The environment is amazing. The animals are so cute and friendly. My kids were able to ride a horse named Charlie. The pond across the road is an amazing fishing spot. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The grass sites were very nice and well manicured. The staff is all very friendly!

The location and the grass pads were definitely highlights. We were able to fish and bike from the campground. We really enjoyed it.

Beautiful grounds, with lots of room to roam - loved all the animals. Everything in working order with spacious sites Bathrooms better and cleaner than a five star hotel! Staff very friendly and helpful!

Loud campers, screaming kids, barking dogs starting at 630am so no peace and quiet until about 900pm. Airplanes due to right next to airport oh and livestock loose on the grounds. Won't be staying here again.

Nice place to camp. Loved the livestock! Check-in was confusing - shared water source without a splitter. Had to go back to the office twice for assistance. Short-staffed.

This place is great. Great for kids and love the animals! Way better than just a KOA JOURNEY. The only reason it didn’t get the highest marks are the misquote infestation. It’s was so unbearable even with spray on, fire going and a candle burning. So things are uncontrollable but I really think the pond makes it sooooo much worse. I think we might try to come back in the fall after those nasty

This is a very nicely taken care of and clean campground. It far enough off the highway that we did not hear the highway traffic in our tent. The only reason that I would not give it a 5 is that it did not seem to have a tent area. Tents were mixed in with the RV’s which can be noisy on a warm night with the air conditioners running.

We were very pleased with our 2-night stay. The facilities are well kept and clean. Although next to the airport, this is not an issue since during our stay given the light volume of traffic, and that the first flight of the day was at about 8am and the final flight was about 8pm. We weren't around much during the day anyway, since there is so much to do in the area!

Campground was really well cared for. Sites were well spaced. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The location near Gunnison and the Gunnison River are great. I would have given a 5 except that there are not a lot of amenities, like a playground for kids, though there are cool animals! We would definitely stay there again. This KOA and the one in Townsend, Tennessee are my top two.

Once again a wonderful stay at Gunnison KOA! We have been coming here since 2019 and it's just a great place to camp. Many sites with trees, beautiful green grass everywhere (seriously like golf course grass). All the animals are so cute! The restrooms & showers are exceptionally clean & modern. It's so nice to see an owner who takes pride in their campground & enjoys seeing Happy Campers!

I loved everything about KOA with the exception of the fires at night. The smoke from the fires seemed to blow into our RV and linger the next day. But this is a beautiful and well maintained KOA.

The grounds were very well kept and the bathroom/showers were very clean. There are donkeys, ponies and goats roaming the grounds at will. Our spot was located right by the house at the entrance and we were next to the pig pen which may have been the cause for the amount of flies and mosquitos that we encountered. The fire pit was very small and delapidated but we made it work.

Check in was very easy. The facilities were clean. I enjoyed the petting zoo animals. My one complaint was the mosquitos by the creek were vicious, and the cows that woke up by strolling along the creek were completely unexpected.

I enjoyed my overnight stay at you campground. the few issues I had was the shower I choose was the last one in the row and the water cartridge was reversed and made it difficult to adjust. Also the toilet next to the showers was loose and moving around and back and forth.

This was our second stay at Gunnison KOA Journey and was very pleasant. While we did not use the laundry or bathroom facilities, the rest of the park was well-maintained. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely stay here in the future.

It was very nice. There a few things that could you some attention but overall is was a pleasant stay. Some areas need some cleaning up and the dog park needs a total redo. We checked out the other rv park and KOA was by far much better.

Nice grassy sites that were well maintained. Super clean bathrooms and great showers. Plenty of games/activities at the KOA, and lots of farm animals to pet.

Camp ground was very clean and well taken care of. Sites were very spacious and level. Bonus was the animals at the entrance. Highly recommend this camp ground and will definitely visit again.

We loved our stay at Gunnison! We were on the outer ring, and had plenty of space. THe grass was well taken care of and the campground was impeccable. Clean restrooms, plenty of activities for kids (fishing, playground, petting zoo), and close to everything in Gunnison and the national park.

Its December, 2023. Via phone, found out this is a seasonal campsite, no Winter camping. Host was very friendly
