Great location, as always! Loved the new Sunset Beach Bar & grill. This was our first time staying in a cabin. Unfortunately, it was very dirty. Thankfully I bring my own cleaning supplies before allowing my family in. Short staffing seems to be the major issue we saw. Trash not emptied on the beach or pool for days, tall grass. Very hopeful full staffing will fix all the problems easily.

We stayed in a safari tent - loved the tent! The good - the campground was nice - the restaurant, convenient with good food and decent prices. Beach was great. The bad - no water for almost an entire day, but no notice there was no water - just locked bathroom doors to leave people wondering. No enforcement of quiet hours. Bathrooms were subpar. Not enough bathhouses for size of campground.

The units look nice but there is no service at all. We complained that the water in shower and everywhere was cold and would not get hot. The maintenance came turned the water heater up but it didn’t fix it so we was taking cold showers. They said that was all they could do. I finally fixed it myself. No. Towels, no tv, lady in main office laught at us with no concern for our problems.

Check in was delayed for two hours because there was no water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only one pool was open. The playground is very small. Lots of highway noise and we were in a cabin all the way in the back.

We had a nice visit. Despite some water interruption, the facility was great. The wifi didn’t connect but that was a minimal inconvenience. Staff were friendly and working hard! Thanks for a great stay, we will be back!

This KOA was absolutely amazing. Only complaint is that some of the yards for the cottages were very small. Was not sure if I could even have a fire (which would have been right next to my vehicle--not a good idea). Everything else was perfect!! The beach, the pool, the store, and the staff were all absolutely AMAZING!!

This was the third year we’ve stayed. Overall everything was great! The new restaurant was WAY better than the previous years. Disappointments included the outdoor shower at the beach not working, the deck was under construction, and our bathhouse was in sub-par condition most of the time compared to previous years. Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves as always. Thank you!

We travel with a very large group, had a great time. However several units did not have hot water and never were able to be repaired beyond Luke warm temperature. The outdoor showers by the pool did not work, nor did the ones coming off beach,

Cabin was clean and well taken care of. The beach was dirty with trash outside the trash cans. Pool was closed. Dead fish smell at the fish cleaning station was disgusting. Cafe in the check-in building was closed in the morning. Screen door on the cabin was broken. It’s too bad the campground isn’t properly being taken care of.

I have been staying at the campground since they opened and love the location and the staff. If i was to say some constructive criticism i would suggest they put blinds on the cottage I was staying at instead of bed sheets, although i did not mind seeing i was fishing locally but i could see other people not liking that especially at the price they are paying to stay there.

We love this campground! It’s super clean and beautiful. The cabins are spacious. The atmosphere is light. It promotes a sense of community amongst strangers. Local law enforcement tends to drive through around dusk/night which amplifies the feeling of safety. The staff goes out of their way to be hospitable. There’s nothing like campground life, and Cape Charles is extra special.

Stayed a week at the KOA. We had two camper lots and a safari tent. The campground was very clean, a little inconvenient to have the bathhouse cleaned between 8 - 8:30 every morning, everyone was friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Mr. Skip for the help given in fixing my camper. Will definitely come back and recommend.

Dave is a wonderful manager. The lady at the front desk whose husband works on the cabins, was a straight up Karen but Dave and everyone else was wonderful. Definitely would come back just will never want to deal with her again.

Our tiny house was clean and well stocked. The check-in was smooth and the store was also clean and well stocked. We were disappointed the hammocks were no longer on the pavillion. Also no chairs/umbrellas for rent on the beach. Definitely will be coming back!

We got to use the brand-new cabin. It was very neat and clean. The water heater wasn't turn ON so it took about 2 hours to get a warm water at the first time. I was able to charge my tesla car with the provided pedestal. Swimming pool was great. Liked the people and like the site. This was our second visit in last 10 months to this site. Looking forward to come back . Happy summer.

Our favorite KOA!! The pool was closed due to unforeseen issues but they gave us a great deal on a golf cart which made up for it!!! the new ice machines are not worth the $4 per bag. All the KOA workers were super nice!!!! The sites were very clean and the bath houses were stocked and very clean!!

We checked in Late on Saturday June 3rd. Saturday we woke to find out that the Pool was closed and would be closed until. I called to speak with the Manger about a couple of issues with my Cabin. I never received a call back from the Manager about a possible refund of the resort fee for the days the pool was closed during our visit. We did have an Great stay would have love to give 5 stars. Thanks

The pool was closed, both pools actually. No one told us that when we checked in. It was closed our entire stay. Why make us pay an activity fee when your biggest activity wasn’t available. There were no hammocks where they were advertised to be. If you don’t have things available then they shouldn’t be on your website. The cabin was clean but there were holes in almost all the screens.

