What a clean and friendly place to stay! The staff was so helpful and there were so many activities to do with kids, we had kids ages 2-8. We would definitely stay again.

Loved the campground and all the extras offered to keep kiddos engaged and busy. We enjoyed renting the bunkhouse camper, definitely gave us a feel if we like camping or not and we do. It offered plenty of spam. My only complaint is all the breakable glassware...having a few plastic cups or bowls would be VERY helpful with kiddos. We'll for sure be back though, maybe with our own camper even.

Great spot to get off the highway and relax for a day or two. Campground looks nicely maintained and bathrooms were clean and looked after. Didn't get the chance to use the pool but it looked like a great spot! Play area for kids too. Would recommend it if you're travelling I-80 and need somewhere to stop overnight or for longer.

Clean facility, very helpful and friendly staff, lots of activities. Our fire ring was missing the grill grate. I mentioned it to one of the employees and he had a new fire ring with grill grate installed before I made it back to my campsite. We will stay at this KOA again next year.

We liked everything about the campground except for the traffic noise. Could you put up a wood fence along the edge of the road for a little more privacy?

Beautiful campground, Very Very clean dog parks, pool was semi-heated, wished there was a hot tub. Would definitely stay again!

We look forward to our stay in West Des Moines KOA every summer when we are in Central Iowa. Reservation and check in is convenient. Love the text chat with the office. Clean, great Wi-Fi, love the pizza/wings, teens love the pool, and first time camping with our dog went great. Other dog owners were respectful and agreeable. See you next summer!

The campground was alright. I was disappointed that being a KOA that the bathroom was in terrible shape you could smell the mildew as soon as you walked in. The showers had mildew in them the walls are peeling away from the sides. They advertise wifi it is non existent. No pool. Nothing like the website

We stayed for a two short days. We did not use any of the amenities, but there were kids playing and everything was kept clean and neat. The staff was extremely friendly. We did order pizza to our site and that was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Was a great stay . They were very helpful working with me on getting my spot .lots of stuff to do if you wanted to do something from movies and live music, swimming and things for the kids to do. Was there a month enjoyed my time there. Also let us no by text about what to do in case of bad weather and what activities they had going.thank you for wonderful stay.

We have traveled all around the U.S. KOA West Des Moines is by far one of the nicest KOAs we have stayed at. The check in was easy, we were escorted to our site! They even delivered pizza to our site after ordering. ( great Pizza). The staff and Manager are top notch and extremely helpful for any needs. It is really clean and well laid out. A lot of children’s activities. RECOMMEND 100%

We loved this KOA. It was very clean, well staffed and it had a lot of activities. Great little store. It is a little outside of the city but overall would stay here again.

My dog and I stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was clean, comfortable, well outfitted, and had a deck with a great view of the pond. I brought supplies that were not needed as there was even dish soap and toiletries! I had an issue with my tv and maintenance was there in minutes! The grounds were well kept and campers respectful of one another. I will travel with KOA.

Very helpful and nice staff! The bathrooms were clean and so was the pool. Nice sites and very quiet at night. I will be back for sure and would highly recommend this place.

Good site open for dish and starlink. Great store with pizza and ice cream. Pool looked nice but didn’t use. Not far to go to the state fair

We have stayed here twice now. Everybody here is so nice, there are so many amenities, and the accommodations are just spectacular. I am sure we will be back again.

This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest KOA's we have stayed at. The large campground is well located, clean, well maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful. Their pizza kitchen is right next to the registration desk and the aroma of baking pizza is enough to easily encourage purchasing a pizza for dinner. The pizza was just okay, but helped me avoid cooking for the evening :-)

Bathrooms are way too far from the bathrooms. Tent sites have no shade. Other than that they are fine.

Very well maintained, lots of things to do, great dog park, lots of food and RV supplies for purchase, great pizza at restaurant. We had a mechanical issue with our tow vehicle and the office was very accommodating with helping us extend our stay. 10/10.

Wow! Can’t say enough about the level of service this KOA offers. Office/ store staff to the folks who escorted us to our site were quite friendly. This KOA offers Hunt Brothers pizza and wings which they deliver to your site. We were just passing through the area, so it was a one night stay. We were able to fill our propane as well. We will return.

The site was easily accessible, but we showed up for after hours check and they didn't have us on the list because we booked online. Glad they answered the phone after hours and were able to confirm the early afternoon online booking and get us a site.

We enjoyed our stay at the one room cabins, very clean. When booking the reservation, the lady on the phone was super helpful in getting us booked and making sure we knew where we would be going for our late check in. Bathrooms and showers were very clean! Thanks for a great stay!
