I had a pleasant stay. Staff was great as they were busy repairing things after a big hail storm. Everything went great. I would book again.

campground is our stop every year when go to Colorado. Usually three times a year. Very well taken care of and staff is super.

It was terrible for 78 bucks a night! Wi-Fi was completely useless, the grounds are gross. I understand they just had a hail storm in the area but this has nothing to do with our stay. We used zero of the amenities, the dog park is terrible the other campers did not lease aggressive dogs. We met a pitbull and a German shepherd that bite their owner. This place needs to be leveled. Never again

Our travel trailer had major damage due to hail here. We were told to move to another site. The new site they put us in had broken glass all over the ground that was not cleaned up. Very diificult on our dogs. The staff and manager were not nice at all in spite of the situation. Stay way from this KOA at all costs.

Sorry you also had hail damage from the storm. Like we had talked about, the site you were in was booked for several days and we could not move their reservation. We DID accommodate your need to stay longer and you moved 1 site over. Broken glass was next to neighbors rig, not in your site.

Miserable experience at this KOA. We were told we had to move to another site after major hail damage to our travel trailer. No concessions were made for the store being closed at times and all of the other amenities we paid the higher KOA rates for. Staff was not very nce, including the manager. Will no longer stay at any more KOAs after our terrible experience here. Our advice stay away!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Like you noted the hail storm not only hit your rig but everybody on the campground including major damages to office. Due to those damages our game room and parts of office were closed for repairs. You were offered a refund for nights not used. We accommodated your extended stay you requested.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They moved us to a campsite away from the highway. A recent hail storm damaged parts of their building but they were very accommodating under circumstances.

They were just hit with a hailstorm 2 days before we arrived. There were crews cleaning up debris and rebuilding but all systems were GO. Friendly, helpful management and workers. The campground is clean, bathrooms & showers are clean and running. Laundry has plenty of washers & dryers. On site propane is very helpful. We will stay here again when in the Denver area.

It was wonderful the staff was so willing to help Only drawbacks were close to the highway so the noise of the cars at night buying firewood by the piece rather than by bundle. Hail damage made it so the store was closed.

This is the first KOA I have ever stayed at. Located right off the highway (very noisy) If you don’t mind being on top of your neighbor, then this is the campground for you. This area had hail damage 2 weeks ago, and our site was covered with glass from the neighbor’s window. The neighbor, nor the campground picked it up for new paying customers. Overnight. Got in late and had asked for a pull thru on phone earlier with agent but paperwork left showed back in but no assigned spot number anywhere on paper map. office was closed but manager saw us driving around the campground and came over and promptly placed us in the pull thru aimed right out the exit road for early departure next morning. Nice quiet off the highway place.

We stayed at this KOA several times in 2016. Something has changed now. We were greeted very warmly and shown to our site. We went into the office to order a pizza (very good) but missing were all the last minute items a KOA would have. Our site was over in the long-term section. We appreciated getting a site, but what is up with all the long term campers at a KOA where rates are so high?

We have a 44 ft coach plus we tow a jeep. We booked a pull through for one night. We were put in such a tight spot that we had to ask two other campers to move their auto so we could be on the road by 8am. (There were other bigger spot open that would have would so much better). But the gentleman that parked us was extremely friendly and the park itself is well taken care of.

Robert was very helpful and friendly. The campground was arranged well with easy in and out access. Even though it is close to the interstate we didn't notice the noise. Needs more gravel on the roads/sites, and the restrooms/showers area was stinky. Perhaps a little overpriced for the stay. We paid $10 less at LaJunta for a better location. Still less expensive than motel stay. �

Most everyone had a bigger unit than us. We had the smallest truck. There was lots of expensive R V s here. We were sandwiched between large R V s. We felt down a little.

We ended up having to stay 2 extra nights due to a hail storm. The office was very helpful and was able to allow us to stay at our same spot those 2 extra nights. Thank you so much.

Even though our timing was off, weather wise, we experienced the kindest actions from our hosts. We arrived May 10, less than 1 hour before we were hit with a huge hail storm. Everyone in our group of 4 campers sustained damage. Scot and his crew made temp repairs so that we could all stay. Also gave credit because our pancake breakfast was cancelled due to the hail damage. So considerate!

Staff was very nice and accommodating, especially given the huge hail storm that occurred the night we arrived. They cleaned up branches promptly! Some sites are barely large enough for our 35' MH with double slides. When we had neighbors, they were too close for us. Next time we will choose a larger site.

Friendly staff greeted us! The RV sites were way to close to each other- No privacy at all. I couldn’t open the blinds because I was looking into the next campers window. There were more mud than gravel on our site. They recently had a hail storm and damage was done to the main building so unable to purchase anything in their store. Their were multiple people around doing work on the area.

Park had recently been hit by a storm and some amenities were unavailable as a result. Plus the septic system had been overrun with storm water and the entire property smelled of raw sewage. I understand storms happen. But, really, KOA should have offered a deep discount to those of us coming in unawares of the problems. Park staff were very nice, though.

Sorry your stay was not what you wanted. We are on City water and sewer. The huge amount of golf ball to base ball sized hail and very heavy rains did cause excess rain water on the grounds and constant rain for the following 3 days did not help. Come see us next time for a better experience.

Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, lots of activities for kids, and a very nice dog park. Loved the pull through patio area we stayed in. Cons: arcade, store, and dinner options were closed due to a recent hail storm that we didn't know about beforehand. Bathrooms were closed at night, so limit liquids before bed if you're someone who goes at night. Overall good experience, would stay again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Due to the sever hail and rain storm on May 10th we have suffered major damages to everything that was outside including our main building. Our guys are doing everything they can to keep bathrooms open for guest in the rustic cabins and tent sites. Guests with rigs can use their own facilities.

I felt really bad for them. They were cleaning up from a hail storm that did a lot of damage. The facilities were good and the staff was awesome. The only drawback was how far away from the city it was.

Intended as an overnight stop, but due to unprecedented hail and thunderstorms, and resulting hail damage to truck and rig, we ended up there an additional 2 nights. Staff could not have been more accommodating and gracious. Helped us find a mobile glass repair tech, as well as shelter during the storm for us and pets. Great folks. Highly recommend.

Just a gravel lot with hookups. Way over priced! Was just a convienient location for one night. Staff is very nice but would not stay here again.

Tom and his group were amazing and accommodating. We had mechanical issues with our RV and we missed our date getting in the park. However once we were able to make it to the park, they made room for us to stay without reservations multiple days in order to get our repairs done. We greatly appreciate this KOA and will always return when coming through Strasburg.

We were on site 98. Told after we set up, Wi-Fi is sketchy and no cable available , it’s hit or miss. Charged outrageous price for no amenities. Lots of permanent sites. Would not stay here again.

Very nice park, stayed one night. Check in process was personal/simple/fast. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Order pizza and it was delicious! Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Son lives down the street. Laundry room clean overall park was great. only thing was noise from freeway. Definitely would recommend and will be coming back again.

This is a well maintained campground with fairly clean amenities but very close to I-70. Good pull thrus for larger rigs and readily accessible off the interstate. My only cautionary warning is if you have a pop-up camper or primitive tent camping intentions, bring your ear plugs because the interstate is quite loud.
