The week prior to my stay I stopped by the KOA and was informed that I would be in site 20 which was large enough to accommodate my 5th wheel and my oversized truck. Upon arrival, I was assigned in site 30 which did not fit my RV and my truck. I had to cross park which covered up the fire pit, and most of the site. It was very crowded and unusable. Not very happy!

We had a great time and love returning to KOA Fredericksburg. Always well-maintained with friendly and helpful staff.

Otherwise a nice KOA, but an incident with one of your hosts, who guided us to our site, spoiled the stay: (i) while I was at the counter registering, he called in via radio that one of our dogs was "climbing through the window" (it wasn't, and remained well behaved); (ii) then as we got into our vehicle he hassled us that we had three dogs. Everything was great, getting the space smiling face, etc Gentleman took me to my space , very helpful, sewer connection was on wrong side for my application, so lady said I could use the pull thru dump at stop sign by office as I was leaving. I ask them to unlock sewer connection in am when leaving, when she did she was not happy a chewed me out, not cool !!

Tip for future Campers. Sites are limited when a prior reservations are not made. The sewers are always on the drivers side. This guest CHOOSE to park backwards for satellite reception on non satellite site. You were directed and given options which you refused. Happy Camping!

We love this campground! The setting is beautiful and peaceful and the property is very well maintained. The staff are wonderful people who are focused on customer service. As in almost anything, people make the difference and that is definitely true of this campground. �ϋ�

Nice place to stay but on site manager was a bit rude to my 22 yo daughter who was trying to make a purchase while the registers were down. Stuck her finger in my daughter's face while my daughter was on the phone with me getting approval to charge to my card. I get being stressed but attitude to younger (and very mannered and responsible) customers is not ok.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds with a little pond. Located within 5-20 minutes of multiple Civil War battlefields. Perfect experience!

We had a pleasant stay. Location was convenient to what we wanted to do. The sites were a little to close. I felt the hook ups were encroaching upon the other sites space.

Staff very friendly. Beautiful, quiet, woodsy area with many kid related activities available. One drawback: Dog poop absolutely everywhere. It's on every site, every walking area. I have a dog and I pick up after my dog. I have NEVER in all my travels seen so much dog poop in a campground before. Not sure what the solution is but something needs to be done.

It is a quiet peaceful park. Bathrooms are clean. Has a dog park. Close to lots of history.

Many sights were not level, small and close together, felt like the hookups and sewer were on the nieghbors property, and a lot of duck droppings all over the grassy area

Family friendly, clean, and professional. The staff is welcoming and highly engaged. We could not be more happy with the KOA Fredericksburg community and the relationships we have built with the KOA team and guests there!

The campground was nice. Our only problem was all the goose poop. I know this was not a reflection on your campground….it’s a part of nature. Since our spot was close to the pond was the reason for it but there was literally a lot of goose poop. Otherwise we liked the campground.

The staff are rude and would not stop bothering us about the most mundane things. My poor child couldn’t walk or swim without one of them making some comment. They complained about my dog hair and told me to pick it up off the ground. I mean overall worst KOA I have ever stayed at and I have loved staying at KOA’S

Tip for future Guests: All children under age must be supervised in the pool, and pick up after all pets. As a courtesy, clipping dogs hair on top of a picnic table where others eat, and not cleaning it up...Camping 101... Leave No Trace. Happy Camping!

Never was made aware my credit card information is kept, it was charged at the store 3 separate times! When I went to the office the general manager said that is policy but could not show me in writing were I agreed. Regional manager was just as bad as her quote “ Wgat Steph says I back up”, she finally asked what I wanted… delete my card information is all I asked for, not the attitude f

Campground was nice, most of the spots are shaded. Stay away from spots in the 90’s, they are in full sun no shade trees. The reason I will never go here again was that they’re geese walking all around. The problem with that is that means that there is geese poop all over our campsite. We couldn’t even go to out picnic table without stepping in it. Didn’t realize it at night when we arrive

May the Geese Fly! Unfortunately they found our pond again after 2 years. When the babies learn to fly, we hope they NEVER return. Now HIRING Geese Patrol!! Apply within!!! Happy Camping!

Staff was helpful and friendly. We loved how our pop-up camper was in between two cabins, it really cut down on noise from other people and enabled us to have a nice, quiet camping experience.

This KOA site is a GEM of his own. It’s hidden in a valley in Virginia very nice peaceful. The employees are very courteous and the area is extremely clean. The wife and I were happy to find this place for overnight stay. Recommend anyone KOA or not to visit this place.

Goose poop everywhere, I cleaned up about 5 pds.staff were not really friendly when i checked in. Unless you pay for a patio site there is barely room for the picnic table and fire ring and you will be right against someone else's sewer. They also decided it would be good to bring down 2 large trees, what a racket all day. Couldn't they have done that before the camping season started in May?

Tip for Future Campers: We are in the woods with nature, expect critters. Please view map and lock in your favorite site for just $10. 30 amp sites are slightly shorter than those for longer rigs. Photos are available on the web. Happy Camping!

You have a great park! The only downside would be, some of the sites are very close together. But everything worked great, nice quiet park.

We were disappointed in the unlevel space and the lack of dependable tv cable service. We had to purchase a Roku device for the Television which worked reasonably well. We decided to shorten our stay due to the horrendous traffic congestion and cancelled our rental vehicle. Thankfully we were refunded $134. for our brief stay.

Tip for Future Campers: Please contact a staff person immediately when you encounter an issue at your site so we have the opportunity to correct it. We can't provide excellent service unless we know you need an issue resolved. You stated you were checking out due to illness! Happy Camping

Lovely, wooded , peacefully quiet setting. Great paved roads within park, gravel FHU with 50 amp sites. Immaculately clean spacious bathrooms & showers. Many of each. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. However, poor signage off Hwy. , extremely confusing direction after exit 118. Hwy. 1 not posted. Roads off Hwy. 1 to park are hairpin blind turns, no shoulders & drop offs. $81 overnight, bit high but close to east coast & our Nations Capital

Ran into truck trouble on 95 on a Thursday before Easter. We needed to find something very quickly and close to a dealership to have the truck fixed. Luck was on our side when we saw a KOA 10 miles from the dealer. I tend to over research before picking where to stay, however, we had no time. I booked a site literally 5 minutes before arriving. The grounds are beautiful, shady and tucked into the woods. Plenty of room to walk and for my son to ride his bike. A great playground which he loved as well. There is also a pond on site which adds to the charm. The general store/office was nicely stocked. They did not have milk or butter but had a couple of grocery items such as eggs and hot dogs. It had rained a lot the night before so the grassy areas were pretty soggy but the staff were actively trying to get any sitting water off the sites and roadways. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. If our travels bring us back to this area, we would definitely book again.

Stayed at this campground many times. Great location. This is the first time they charged extra for pets. Not sure why they need to do this. Maybe they charge extra for kids too. Campground prices are high enough without adding extra charges.
