We have a 36’ Motorcoach and were very surprised that we were put in a back site, a bit small, and in front of the dumpsters. There were a lot of open sites available during our stay.

Everything was fine until the last day of our stay. They began working on a water line early in the morning, by noon there was no water for our half on the resort until 10pm. No one was told anything so we could fill our tanks. A nice “hey we’re working on the water line so you may want to fill up just in case” would have been nice. We enjoyed our stay. Bathrooms, laundry facilities and pool area were always clean and well kept. Office staff were helpful and courteous.

Enjoyed entertainment and campsite I had perfect spot for my set up bar tenders need a little nice ness they seemed to ignore me as they walk by..wasnt that busy..but maybe they were having a bad day but I will visit again for sure

The only thing is the Pool restrooms were not cleaned if they were the did a bad Job urinals were never cleaned, that's were the smell was coming from take a look inside them they have never been cleaned. The Pool has Green algae growing on the sides of the pool around the top ledges. does not get cleaned. No communication when something is not working like the water not a word from desk.

I was a bit concerned about the pool conditions as the water was extremely cloudy and did not smell sanitized. I am very familiar with in ground pool maintenance and would expect the overall conditions to be better managed due to the increased usage.

Reserved a whole 1 year in advance & paid for my site only to find out, when we checked in, the site was given to another camper. Someone at the counter told me “they weren’t there last year.” Well I was. I was told by a manager that the computer system moved me because I never paid the lock fee. Lock fee? I wasn’t called or emailed about this & there is nothing on your contract. Unaccepta

Overall the park was nice. Pros: end site next to pool, short walk to beach/bar. Some staff friendly/helpful Food was reasonably priced Pool area clean Cons: site was on a hill, impossible to level Fire ring was movable, filled with cigarette butts that were on the site. Some staff not so helpful Mixed Drinks at bar had little to no alcohol.

I have been here numerous times over the past few years, never have I seen the pool so disgusting as it was this past weekend. I literally could wipe the grime off the edge of the pool with my foot. The pool water was murky and cloudy. That is completely unacceptable! Also your beach area needs to be raked of all the dried up seaweed! Your high prices along with the extra amenity fees are absurd!

Great checkin process and I loved that they were open late. There was a band series the weekend. It would have been great to know at check in. It would have just made the process of getting tickets smooth. There was a water issue when I checked in, it would have also been nice to know bc I would have put a little water in the tank at check in.

Always a great time and friendly staff. This year was even more so, love the upgrades. Restaurant could use more bar tenders but it was really enjoyable. Food was delicious and affordable. Could clean the beach up a little from all the sea grass, but no big deal.

Wonderful campground, great beach, and the staff was great. The only negative I would sy is that they need a patrol at night. The kids were speedy around the campground in golf carts.

New manager Robert very nice. All staff from cleaning crew to office the nicest I have ever seen. Amenities plentiful for all ages. Our stay was from a 9 -68 year old family members. Love the beach as no harsh waves, pools cleaned and plenty of seating for comfort and shade. Cape Charles is beautiful. On site diner delicious and well taken care of. Golf cart rents plentiful

So much fun! Lots to do at the campground for all ages. Sunset grille had good drinks and food. Reggae weekend was fun and a good fundraiser for st Jude’s!

The only negative is, the restrooms near the pool rarely had toilet paper or paper towels.

We had a great stay and plan to come back. Beautiful area, friendly staff, and very well-stocked store. Great pool, but the bathrooms need to be cleaned several times a day and restocked.

The campground and stay was good. Our biggest upset was they had to do a water line repair which is understandable when a line breaks but they gave campers no notice the water was going to be cut off for the day. With no notice the kids ran hot water heater and burned up the element since no water was coming in and we were in the pool. we could have filled our holding tanks with a simple email.

