Campground Specific Cancellation Policy

Erie KOA Cancellation and Early Check-out Policy

Due to holidays, high-demand periods, and special events throughout the season, our policy differs from the KOA's national cancellation guideline as detailed below. 

Our high-demand period is from May 10, 2024, to October 12, 2024, and KOA's national cancellation guideline only pertains to reservations outside of this period.

All cancellations that the guest chooses to use the KOA Select My Site when making the reservation will also not be refunded the $20 nonrefundable fee. VIPs are also subject to this reservation fee as it is optional to use the KOA Select My Site feature and is nonrefundable to all guests.

RV and Tent Site Reservations:

a) If canceled 7 days prior to 1:00 pm of arrival date, your deposit minus the standard KOA cancellation service fee of $20 will be refunded.

b) If canceled after the 7th day 1:00 pm deadline, the entire deposit will be forfeited.

c) Please see holiday cancellation and named special event policies for reservations during those stays.

Deluxe Cabin and Camping Cabin Reservations: 

a) If canceled 30 days prior to 1:00 pm of your arrival date, your deposit minus the standard KOA cancellation service fee of $20 will be refunded.

b) If canceled after the 30th day 1:00 pm deadline, the entire deposit is forfeited.

c) Please see holiday cancellation and named special event policies for reservations during those stays.

RV and Tent Site Holiday Reservations:

a) If canceled 7 days prior to 1:00 pm of your arrival date, your deposit minus a $50 cancellation service fee will be refunded.

b) If canceled after the 7th day 1:00 pm deadline, the entire deposit will be forfeited.

Deluxe Cabin and Camping Cabin Holiday Reservations:

a) If canceled 30 days prior to 1:00 pm of your arrival date, your deposit minus a $50 cancellation fee will be refunded.

b) If canceled after the 30th day 1:00 pm deadline, the entire deposit is forfeited.

Early Check-out:

No refunds for early departures. All modifications to reservations must be made prior to the cancellation deadline.

Violating Campground Policies or State/Federal Laws:

In the state of Pennsylvania your reservation is a license of use and can be revoked at any time for not following the posted policies and rules. Please see all posted policies and rules on our website under the information tab: https://koa.com/campgrounds/erie/general-information/. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you have read, understand, and agree to comply with Erie KOA Holiday's policies and rules. Not complying to these policies and rules during your stay, will forfeit all your rights to any refunds, including any portion of your unused stay with Erie KOA Holiday.

National Cancellation Guideline

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Deadlines:

  • RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.

Cancellation Details:

  • Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
  • Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
  • No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
  • No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
  • The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.
  • Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.
