Our 2nd stay here and we really loved it both times. It’s clean, green and close to the small airport in Gunnison, not a freeway like so many campgrounds, so nice and quiet. The location makes it a great base camp for day trips in any direction.

The staff was very nice. This KOA has several farm animals. At times free to roam. Most of them stayed by the barn, but 2 donkeys would walk around and get you. They liked carrots. The grounds were well taken care of. The sites were close together. We would recommend staying there.

We stay here every summer for the beautiful weather, even the rain. Dave Taylor is very welcoming and makes sure the camp is well taken care of.

We come here as often as possible. We love the grassy lots, which makes the area more enjoyable. They’ve grown the group of animals, though it seems Norman the bull is gone. There are sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys, small horses, etc, that you can pet, or enjoy watching. This has to be the craziest place for little guys! We have loved this place for many years. We’ve been staying at this KOA many times over the years. It’s always a pleasant part of our vacation. I only wish the management would fix/adjust the screen doors on the camping cabins. For years, there’s never been an inside handle to pull them to, and we’ve had to use a rock to prop it shut when exiting (at least to close it a bit to keep insects out). The one light inside is very

There needs to be a bathroom/shower closer to the A-frame cabins. It’s a long, dangerous walk at night across a rock covered field to get to grass and not walk thru a pond or stream.

Very friendly hosts, only minor complaint is the level of chlorine in the water system which was fairly high but aside from that very good.

2 buddies of mine and myself came through on motorcycles and needed a place to stay. I had called earlier and I can't remember the ladies name but she was very nice on the phone and very informative on where we could pitch our tents to make us more comfortable when we arrived. Bathrooms were clean. Only bad thing was the dust. Maybe something could be done in that area, some type of coating.

Great little location! I wished I had my family with me. The donkeys and free-range goats were my favorite. :) The camping cabin was just what my dog and I needed.

Entrance road is dirt/gravel with many chuckholes. Right inside the entrance is the residence which is very unkept with trash all around.

The barn animals roamed everywhere and it smelled like farm. Previous campers had a dog fence and the site smelled of dog urine the grass was destroyed because of previous dogs. The roadway needs gravel and was very muddy after the rain. Would not recommend unless you like a smelly farm atmosphere.

Well maintained camp ground! Appreciated how clean everything was, especially the bathrooms! Had many toddler friendly amenities and free hot showers! Would stay here again for sure!

Made a last-minute reservation for a site, and the staff worked with me to fulfill my request. Plenty of grassy room between sites. The staff is amazing to work with.

We stay at the Gunnison KOA often and always love the warm, kid friendly atmosphere. Dave Taylor works very hard to keep the place clean, grass cut and goes out of his way to make every guest feel welcome. His staff is hard working and very kind and informative. Great little pond just outside of the campground for some fishing. Thanks Dave and crew for another wonderful stay.

It was a short stay two overnights, but the bathrooms and the surroundings were very well kept and clean. We really enjoyed the roaming animals.

This was the nicest KOA we have stayed at! The grass at all the sites was a nice feature, the game area was fun, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed all the creatures at the petting zoo! It was also great to be close the the water park and town. We will definitely be coming back whenever we are staying in the Gunnison area!

Its December, 2023. Via phone, found out this is a seasonal campsite, no Winter camping. Host was very friendly
