We were on spot #23 and we’ve stayed there two weeks ago on the same spot,we encountered several Japanese Hornets � this past weekend was really bad because the hornets kept flying around the campsite at our heads! We took every caution we could as to not have any food out of our camper on or around the picnic table. Yet they were very aggressive!! We informed the manager he didn’t know wha

The camp store and the bath house was not what I have come to expect from a KOA, but the campsite itself made up for it. Our campsite next to the lake was beautiful. The campground was clean and quite. Had a great stay and will certainly return.

Was supposed to be water view but wasn’t. Not a lot of sites with full hookups. The chairs “leaked” rust. Thought the site would be paved. Not what we were expecting

The price is way too high for what actually comes with the cabin. The least the owner could do is provide tool/utensils for the grill. I have stayed at a lot of koa and in many states and this is the only one that provides NOTHING!!! Then, at the end of your stay you have to do most of the housekeeping. Beautiful campground and friendly staff.

Very nice campground, Had a great time staying! We loved the hiking trails and most everyone else staying was considerate and nice. There was one group that was noisy and left trash on the beach, but that is no fault of the campground!

We always love staying here. I guess my only gripe would be and I understand not all Koa's are the same. With that being said- there is minimal to purchase. Things you might forget. Other than that we always have a wonderful peaceful weekend here. We shall return. Julie Belval

The only issue I had was that the restroom/bathhouse, the one on the main road in, was very dimly lit. I was extremely uncomfortable when I had to go in there. Better lighting in there would make me a very happy camper and then I would rate this spot a 5+++++.

Really enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful campground with great amenities! Comfort stations were very nice. Love that many of the sites had wooden balconies. Clean park. We will definitely be back!

Nothing good, not worth the money we paid. 1-Overpriced, compared to anywhere else we've ever stayed 2-Wifi was awful! Considering the cost you'd think wifi would work. 3- Texting maintenance didnt work. Never heard back. 4- Site barely fit our 26ft camper, sold as 30ft spot. DANGEROUS HILL if inexperienced! 5- More to say, out of characters. 864-363-0810 Left a day early. Never coming back

If you are anywhere near this KOA, you MUST stay here. It is not only beautifully appointed sites, but the views of the lake are also spectacular and so serene. We only stayed one night on our journey home, but we have alerted the family that we ALL need to make this a family vacation spot.

We rented one of the cabins for the weekend and it was great. I would suggest adding a turn around to the dead end road that the cabins are on. If you’re a boater you do not have anywhere to turn the boat around.

From day one (power issue forcing us to move a site) to being yelled at by another guest after the staff told them we refused to move. To manager saying what would you like me to do fire the kid (meaning the young man who handled it all) we (friends of ours who we buddy site with) will never stay here again.

We had a great weekend the cabin was nice the trails were well maintained and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The boat ramp was a little short for my boat with the lake 3.5 feet low so I used the ramp in the day use area

It’s the worst KOA we’ve ever stayed at. When we checked in there was a note on the doorsaying Please call a certain number and they will come check us in trouble is our phones were dead we were on a motorcycle and it was hot and no way to cool off because the office was close. It was a typical state park campground, we thought all KOA’s had pools. But this one did not. We will not stay here

On July 21 and 22 I had Cabin 4 and 5. Everything was great til bedtime. In cabin 4 the sheet had sand on it from one side to the other side . I was tired and I had to deal with that. Policy say take the sheets off and put on the table. I don't understand how this could happen if clean sheets was put on the bed. Also the soap containers in both cabin was empty. They are awesome cabins

Very nice stay! I would like to see the cob webs in the bathroom and laundry area cleaned up a bit more often. But for a campground it’s very nice.

Was very relaxing and super clean as always! We usually stay here 7-8 times in the summer yet this past weekend was our first for the summer due to emergency surgery and recovery was so happy to finally be able to! C y’all this weekend can’t wait�

Beautiful location and great facilities! The layout, from the previous state park, gives you more privacy and room to explore and the amenities of a modern KOA make it one of the best campsites we have visited.

What a wonderful park! I was able to park a 33’ 5th wheel with ease! The park was clean and quiet! Staff was friendly and accomadating! I’ll be back !

This was our first visit there, and loved the campground. It was quiet, cleaning, and the campsite along the water was awesome. The only thing that could be better is the WIFI signal definitely needs to be stronger throughout the campground. We will definitely be back again and again.

Site was clean with water and electric. Went with my family of 7. My wife and three small girls walked into the women's restroom on a couple having intercourse. Traumatizing to my children to say the least. Complained to the management about it. KOA advised me to stay away from the couple (Karen said I harassed them when I confronted them about it). KOA did refund my money. Not family friendly.

This is one of the best camping places we have been to. Hartwell lakeside KOA has excellent camping options. Great Lake views. Restrooms are clean. Kids play area. Dog park. Variety of sites to fit your camping preferences. The staff is really friendly and provide great service. We have camped here 3 times and always recommend to our friends and family. I would anytime come back and camp here.
