From US 24: Take CO 67 south approximately 12 miles. Turn left onto CR 81 towards Victor. Campground will be on the left approximately 1/2 mile.
From Cripple Creek: Take CO 67 north approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto CR 81 towards Victor. Campground will be on left approximately 1/2 mile.

Newmont Mining Corporation conducts guided tours of their surface operations Memorial Day-Labor Day. Tours originate at the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum, in Victor, CO. All proceeds from the tours are donated to the museum as part of Newmont Mining Corporation's community support program. Tours are $8.50 per person all donated to the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum; plus a 6% booking fee; there is a $1 minimum booking fee. Note that children must be at least 5 years old to go on the tour. Tours are limited to 13 (van capacity). If you want to make group reservations or have questions during the times of the year the museum is closed, please email [email protected]. Tours are about 2 hours in length. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour time to sign waivers and view a safety video. Reservation holders who do not arrive 15 minutes early may be replaced with a standby and your reservation will not be refunded. The elevation will vary as will the temperatures and the driving/walking surfaces will be rocky; please dress for cold, windy weather and wear appropriate walking shoes - only fully enclosed shoes are allowed (sandals); full-length pants are required - no shorts are allowed.
