Chincoteague Island KOA is located near the entrance to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island. In the Refuge you can observe many species of wildlife, as well as the famous Chincoteague Wild Ponies. The Refuge also offers a wide variety of nature related activities, including hiking & biking trails, bird watching, crabbing, clamming, oystering, and fishing.

Today, several rocket launches can occur each year, with rockets delivering payloads to the Space Station or deploying satellites into the skies.
