We weren’t notified that the store/office closed at 3pm on the day of our arrival. We weren’t able to purchase firewood. The bathrooms closest to the tent area were not open and we had to walk to the ones near the front of the campground. Very inconvenient especially at night. The showers were clogged and water pooled up.

Very understaffed. Dirty bathrooms. 'Closed for the Season' bathroom facilities left us with a long walk every time we needed to go even though the grounds were full of campers. Our tent spot was littered with limbs and branches forcing us to clean up before we could see up our tent.

Our stay was terrible, we stayed at tent 604. We choose KOA why because we stayed at Palm Springs KOA before and it was great! But when we came here, it was very difficult to find out out our tent space. The map shows everything clearly but since there was no light it was very difficult to find out the spot. Also the spot is open to forest and there is no compound wall. Spot was ugly with cow dun

Granted tent camping in the late fall early winter can have it's challenges, but the location was wonderful. A big plus were the clean and hot showers. Since very few fellow campers were with me (like none) the whole area was nice and quiet! Loved the location being close to town but feels like it's miles from anywhere.

The camp site was in an area where the majority of trees were cut down so i felt like I was camping in a “dead” forest. The neighbors in the cottages were loud and allowed their little dogs to bark at all hours. The morning I left there were police at the neighboring cottage. Although the location was good the actual experience was disappointing!

Last minute booking for a remaining tent site. Site was not very private and my neighbor ignored the leash requirement for their dog. That was annoying. Some of the RV sites were quite nice tucked in among redwood trees. The little cabins also looked adorable.

Not the safest site, if i were to stay again id only stay in a cabin. I feel like after dark nothing it can be a free for all for homeless activity with no supervision. If you are camping there dont leave anything of value out at night. Just spend the extra $ for a cabin. Or drive further up to the nicer brandon KOA. I wanted to like crescent city KOA but it felt sketchy. Definitely a one and done

Pretty wooded campsite with private tent sites surrounded by nature. Facilities nice and clean.

Not like any other KOA we’ve stayed at, seemed under developed for tents. Showers were good, laundry needed washing machines wiped out….pet hair.

Overall it was good. Albeit, the forest fires of the year are not the fault of KOA. However, a notification of restrictions and lack of power and the amenities offered to us originally, would have gone a long way. We put up with cold showers and non-working bathrooms with backed up drains and septic. One now before we left of our 4 days, we got a warm shower. We just needed better communication.

I was very disappointed by this campground. When paying the extra money for a KOA, I expect the bathrooms to be adequate. There was vomit on the floor of the men’s bathroom for 2 days. Very unclean. We were also disappointed that out tent site was not at all level.

Nice campground, but two aspects are not so nice: 1) The office closes too early and 2) the washrooms were not cleaned during our stay of 2 nights.

It was a really nice place and we had a good night. The restrooms in the back were a nightmare. There was vomit at the mens rooms. Also, there was no water. So we used the restroom in the front, which was much better.

Among the redwoods, we found our friends. The KOA hosts helped us select the perfect spot. This beautiful peaceful campground is very clean and quiet, wonderful amenities and, most of all, that special KOA host hospitality. This is a great launching spot for exploring the northern California redwoods.

Campsite was peaceful and lots of space, clean, spacious. Camp staff were friendly. Bathrooms a little dirty, one day out of 9 days, one toilet was clogged and the other no toilet paper.

Tent Sight 114 had tree roots sticking up thru the ground with no clear flat spot to pitch my tent. Slept in my car. In morning all 4 Rest Room sinks clogged & backed while washing my hands. Disgusting.

Clean, efficient and tents are (thankfully) separate from RVs. But really only the place to stay in if you value convenience over beauty. Grateful to have gotten any spot at all at such late notice.

Very friendly and helpful staff at this campsite, highly recommended is the tour through the redwoods which is described in great detail in a sheet which is posted in the office. The campsites are nice and have everything you need, sanitary facilities are clean

There was no noise regulation after 10PM- the family next to us was very loud all the way up to midnight. The sprinkler, which was also next to our site, was on throughout the day AND night, into the next morning. It’s not a quiet sprinkler. The shower is just a big hose above your head and would often lose warm water. We expected more from a KOA. At least the bathrooms were clean.

The Majority of the old growth redwood trees have recently been cut down. It ruined the place it feels like camping in a logging zone mostly exposed and bulldozed, I was incredibly disappointed and sad to see how negatively it has changed and lost its forest feel.

Friendly staff, quiet site except for the wood chipper nearby at 7am! A bit of a confusing setup but really pretty and fairly private! Kids enjoyed the goats, playground, and game room! Also has a great gift/necessity shop but the hours are disappointing!

restrooms were very dirty when we arrived on a sunday afternoon. they were cleaned well mid-morning the next day. Was very unhappy to see all the redwood trees that had recently been cut down

It was an amazing stay, the kids loved the woods, the arcade and just having fun, the dog park kept dog happy and everything including restrooms and laundry room were clean and convenient, Thank you for wonderful memories.

Tent site 114 does not have a flat/clear enough area for a tent. I carcamped & had to maneuver my truck to get somewhat level. Also construction going on which wasn’t mentioned in booking by phone or check in.

Very accommodating folks. They moved us when the site wouldn’t work for us and gave us a much better site for motorcycles.

We had a beautiful camping spot! The campground was clean and quiet. Wish we stayed longer, we were just passing through. We'd definitely stay again but stay longer!

Really great KOA, cabins are in the midst of Redwoods. Clean campground overall. Office hours are not that great, 10-3 only.

I love all the great staff that work there, they have a few young helpers that bring you wood or whatever else you need. Debbie is great in office and well Steve the main mantance man is amazing. Keep up good work
