The Dubois Museum will take participants on a Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek to view the site of the crash of a B24 bomber from the 29th Bombardment Group H Gowen Field Boise, ID. The flight left Pocatello, ID on a training and photographic mission on August 14, 1943, and crashed in an isolated area of the Wind River Mountains, southeast of Torrey Valley.Advanced registration is required for this very strenuous trek and participants should bring hiking poles, rain gear, 2 liters of water minimum, lunch, snacks, T. P., personal first aid kit, sunscreen, insect spray and bear spray.Transportation is provided to the trailhead and the cost is $25.00 per person.
