Lovely stay! Staff are completely involved, welcoming, and accommodating. Clean bathrooms and showers. Nice little community patio area and fire pit outside the store area.

The campground facilities were well maintained and every employee was positive, pleasant, and helpful. The gentleman who guided us to the campsite took the time and asked us if we wanted recommendations on how to experience the most of the Black Hills for the two days we had scheduled. He provided exceptional detail and we saw/experienced the Black Hills so well we are already planning our return

Stayed about a week. Was convenient to all attractions. When I called for reservations only a couple of days before arrival they did not have the time open we wanted. But when we arrived and asked to stay longer they made some move others around so we were able to stay the week. Park very clean. Spaces very close to together. Lots of different kind of spaces.

We stayed for a week. Staff were very friendly, and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Bathrooms and showers were clean. We had a patio site and it was very nice. We purchased wood but couldn't get it to burn, I think it may have been wet. Would definitely stay here again.

The team at the Custer KOA is outstanding! I called in with a last minute reservation request and Lucy went out of her way to help me. The facilities were great, super clean and quiet. My daughters enjoyed all the activities. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed are stay here. We had a quiet site in the back. The bathrooms were well maintained and my son loved the jump pillow up front.

As usual the camping was great, I do one draw back this year. We were in one of the sites down by the rear washroom and baths. I didn't realize how small those site are. The neighbor is practically on your site as well. Very little privacy. But the staff were great and friendly and no problems.

We had separate reservations for a consecutive 2 night stay. When we checked in, Treva went above and beyond to make it work out so we would not have to move. We were able to have the pull thru full hook up we preferred for both nights. It took a few minutes and her extra effort was greatly appreciated. She knows how to provide customer service. Clean, quiet, well maintained campground.

This is our 6th time staying at Custer KOA so we must like it! Walt, the owner and all of the staff are marvelous and go out of their way to make us feel special and like we are home! The grounds are well kept and clean as well as the buildings. The restrooms and showers are so clean that they gleam! The snack bar and patio are comfortable and inviting. Thank you everyone!

Great staff, property clean and well taken care of, breakfast is good and not as expensive as other places in town, they deliver firewood to your site, firewood and ice fairly priced, many types of RV, cabin, and tent sites. Our RV site was pretty level, but our fir pit and picnic table was not. We booked late so we got the last minute availability only. Playground is nice and we felt safe.

This KOA was the best KOA we've ever stayed in. What made the difference for us was the staff. They went out of their way to provide the best customer service we've experienced at any campground in our travels. The icing on the cake for us was when the gentleman delivered our firewood to us in his pajamas. Having said that, it wasn't for the wonderful attire, it was that he did this with a smile even though we had not arrived back to the campground until well after the office was closed and it was already dark. This KOA is beautiful and has all the amenities that a traveller could ask for. It is located within a half hour drive of so many of the attractions in the area. We'll be back and we're hoping to have the same gracious and friendly staff to greet us again.

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! We splurged for a patio site this time & it did not disappoint. Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny, who were amazing!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. Nice to be able to come back to your campsite after a fun day of exploration & be able to relax comfortably outside with a nice fire (some of the KOAs where we stayed on this trip, simply did not have enough room between sites to do that comfortably). We certainly hope to return...love this area & this KOA is one of favorite campgrounds in the US!
