We love this KOA campground and the woodsy atmosphere and have been here several times. We really feel we're camping when we are here. It is very clean, well maintained, the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The sites are level. The new, colorful, happy signs are great. They make identifying your site so easy.

They provided a great site for our late checkin. The numbers on the site were wonderful and made it easy to find. The campground was decorated for Fall and very clean. Highly recommend.

Nice spot nice people will be going there many times on 81 gives us ability to go to tenesee in our travel to Crossville and Nashville. Go to Luray caverns and Shenadoah valley national park things to do.

This is a great in the woods campground with a hiking trail out the back. The best part of the campground is the campground office manager, and the outdoor grounds manager. They respond almost instantly to any request and are very helpful with getting in and out of the campground. These are the best camp hosts we have ever had and we've been to many RV parks. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Tuck

We stayed for 5 days & this place was great! We were there for their first weekend of Trick-or-Treating, even thru the rain and cold it was still a blast. Everyone was friendly & the owners we SO nice. Luray Caverns are not far plus there’s so many other caverns too. We will def be back to visit.

We have a student at James Madison and stay here when we are in town for a visit. Staff is great. Can be a little crowded on weekends but one of our favorite KOAs.

Great, well run campground! Loved the big stone fire pit, fantastic WiFi & cable, and a hiking trail. The Halloween decorations and activities were amazing. So much to do in the area! We will be back again

Wonderful grounds and facilities. Activities for kids was awesome. WiFi was better than I’ve ever seen at a campground. The only thing I would change is to not have reaper Ron set up where he was. It was funny but our daughter wouldn’t go inside the office.

10/13-10/15 2023: The staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay! The events set-up for the kids for Halloween crafts, haunted hayride and park trick-or-treating was a very nice seasonal touch. RV spot 48 was very well maintained with timely trash pick-up each day. Well groomed trees provided nice shade and did not interfere with extending my awning. We will be back!

The lots were huge! The campground is very woodsy, which we loved. The bathhouse was very clean with 3 showers. The campground is on a hill however the lots are very level. We really enjoyed our stay. The campsites were all decorated for Halloween. We enjoyed having our campfires and hearing the kids laughing and screaming on the hayrides. Full hookups and our lot had 2 sewer hook ups.

Our spot/43 was most difficult back in I have had to do this year, but it was dark (my fault). Staff was awesome. It was easy to level in the site. The Halloween activities added a feeling of fun. The store had nice items for us to pick up for hiking snacks, and the hike was great opportunity to get into the George Washington/Thomas Jefferson National Forest (on AllTrails). I will come again.

Great service - loved the firewood delivery! Super family friendly. We loved the location - lots of trees and shade. Bathrooms super clean. For our first time camping with our new trailer we loved it and would definitely be back.

You have a very nice campground. Well marked directions to find your place coming off the main highway. Also the carved/painted wooden signs in the campground to give driving directions/site numbers are a big plus. Our site was spacious and long. Being escorted to our site is such a helpful thing, we love KOAs for that. Special mention to "LONNIE"he was VERY helpful when we needed propane

LOVE this campground ! A bit off the interstate down a long, narrow, curvy road, but once you arrive, the busy world slips away. The short haired brunette with glasses could use some customer service tracing, but I won’t let one person detract from an absolutely perfect KOA. My lot was huge and easily accommodated our big rig and the pilot golf cart guide was Ritz Carlton friendly….and an awes

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing we would suggest is to do something about the bottleneck when people are checking in. For example, one day when we were returning to our campsite, there were two vehicles checking in and two more people behind us waiting to get their campsite. Maybe a lane to the right for vehicles checking in so the others can continue on to their campsite?

This is our second stay here. The Shenandoah Valley is beautiful in the spring and fall and the campground is clean, beautiful and quite. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had several septic issues on site 51-- the worst was when the entire system appeared to overflow onto our lot, leaving fecal matter and toilet paper everywhere (which the maintenance person kindly cleaned up). We also had an issue with the barbecue. Finally, please bring back trick or treating on all October Saturdays! We love this location but this stay was unfortunately not up to par.

Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA is set in a beautiful location. The campground is well maintained and the staff is friendly. I look forward to returning again.

This is our second time back. The new management has really impressed us and turned this place into top notch. On top of the appearance being perfect the staff was amazing. Every time we needed ice or firewood they were quick to deliver directly to our campsite. The campsite had a bunch of people working on upgrades and keeping the camp clean. We loved that they had pizza as an option for breakfast and dinner.

Campground has a homey, woodsy feel. Sites are gravel and level. Staff is very friendly.