The location was great! However we stayed in a deluxe cabin-the beds were not made. We found the sheets in a bin in the main bedroom, there wasn’t any warm water, we had to shower at the bath house. The gravel and sea shell gravel was very painful on our feet and the pools were not open.

We already booked again for August time. The new staff were amazing. We went last year and it was such a bad time that we ended up leaving after a day , this year we said ok let's give it another try and I'm so happy we did. It was just what our family needed. Very relaxing, clean and the beds were way more comfortable. Also love the bug zapper seem to really help the area with bugs.

We have been staying at this resort every summer for the past four years. This summer was a major disappointment for me and my family. The pool was not open, the bounce pad was no longer filled fully with air and wasn’t “bouncy” at all, the station to clean your feet didn’t work, Connie at the front desk was extremely rude, our AC broke, we were put in a cabin right next to the stinky plan

Many cabins available but we were given the one with a giant blue tarp outside instead of landscaping, no fire pit in our location either. Pools not available for use.

The customer service at the office/ camp store are very rude and not helpful, they leave you waiting to checkout for up to 15 minutes. I was not told that the pools would not be opened even though the pools are advertised as being open by 5/26. I rented a Safari tent the tv and one light did not work. Only one of the days I was there was the bathhouse cleaned and restocked and focus was all over.

I was disappointed that we were not informed that the pools were closed. We were traveling with 4 children who were looking forward to swimming in the pools. I had originally booked with Sunset KOA but cancelled with them do to being informed that their pools would be closed during our visit. Also would have been nice if the community fire pit would have been lit every night and a band on Saturday

This KOA is a very nice place to stay. Everyone is so friendly when touring around the grounds on a golf cart. The beach bar has a decent menu with good pricing. The office staff is always so nice and helpful.

I would normally give a 5, but the cleanliness of the cabin this year was below par. There are also a bunch of things that need repair, such as the screen door, the frame is broken on the bottom which make it difficult to open as it drags on the deck and the screen itself is coming off the frame. There are a few other minor things that need repair.

We had a great time. Our cabin was somewhat clean. There was cat hair here and there and the floor needed a sweeping. Cat hair because I'm allergic to cats. Some of the dishes were not clean. Other than that great cabin and space. Clean linens which smelled clean.*** the washers and dryers in the laundry cabin needs a thorough cleaning. The washers inner room is very moldy and slimy..it smells

All the staff were friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the campground was not really ready for the holiday weekend. The pool was closed and not even full. The restaurant on the beach was not really ready to open. The restaurant in the lobby was closed. For what I paid for a cabin all the amenities were not really ready. Disappointed to say the least.

The cabins were fantastic. They were clean and appeared to be new or newly renovated. Staff was easy to work with and very accommodating. Would have liked more activities for the kids given the holiday weekend. Also the pools weren’t open when it appeared by the calendar they should have been.

Check in understaffed, took two hours to finally get a clean, unoccupied tent. Several unadvertised closings including both dining locations so there was no warning to plan ahead for this. Amenities unopened until memorial day, also without stating this anywhere. Staff was nice, rec team was a joy, but we were very much let down due to the high expectations set by the website and facebook.

Sheets hanging over the windows of our cabin living room. Advertised a restaurant and 2 pools none of them were opened. No dates listed on website so we assumed they were gonna be open. Shower not operational outside to wash sand off. The shower room near the beach was not kept clean. Not cheap rates at all for what we got. We stayed at the sunset bluff cabins . Definitely have room to improve

We absolutely loved the fact that dogs have they own beach. And if that is not enough, the fenced-in KampK9 is huge.

Stayed in the cabins and absolutely loved them!! They were so cute and had everything we needed! Do recommend they put a door mat before entering the cabin to wipe your feet but they also give you a broom to sweep up stuff within the cabin!! Friendliest staff and so helpful!!!

While the cabin was clean & a perfect location, blinds were damaged & some lights were out. Also, was charged for amenities that were not open such the pool, snack bar & restaurant. Front desk staff were not informed, giving out wrong info and very slow. Not answering phones. Highly recommend a cabin cleaning check off list to be displayed on refrigerator for guest to complete before checking out.

We had a great time at the Cape Charles KOA. We do wish we had known about the restaurant and pool not being open before Memorial Day, but we had a fantastic time regardless. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and thoughtfully organized for a family with small children and all the staff we encountered were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

As we rented a cabin. The cabin was nice but without problems. The units need to be sprayed for ants . There was sheets over the windows in front of cabin.Water leak under kitchen sink.

We stayed in the Safari tents and enjoyed every minute of it! The linens were clean and fresh as were the towels. We were surprised that the tent also had a mini-fridge and small TV. Additionally, the bathhouse was a short jaunt away and one of the cleanest campground bathhouses I’ve seen.

We had the loveliest time. The campground is so clean and well managed and everyone we met was so friendly. It was a very nice stay and we will be coming back.
