Our local area boasts quaint downtown shopping, antiquing along country roads, a 34-mile bike trail, more than a dozen wineries and microbreweries, casinos, farmers' markets, a kid's museum, marinas, championship golf courses, horseback riding, lighthouses, and dune rides.
Canoeing or kayaking has always proven to be a family fun activity. Doe-Wa-Jack canoe rentals offers canoe and/or kayak trips down the Dowagiac River, the largest cold water river in lower Southwest Michigan. While drifting down the river, you may just catch a glimpse some wildlife like ducks, geese, deer, Blue Heron, and turtles to name a few. The river is canopied by beautiful hardwoods such as Oaks, Maples and Beeches.