The pool was very nice. The beach area and bar/grill was excellent! My only problem was the configuration of the septic hookups at my site. My neighbors septic was next to my picnic table and 10 feet from my door on the same side was another sites septic. We cooked quickly outside and went inside. We were unable to sit outside and enjoy the evening breeze due to the stench. Site 420

We booked 2 campsites, each for 10 nights. Had to move sites because the neighbors were literally leaning up against our camper next to their fire pit. In our new site we were almost touching the RV behind us in order for us to get our 5th wheel out of the road. Water was off for several hours one day. We were also notified on our last day that pool cabanas were no longer free starting 7/15/23.

Overall I’m but bathrooms were atrocious and smelled horrible. No clean up or fans or ventilation that I could observe. Loved the reggae and beach. Food mediocre at restaurant - some good but burger bad

Had a great stay. Joshua and Patrick in the office were great! Power at the pole to the campsite was under spec; below 30 amps causing the pole to trip when running AC in RV. Notified front office. No one ever checked the power as far as we know. Had to turn of water heater for entire stay in order to run AC. Not happy about it, otherwise we loved everything about our stay. Will be happy to return

I drive over 9hrs to come here to camp with various family. Always love it. This time around there was some young girls and boys flying around the park every night in their cart blaring the horn till after midnight. Every worker just pretended it wasn’t happening. Only thing that annoyed me is when a worker yelled at us for moving the fire ring off the patio because it was flooded under water!

Some sites are tight, some are roomy. They do good job describing each. There was lots of bare dirt in most of the sites which leads to mud. Very nice pool and easy beach access.

Very nice and was our second time within a month. I just found out that there’s a military discount so I will ask about that next time. We will absolutely be back soon !!!

Fantastic KOA! Second year in a row visiting and the grounds are clean. Location is perfect. Memories made keep getting better. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Big shout out to Mike, Dave and Cindy for helping with an issue I had with my camper. Quick diagnosis and even quicker fix. The public restrooms could have been cleaner. This place is simply one of our favorites!

Enjoyed the stay for the most part. Bathhouse needed more cleaning. Had no water at my site for most of a day. Poison iivy on the back fence. The area is beautiful and the bar and grill on the beach is great.

We arrived at approximately 1:30pm on July 13, and checked in. We were escorted to our back in site by a nice young man, but as far as his ability to help with the backing in process he was not very skilled, but I was able to manage. I completely unhooked from my vehicle and went to hook up the water supply, NO WATER! No one told us of a broken water main. No water for showers. Communication!

One reason for the low rating is because I was told they do not allow scooters and I wasn't given any reason why. They allow motorcycles but not a state legal licensed 50cc scooter with a mororcycle title on the grounds. Also, there was an excess of straw on the beach which only allowed you limited area on the beach. Easy check in and the bathhouses were nice and clean.

We loved the park and everyone was friendly. I would like to suggest to keep the kitchen at Jackspot open longer, esp on fridays. We were disappointed that we couldn’t get a pizza after 5 pm :-( maybe have some more food available I. The camp store

Camper spot need TLC branches from tree hit roof on 5th wheel, did notice tell storm hit. Grass needed cutting, big hump at Picnic table, back end of lot washed out. Beach needed some TLC a lot of trash on beach even after watching cleanup crew leave. Camper store was nice, pool area nice, a good place to stay. But overall TLC overall would make a huge difference, show pride of ownership.

Everything was great. We were a bit concerned going into the trip having read other critical reviews, but our stay was great. The showers at the beach were fixed while we were there, but even the first few days when they weren't working we just used the pool hose to clean our feet (right across from the beach access). Everything met our expectations for a KOA campground.

Amazing stay! Only complaint would be that our site turned into a literal mud hole after it rained. We couldn’t let out 2 year old walk because she kept getting stuck. But to be fair it was a big storm, which is why it didn’t change my 5 star rating ! Bathhouses we’re spotless and very nice

The campground had the smell of sewage the entire stay. The pool was very cloudy and not clean. One of the two ice machines was broken. This campground has very little shade and appears to be more for long-term. However,the staff was pleasant and very helpful.
