This KOA is great. Beautiful pool and adorable farm animals to feed and pet. We loved staying here!

It was a very nice time. It is an easy drive to all interesting points. The camp mascots were constantly around for an ear scratch and to make guests smile

Did not stay in our camper very long at all as we were touring all day. Had a little bit of a hard time parking the camper as one of the goats was in the way. He seemed a little too friendly as he tried to come into my trailer. But the campground was great and we absolutely adored the fantastic view we had of the mountains!

Your facility should NOT be able to claim the"KOA" title. Terribly un-level campsite, small sites, very cramped in our site a d could hear everything our neighbors said/did. Dirty surroundings. Ry poor transport service to downtown. Just an unclassy campground that should not be a "KOA". Stayed at several KOA's ob this two wk vacation and you just habe a lot of work to do to even compare.

The owners are great. Great location. Having a trolley stop is wonderful. But sites are too close for our liking. However, we noticed most campgrounds in area have sites close together so if one doesn’t mind that, this place is a good option.

Overall the campground was well kept and clean. Maybe needs a little more room on each site and perhaps some more signage for faculty use is needed- ie the Laundry room, but overall a good stay, would recommend.

Ask for 50 amp we got 30 amp. We were told by the office we had to park down below because we could not check in until 3 o’clock. The person who owned the spot came out and told us we to far out and we had to park in the bushes making it hard to get out of the door. We could not park our car by us. And said when we leave make a u-turn to get out which was impossible in a motorhome.

Great overnight stay! They had propane fire for you. The trolley comes to the campground and takes you into town!

Great location and trolley service to Deadwood. Staff is so nice and helpful and I fell in love with Pete the mini donkey. I will stay again.

Spaces are VERY close. Only a few feet between trailer door and neighbors sewer hose. Additionally, there are pet goats that roam the campground. Can’t sit or eat outside without having to continually chase them away plus goat droppings everywhere. Have to be very careful where you walk. They chewed on tablecloth and purse. Even bit my husband. Very annoying.

Nice fun stay Goats cute but a little annoying as they tried to get in cars/yralers

Nice campground love Pete and the goats, maybe not in our camper though, LOL! They were fun. My dog does not like other animals but she loved the little black goat.

Love this camp. The staff is awesome. Sites are unique atop a hill in the canyon. Hookups were great. The trolley will take you into Deadwood, runs a route about town and will bring you back, VERY convenient. The camp burro, "Pete" and his goat buddies roam around adding some local color. We were in a motorhome.

Staff were pleasant, the manager even offered to drive us to town since the trolley had stopped. Deck and propane fireplace was very relaxing. Restrooms were clean and showers were nice and hot.

Great place, wonderful Host. Site are a little to close is reason for the 4 star, but worked for us. Facilities we good and laundry room was perfect. There were some nice looking cabins to rent.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The camp was a little different being built up the side of a mountain instead of flat valley ground. We had a space at the top and it was very much to our liking. I would stay here again and highly recommend this camp to anyone.

Very convenient to the Mickelson Trail and local craft beer in the camp store.

Nice small campground near Deadwood. With shuttle but a cab might be a better option.

Very nice time loved the fact that the trolly came to the campground

Just not used to the hills in this campground. Staff was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable about things to do.

Lousy upper bathrooms. Way overpriced for camping in a gravel pit with a picnic table.

Amazing camp ground! Very highly recommended. So close to town! New bathrooms and showers! Nice gas fire pits. Donkey and goats wets a lot of fun. Staff was so kind and helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay. Great staff! Very quiet and peaceful! Was great to have the trolley into Deadwood! :-) Only drawback was the goat poop all over that could be tracked into the camper if you weren't careful where you stepped. :-(

Some back in spots don’t leave a lot of room to hookup and disconnect, due to another camper in front of you. Staff was well accommodating and even gave us a ride into town when the trolley didn’t show up.

Our 3rd year for Kool Deadwood Nights and our first time bringing our own camper. It worked out great having the trolley stop right there.

We loved this campground. The different levels up the hillside made for some great opportunities to exercise. Facilities we very clean and the views from are campsite were really nice.

Aside from the fact that they did not have a pull through that we reserved and we had to take off the trailer and car and stuff everything into a back 9n spot it was an ok place. The electric went out due to overload and you could not use your ac, for a few hours. The entrance and each section was very steep. You are on a mountain so it is like 3 plateaus where the sites are located.

Great stay!

Very close quarters and doors slamming all the time Felt very cramped and noisy
Aug 24, 2023
Very clean bathrooms were closed really enjoyed our stay would definitely stay again the people that ran it were very very friendly and will recommend it to everybody we we talk to

Pool was really dirty, advertised freshly made mini donuts...really it was just reheated stale donuts. Stacked everyone close together even when there were open sites where they could have spread us out. Showers barely worked.

Disappointing, the owner gave us a site for 1 night not the one we reserved online 2 weeks before. He said he was keeping the site we reserved for someone who will be staying for more than 1 day to make more money.Site we got was barely big enough for our 24' RV. Spoke to the couple that got our reserved spot which they had just booked for 1 night ONLY!For their 12' RV! Not be coming back here.

Nice KOA, set up well, easy to access. Has all the hookups, multiple settings. Tent, cabin, campers and trailers and 5th wheel. Great view.

Whenever we're in the Black Hills for the Sturgis rally or just visiting we always stay here. The CG is now under new management but they seem to be doing a terrific job. This time we were tent camping in a site we last camped in back in 2013. I always recommend this place to friends, and those seeking a place to camp while in the "Hills." They also feature a trolley that takes you into Deadwood and brings you back.
