Sites are very much out of level. Asked for a level site for one night, I was told there was only one site left . It was literally a same incline from front to back. Very disappointing. Then I pulled out early and saw several sites empty that were much nicer and much more level.

We've stopped there 4 times up & back on way to Myrtle Beach. It's been good until Wednesday 4/3 only 1 night. It was raining and had been raining. We got the wettest spot.. The park wasn't 100% full so maybe we could have gotten a little dryer pull through for just the one night. Might try another spot next time through. Otherwise,met several friendly. pet owner campers which was very nice.

Everything was nice and clean and the staff was very nice, the only thing not too pleased with was that they had the Easter egg hunt, and there was no candy in the Easter eggs for the kids, other than that, very clean and friendly staff!

Great campground, just wondering why they need to start charging for pets. Campground rates are high enough without tacking on extra.

We were just passing through on our way back to Pittsburgh after snowbirding in Florida for 2 months and found the campground quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The campground was neat, tidy, and offered an area to hike. The staff greeted us with a smile and were very helpful. The site had a patio with a nice table, chairs and a fire pit.

Very nice place - roomy sites, very clean, outstanding staff! There were lots of activities for the kids over Easter weekend. The only downside I saw was that there was a lot of mud and standing water around some of the cabins and sites near the office. Add some drainage, perhaps?

This is a beautiful, nicely designed campground with lots of shaded sites and a small pond. It's kind of far from Fredericksburg but so quiet and pleasant. The camp store is great with lots of unique gifts and souvenirs.

was the perfect place to stay. Nicely maintained, and the Camp Store was awesome. Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely go back when I am in that area again.

It was a great time. Staff was very helpful and cheerful. This was my first time with a travel trailer and they were very helpful. The bath house was very clean and the store had a wide variety of items.

The staff was wonderful, and the store was the best yet at a KOA. Restrooms were clean though shower rooms were so small as to be claustrophobic. Unfortunately we were parked in the cabin area and we've never seen such chaos. There will children and pets running everywhere, screaming at the top of their lungs until after 10pm. The parents did nothing, and no park staff was a round to get help from

F&W DC South KO is a well managed, well maintained campground with a very attentive staff. I will certainly stay there again in my travels up and down the 95 trail.

The people at check-in could not have been nicer or more accommodating! She made sure that we had enough room at our site so we did not have to unhook our vehicle since we were only staying one night. We would love to come back and stay longer!

somewhat disappointed. site was not level and the cable TV was not good at all. previous years staying there had the same problems. We stay at KOA's on our trips and think by now Fredericksburg would have gotten their act together. will think twice about staying there in future.

I’ve had wonderful sites here previously, but the one I had recently was sub par. The sewer connection was at the extreme end of the site and the threads on the fitting were worn to the point that my connector wouldn’t stay in. Fortunately I had a rubber adapter. . Hope I don’t get this site again.

The lady in the office at check-in offered some great advice on commuting to DC each day. Campground was quiet and relatively easy to get to.

Stay was great, even with the rain. We were able to go and view the battlefield stuff, which was our intention. Had great meals in downtown Fredericksburg, and our location was wonderful.

Sites were very uneven. We had booked s pull thru and when we got there, I was told we would have to unhook. I said no, we were just passing thru for the night and didn't want to have to unhook the car dolly. They had nothing else to offer so I said we would choose to leave instead. A lady says our sure wasn't flagged that we wouldn't fit so we were told to try it. Site worked but was not good!

The grounds are very clean, staff courteous and helpful and restrooms clean and heated! There are activities to entertain children.

We arrived at the last minute after the office was closed, with reservation, it was an emergency. The lady somehow shown up behind my RV, guided me to the spot 21, instructed the details. She was like an angel to me.

One night stay on our way home from Fla. GPS got us there OK however, once off of main roads towing required extreme caution. This place is tucked away and having never spoken with anyone that could prepare us, the location came as a surprise. The campground itself is very nice. The bath/restrooms are spacious and clean. The weather created some tolerance as we were a distance from the office

Very nice campground. We spent 3 nights here in mid March. The camp was well maintained and the staff was friendly and responsive to the camper’s needs. I will stay here again.

We stayed at this KOA on our way home to New York after wintering in Florida from Nov. to March. This KOA was great for a stay in transit. It was clean and well maintained. There should be some kind of bath mat in the shower rooms as the tiles are slippery, especially when wet. The seats in the shower are too small to be useful. Otherwise a nice place for a stop over to home or other trip.

I stay at this campground often as it is right before or after the Baltimore/DC Traffic section of roadways. It is a little slice of woodsy Heaven not too far off the major highways but far enough that it’s very quiet.

Lovely, wooded , peacefully quiet setting. Great paved roads within park, gravel FHU with 50 amp sites. Immaculately clean spacious bathrooms & showers. Many of each. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. However, poor signage off Hwy. , extremely confusing direction after exit 118. Hwy. 1 not posted. Roads off Hwy. 1 to park are hairpin blind turns, no shoulders & drop offs. $81 overnight, bit high but close to east coast & our Nations Capital

Ran into truck trouble on 95 on a Thursday before Easter. We needed to find something very quickly and close to a dealership to have the truck fixed. Luck was on our side when we saw a KOA 10 miles from the dealer. I tend to over research before picking where to stay, however, we had no time. I booked a site literally 5 minutes before arriving. The grounds are beautiful, shady and tucked into the woods. Plenty of room to walk and for my son to ride his bike. A great playground which he loved as well. There is also a pond on site which adds to the charm. The general store/office was nicely stocked. They did not have milk or butter but had a couple of grocery items such as eggs and hot dogs. It had rained a lot the night before so the grassy areas were pretty soggy but the staff were actively trying to get any sitting water off the sites and roadways. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. If our travels bring us back to this area, we would definitely book again.

Stayed at this campground many times. Great location. This is the first time they charged extra for pets. Not sure why they need to do this. Maybe they charge extra for kids too. Campground prices are high enough without adding extra charges.
