Halifax West KOA Reviews

Good place to stay. Only issue I have is very poor internet, if at all. In this day and age campgrounds need good internet at the campsites so they can access their day to day responsibilities.

Douches défectueuses, Systeme de déchets très mal organisé. Beaucoup de branches à couper, les chemins sont encombrés de branches.

Many uneven sites which wouldn't drain the rain for two days. Sites very close to each other. Was okay for our needs as we didn't stay at camp during the days, we went for sightseeing. On a positive note, all staff were quite nice and helpful!

Very friendly staff and accommodating grounds. Pancakes daily!!

The grass was mowed long and old grass left in clumps. The gravel pad was unlevel, took 4.5 inches to level the RV, most I have used anywhere. Recreation room was small and campground worker started storing bicycles in it making it smaller.

Always a great time, great service, will be back!

Dirty site need more than one hook in shower sites all need more gravel just not a KOA I would return to kids up yelling at 2 am no security visable

Great campground and an awesome staff!!! They were very accommodating in moving our site so we could camp next to my wife’s brother’s site since this is our first camping experience. Very clean, quiet, and we met some great campers! Highly recommend this KOA campground!

Nice camping. A little tight, enjoyed it overall.

Mostly positive experiences - we had a good campsite, great interactions with the staff, delicious and very affordable breakfasts at the pancake house. A few kinks (glitchy washers and dryers, very smelly shower drains) were only small complaints and didn’t spoil the overall good stay. Will come back in the future.

Perfect location for Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, Oak Island, Lunenburg, and Tidal Bore Rafting. Stayed four days and nights. Owner and staff accommodating ourselves and our travel buddies. Large numbers of site and level. Lots of children and activities.

Great stay. Lots for the kids to do. Enjoyed our time!

I want to thank Joe and all of the staff for everything they did to make our stay such an enjoyable one. 2019 was our first stay at KOA West, our 2023 stay was even better, Even with the flood all of the amenities were very clean. The staff are very helpful. They kept the grounds in top notch shape! There is a lot for children to do and is central to most places you may like to go.

Myself and my partner love staying at this KOA. Joe, the owner is very friendly and accommodating if you need to switch sites. The campground is very clean, lots of things for children, pool and jumping pillow, games room and awesome low riding bikes. We always pick a water view site and the grandchildren feed the ducks. Also ice cream stand and music at the stage which doubles as a pancake house

The campground ( though small) has a ton of amenities to keep the kids busy but still feel charming and cute. The staff are always really friendly .
