGEROUS HILL if inexperienced! 5- More to say, out of characters. 864-363-0810 Left a day early. Never coming back

If you are anywhere near this KOA, you MUST stay here. It is not only beautifully appointed sites, but the views of the lake are also spectacular and so serene. We only stayed one night on our journey home, but we have alerted the family that we ALL need to make this a family vacation spot.

From day one (power issue forcing us to move a site) to being yelled at by another guest after the staff told them we refused to move. To manager saying what would you like me to do fire the kid (meaning the young man who handled it all) we (friends of ours who we buddy site with) will never stay here again.

Very nice stay! I would like to see the cob webs in the bathroom and laundry area cleaned up a bit more often. But for a campground it’s very nice.

Beautiful location and great facilities! The layout, from the previous state park, gives you more privacy and room to explore and the amenities of a modern KOA make it one of the best campsites we have visited.

What a wonderful park! I was able to park a 33’ 5th wheel with ease! The park was clean and quiet! Staff was friendly and accomadating! I’ll be back !

This was our first visit there, and loved the campground. It was quiet, cleaning, and the campsite along the water was awesome. The only thing that could be better is the WIFI signal definitely needs to be stronger throughout the campground. We will definitely be back again and again.

I found out that the reviews about the restrooms were false there was a guy in there twice in one day keeping them clean the grounds were also clean and everyone that works there is very friendly the sites are Level however the boat docks could use some work

4 nights in a camper. Really there is no bad site. Ours was right on the water, convenient for boating and swimming within 10 feet from our door. Would come back and stay there again next year.

Absolutely beautiful spot in the lake! Will definitely be back! Only problem I have is they need to cool the bath houses. Very hot! And clean more regularly. Staff are extremely nice and just a beautiful location.

We stayed for 7 nights and loved everything about this campground - the staff was friendly and attentive, the grounds beautiful and well-maintained, and the spaciousness of each site added to the appeal. We definitely plan to return and hope to plan a family reunion for SC and GA family members.

Great sites with plenty of room. Beautiful, well maintained sites. Definitely one of the best there is. Lake front for boating, swimming, and fishing. Peaceful and family oriented with a playground and even a pet park.

Ultimately it was a great camping experience. Secure gated access. Informed us there were waterfront sites available when we arrived, that weren't available when we reserved. Sites were decent. Bath Houses were a bit run down but relatively clean and accessible. Only complaint was not due to the park but due to our next door camping neighbors. Smoking marijuana all through the day and night which blew over around our child.

This is an honest review of our stay (7-27-23) at the Georgia Lakeside KOA campground. We knew that KOA had just recently purchased this state park and we were unsure what to expect but we were surprised at the campground. We'll start with the good: I'll say that the staff were all courteous and helpful, the sites are clean and spacious and the surrounding area is QUIET. The negative, which we believe will be fixed over time. If you are expecting the traditional KOA Holiday fancy or updated amenities, you will be let down with a few items. The bathouses are old and outdated, somewhat clean but dark and not properly remodeled, the bouncy pad isn't the normal big bouncy pillow, wifi is slow and the waterfront sites/water are littered with leaves making it a murky swim but we know that they have nothing to do with this. So with that said, our campsite was site #15 and it was beautiful and LEVEL. If you are in a RV and it rains, you'll be fine but if you are tent camping on site #15 and it rains, look out for 5in of rain on the site. As soon as the rain stops, it dries up quickly but keep in mind if you are tent camping.
