Great campground. Easy access from 101. Lots to see and do. Clean bathroom and friendly staff. Eager to help. Quiet and really enjoyed the tall redwoods on property. Would stay here again

It was a decent place to spend the nights for our Redwood National Park exploration. It wasn’t as nice as most KOA campgrounds we usually stay at. The office was never open when we needed something.

The only reason to stay at this KOA was the gorgeous Redwood grove in the park. The owner has decided to obliterate it, apparently for profit. He didn’t just “thin the trees,” he decimated them. It’s a horrific scene! We will never return. Shame on KOA.

The sites were a good size and easy to maneuver. Late check-in was very easy. We were expecting full WiFi for our site, but the internet does not reach past the cabins. This location needs a WiFi booster for their full hookup RV sites. There was a ton of forestry work being done around the site, some of the flagging tape was down. Made it a little tricky to know where to walk paths.

I’m sure it’s beautiful normally but it was noisy due to trees being cut down and unorganized from the get go! We arrived late and were told our site info was on the door…it wasn’t! So we had to move the next morning. Did I say we arrived late? According to the hours posted online we got in early enough to check in…but apparently 10a-4p is the ACTUAL office hours.

Beautiful campground. We came late and it took us 20 minutes to find our unmarked site with very narrow access due to downed trees and logs. Bathroom near our site was closed. The open bathroom was dated, clogged drain. Looks like they are expanding quite a bit and hopefully will upgrade their bathroom as well.

we were there for 4 nights stuck in a very small spot that would be an overnight spot no room to set up canopy or proper camp. watched better camps go to overnight campers. we had no shade firepit about 3 feet from next camp right on the motorhome next door, could not not even open awning with slide out had to squeeze by it and hedge to get to table we wont be back

We have not been to this campground for over three years. The place is really run down and in need of care. The play area and dog park grass was so long it basically could not be used. The garbage cans were overflowing. There are also homeless individuals occupying spots in the tent area. They hang out near the bathroom, game room at night. That was right next to our campsite. We will not return.

1.Upon arrival the Bathrooms were atrocious. 2.The office only being opened until 4:00 was very inconvenient, as there was no one there to report any problems. 3.The grass in the dog park had not been cut and was extremely high. 4.The construction(which was never mention)started at 7:30AM. 5. I do not appreciate you cutting down the tree's we went to California to see.

Oh I love going to this RV park the people in the office so nice and they are so sweet when I called if there’s just one special RV spot open, I will ask them and they will give it to me. It is my favorite spot in the RV park and we will be coming back in June. I will make my reservations.��

This was probably the worst KOA I’ve ever stayed at. No signs of life from any staff or ownership. One of two bathrooms was out which meant two men’s toilets for the entire park. Outlets didn’t work in the bathrooms. There are other nice RV parks in the area I will stay at next time.

Included in the amenities on website was Cable TV which was Not available - we still had to pay full price. Lots of tree cutting that started at 7:50 AM Not fair that cable is included on the website.

Says there is cable but none of the hookups work. I think the owner needs to work on the amenities first before taking out all of the beautiful trees. That was what attracted us to stay here through the years. Staff is great! This was the reason for the ratings.

The Redwoods, the whole reason to stay at this KOA were being worked on and it didn't say anywhere this was the case, otherwise I wouldn't have booked this KOA. It was our first KOA experience and it was disappointing. The wifi wouldn't work in our site and the cable TV only had 2 channels that would actually come in clear.

I usually feel very confident in booking a KOA. This time I was disappointed. Sites were not even close to being level, advertised cable tv did not work, they’re “working on it”, grass needed mowing. Sites were muddy because they had potholes and roads were extremely bumpy and had big holes. When trying to exit, road was blocked by workers vehicles and we had to turn the wrong way.

Staff is rarely available. Said they would be in the office until 4, we got there at 3:20 and everyone was gone. Loud barking dog (at one of the cabins) all weekend, no staff around. Playground falling down, trash and old equipment littering the grounds.

It is sad to see all the Redwoods that have been cut down in the back campground sites. Expensive for what you get. Laundry room machines also need to be serviced. My washing machine sounded like a jet taking off in all cycles.

This is our favorite KOA to camp at. There is a lot to do around the area. The only thing that disappointed us is there were only 4 cable channels that came in.

This campground is one of the most poorly maintained campground I have ever stayed at. The facilities were run down. There were 2 shower buildings yet only 1 was available to use and even then only 2 of the 3 stalls were operational. Playground and rec room were poorly maintained. All in all this campground is in need of a complete upgrade. It does NOT meet the level of a Holiday level campground.

This campsite was nicely kept and the ground are nice. The front desk was so helpful and accommodating. The campground has concrete patio so you are leveled with a picnic table and area to burn a campfire. Great place to stay.

We arrived past open hours, but found checking in was easy. The grounds are rural and lovely. The restrooms and laundry room clean and tidy. They were doing some thinning out of trees in the back areas. Everything was safely contained with caution tape and postings to not enter as it was dangerous. We were still able to walk in the direction of the meadow where we viewed about twenty elk.

When we checked in and was given a map to our spot. When we got to our site there were 2 cars parked in it. I walked back to the office and instead of getting them moved she put us in a lesser spot. The hook ups were on the wrong end so I had to pull clear through to hook up. It was muddy where our steps were but we had no choice. On the way out the dump was plugged and we couldn't dump. Level gravel pad with full hookups. Easy access directly off I-101 Toilets, showers and laundry we're all very clean and a big plus is that they have recycling bins. All the staff were very nice, Debbie in the office especially. The only thing that would have made it stay better would have been the weather, it rained continuously!

Since CA has had practically none stop rain over 3 months this shows in the mud bogs around each site. A load of gravel is needed along with stepping stones to allow us to get in our RV without mud coated shoes. Also the cable is useless. There is no abc, cbs or nbc. 11 of the 16 channels are advertising DISH cable.

Really great KOA, cabins are in the midst of Redwoods. Clean campground overall. Office hours are not that great, 10-3 only.
